Update from only a few days ago! This time, it was the full-on Daddio's experience. My entire family of three sat down and ate. Celebrating my 29th (again) birthday. The Hunny agrees that it felt like she was back on Pacific Garden Mall in Santa Cruz. We placed our order, sat at a table . . . and the girl begged us to move because she was getting freaked out by the picture of the Coneheads. We both laughed when the Hunny sang along to Barry Manilow. I had the same thing I got in Port Arthur: the Big Daddy. The Hunny had the Buffalo Burger, and the girl had a regular cheeseburger. (She's almost 18, but still doesn't eat as much as dear old dad.) They were all impressed. The Hunny couldn't tell much difference between a buffalo patty and a beef patty; she still loved her burger, though. Strong beefy taste with the pepperjack cheese, toasted bun. Once again, I loaded my fries with the Cajun seasoning. The L family agrees: Daddio's is a great addition to the Coonie Triangle foodie scene. Great spot that the locals will pack at lunch time. Smaller inside seating area about 10-12 tables but worth giving a try. You order at the front and then they call your number. Service was quick and the food was hot. I got the double burger with bacon and jalapeños with cheese and it was a great choice. Big fan of a lot of burger and a little bread. This is a quaint old fashion burger place with very friendly welcoming staff. A variety of burgers to choose from as well as buns. We are here for the first time after our usual spot closed early for the night. They have gluten free hamburger buns and I was impressed that the person taking our order at the counter asked if it was allergy or preference and even knew to tell me the fries weren't gluten free safe. I ordered a double hamburger with grilled onions and bacon jam. The meat was much bigger than I anticipated lol. A single would've been plenty! Seems to be an Udi's bun. My husband got the bacon jam burger and added mushrooms. They were very generous with toppings. He enjoyed it. I decided to give Daddio's Burger a try but was disappointed in some of the elements of my meal. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and was disappointed that there were only two small, narrow pieces of bacon, the cheese was not melted, and the burger patty was underseasoned, dry and reminiscent of a overly compacted, pre-formed burger you would find at the grocery store. The Challah bun was the saving grace. While the Parmesan truffle fries were tasty and the portion size was generous, they were undercooked and limp with zero color on them. read more

I love the Avocado Burger, the meat is plentiful as well as the avocado. It has a unique taste I don't if it has some type of special sauce but I love it. The burger is big as well. The. bun is nice not hard or flaky. The restaurant serves sweet potatoes fries and regular fries both are good. I've had some sweet potatoe fries from other places but I didn't like them but these sweet potatoe fries were tasty. I love that the food is cooked nice and fresh and served hot. Terrible experience at this location. The young lady at the window seemed uninterested and unprofessional. When I greeted her, she didn't respond. I explained that a simple greeting would've been courteous. I asked for a menu as being a first time customer to see what I would like and order multiple orders for my team. She handed the menu and asked did I need time. Her tone of voice and action I rather not, but instead of trying to see what was the issue she closed the window and as she was closing it I read her lips and she said the B..ch word. Yes I dropped the menu because I will not tolerate or patronize anyone or anything with poor services. After asking to speak to a manager, she immediately said I'm the manager in a not polite tone. As a manager she didn't address my concerns. She might benefit from a more optimistic outlook. Pleasant attitude might take her a farther in life. A positive attitude can lead to greater success and opportunities. A different staff member eventually provided a contact card. As she stood on her cellphone to allow him that I would be calling. Unfortunately, the poor service and unprofessional attitude left a lasting impression. It's very disappointing to see a restaurant manager lacking leadership skills. Effective management is crucial in the service industry, and it's unfortunate when someone in that role falls short. She can definitely benefit from leadership training. I had a bunless goat cheese burger with a side of bacon jam. So delicious! Bacon was crispy, jam was flavorful, chipotle sauce perfectly spiced and the patty covered in goat cheese still the star! The hotdog menu is vast, with ten varieties to choose from, so I had a difficult time. Each hotdog they offered sounded so delicious. I included a menu in my pics. I chose two hot dogs with seasoned waffled fries. I ordered the Chicago Dog with tomato, pickles, grilled onions, mustard, and pepperoncino. My other hotdog was custom-made with chili, grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, and cheese. Both were ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!! The all-beef franks, toasted buns, grilled onions and great-tasting chili put these hotdogs in my top two. Whichever one you order I'm sure will be a winner. Solid burgers. Had the green chili burger, was very good for a specialty burger. Wife had bacon cheese burger I had a quarter of it. It was good also. The pickles were thick cut fresh pickles and they really were nice. The fries are fresh cut and ok. I ordered a small fries with cheese, it was ok but it was just shredded cheese melted on the fries so nothing spectacular. Place had a nice vibe and the employees were extra friendly and helpful. First trip here. Nice little diner feel to the place. Lots of great variety on the menu. I got the diablo burger with cheese fries. Excellent burger. Great flavor and texture. The bun was delicious. The cheese fries could have used a bit more cheese, but no complaints. My wife had the mushroom Swiss burger (without a bun) and loved. It needed a bit of salt, but that's easy. She had sweet potato fries and ate every bite. We will definitely be back Another great trip to Daddio's. I try to try something new each trip... this time the bacon cheese burger with jalapeño cheese bun...and again, perfect.
