    Three finger spicy

I have been to this Layne's location a couple of times since their opening. Their chicken is more seasoned than their competitors, but it tends to be heavily a on the drier side. The toast is just regular white bread that is buttered and grilled. Their fries are really crispy and are the best part of their meals in my opinion. I have also tried the salted caramel milkshakes, which are a good blend of sweet and salty, but on the thicker side. However, if you are ordering large orders, please check your food and make sure they have everything correct. I recently ordered two of the family packs. One family pack consists of 20 pieces of chicken amongst fries and toasts. My order consisted of one regular family pack and one spicy family pack, which comes out to a total of 40 chicken tenders. After receiving the order, I opened the package at home and realized they had only given me 30 pieces of chicken all regular. I called and the best they could do was provide me the remaining ten of my chicken in the spicy flavor and two free fountain drinks. This was so disappointing, especially since it was for an event. If it was busy, it would have been understandable, but there was not a single soul when I went inside. Overall, the restuarant is a fast food chain is just like any other. However, it is halal for those that have food restrictions, which I think is it's most redeeming quality and why I gave it an extra star, as there are not many halal options around this small town.

5 finger meal and the one up.

Tried Layne's for the 1st time today, it was darn good. The seasoning on the regular and spicy is good, the spicy has just enough kick. The fries were and are the top performer, perfect crisp and flavor, the kind of fries that work in an air fryer. My only ding, would be the sauce IMO is not as good as Cane's, and they only fill the sauce up half way, not fully filled like Cane's. Overall, I give Layne's a 8.2, in my Dave Portnoy voice, Cane's gets a 7.2. Both places are good.

Chicken fingers were tasty, had a home cooked flavor to them. The gravy was good too, staff wasn't very friendly but it seemed clean.

I love Layne's, their fries are addictive and the chicken might not be the best, but it's on the top 3 best fast food chicken.

First time here, their spicy tenders were delicious! Great staff, very friendly. So please take care of them and fix the building's A/C.

On my continued search to find my favorite (not necessarily the best ) avocado toast, I found…read moremyself today at JWilson's Restaurant. As always, the restaurant was packed--which is always a great sign that something good is happening in that kitchen! My waitress, Bailey, was sweet, attentive, and very accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable. I started with a cup of their famous tomato bisque, and let me just say... I simply cannot come here without ordering it. This heartwarming soup, made with slow-roasted tomatoes, shrimp stock, cream, and Creole seasoning, is rich, comforting, and truly soothing to the soul. It remains my absolute favorite--if you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it! For my entrée, I ordered the Avocado Multi-Grain Toast. It's a light and satisfying plate featuring mashed avocado spread over thinly sliced multi-grain bread, served with your choice of sausage or bacon, an egg cooked your way, and a fresh tomato and cucumber salad. Everything on the plate was well-prepared and very tasty. If I could make one small personal tweak, I would love to see this served on a thicker slice of buttery toasted sourdough, maybe with a sprinkle of feta on top. That's just my personal preference and how I enjoy my avocado toast--others may find this version just right as is! The search continues for my perfect avocado toast, but this was a delicious and enjoyable stop along the way. Happy Sunday, and keep sharing those amazing finds on Best Bites!

On my most recent visit, I sat at the bar and started with a Buffalo Trace bourbon while looking over the menu. The bartenders here are always attentive and welcoming; in fact, the bartender remembered me from previous visits, which speaks volumes about the level of service they provide. Dinner was a ribeye cooked medium-rare with asparagus, and it was exactly what a good steak should be: perfectly cooked, with great flavor, and served hot. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. I followed that with their lemon icebox dessert and a lemon drop, both excellent, and finished the evening with a Four Roses Small Batch Select for a nightcap. What really sets J Wilson's apart is the staff's consistency and professionalism. The bartenders, servers, and kitchen team all seem to work together smoothly and take pride in the experience they deliver. Even on a busy night, with spring break crowds and daylight saving time throwing schedules off, the service remained attentive, and the food came out exactly right. If you're looking for a reliable steakhouse in Beaumont with excellent steaks, a strong bourbon selection, and top-notch service, J Wilson's is hard to beat. Five stars. Always a great experience.
