This establishment is located downtown with ease of parking. We parked right next to the restaurant. We had to wait about 30 minutes to get a table, but the bar was open with a full service bar, so I'd recommend getting reservations if you're going on the weekend. The restaurant is very nice on the inside and there's plenty of seating. We had a romantic curved booth facing the other tables that were centered in the middle of the restaurant. The food was surprisingly tasty, but the sides were so good that I would have been satisfied just eating the sides--they were extremely delicious. The waitstaff did a great job and was attentive. We came here on Yelp advice. The place has nice decor. They have a large fish tank with a turtle I liked. I had the southern salad it was decent if you like fried chicken tenders on your salad. My husband had the pork chop and he really liked it. There was a large birthday party in there and the folks were loud with kids running around so it was a little loud and unsettling. Downtown Beaumont/Museum District. Very walkable. Has plenty of parking across from the venue. The building is very well kept. The maître D.opens the door for you to enter. We were seating promptly but we did arrive around 4:30pm on a Thursday. We started off with the bang, bang shrimp. Phenomenal! They serve dinner rolls with butter, which were hot soft and very good. Sidenote, I could've stuffed the coleslaw and the bang bang chicken in it and had a mini slider. Would've been awesome. There were three of, we all had something different (see pictures) everything was cooked order. Everyone agreed we would be back. The dining room was well kept the ambience was perfect. The fish tank with the turtle in. It was so cool to watch while you ate and talked. It never got really crowded but again we were on a Thursday. You could go in any attire so don't feel like you have to be dressed up. Although this is a great date night. People came in scrubs business attire casual. Our waitress, I believe her name was Jacey. I gave this a good instead of a great because, although the food was good, the atmosphere is relaxing, the day I went something was wrong with the staff. The kitchen was sending food out a plate at a time, I didn't get my drink until after the food was served and the poor waiters were obviously having a hard time with kitchen and bar. On a visit to Beaumont to see my 88 year old Aunt, we decided to eat lunch at Riverside Grille! Our server was Trent. The location is so elegant (while at lunch - I can see this being an amazing dinner location too -). We ordered a glass of the pinot grigio and an appetizer order of bang bang shrimp. they served two cloud like bread rolls. The appetizer was fantastic so instead of ordering an entree and splitting it - we ordered ANOTHER BANG BANG SHRIMP! My aunt loved the meal AND we loved our server. Ambiance is nice but can be casual. We sat in a half circle booth which was comfortable and appreciated the high back. Service was prompt. Brought out fresh rolls pre meal and checked on drink requestsFluffy and light yeast rolls. The espresso martini was as advertised, the old fashioned was ok. The fried seafood platter and meatloaf was the order. Fish fried to perfection and the H commented on liking the baked beans (side)...it tastes like had BBQ sauce in it, slight but could taste in the background. The meatloaf was very tender and topped with a chunky tomato onion (creole like vibe) sauce. Nice chunks of veg. The side of mushroom was enjoyed. Food portions just right. Again , attentive and polite service without being intrusive (good job Kayden). Kitchen was represented by one of the 'chefs' coming out to check on the meal (gave name only as Cooky'). Saw the deviled eggs go by, looked good, filled high, looked to be 4 halves). Chocolate fudge cake, vanilla milk shake dessert: the fudge cake had a decent flavor but was dry and the milkshake a whipped cream monstrosity...not a milkshake. The salmon was grilled to perfection--with a beautifully crispy exterior and moist, tender interior that elevated the entire dish. April 18, 2024 @ 830pm Went to botanical garden in Orange and wanted to eat here for dinner. Nice looking place inside. Very nice staff. We sat at the bar. We had a cocktail...mine was an espresso martini ---really good. My niece had the river runner. Everything was great. The bartender dude was very nice. We shared the deviled eggs [4] with brisket on top and the alfredo spinach dip... both really good. Being in DT Beaumont... in the Crockett Street area... can be a hit or miss... mostly misses in the last few decades. So, i honestly hope you last Riverside because you've got what it takes! Truly. This is a great place and wonderful experience. I've been twice and very enjoyable both times. Bartender is friendly and made the drink of my request, something off menu. Alfredo spinach dip is ok. I hate eating alone especially when I pay full price and they royally mess up my meal. The ambiance is 5 stars and the bathroom was very clean. The service was just okay and I felt she was recommending the most expensive menu items. I initially wanted the spare ribs but she talked me into the filet mignon. My date was also talked into a different dish. I ordered the steak medium, not medium well or medium rare. I was delivered medium rare. The succotash wasn't all that and mostly corn, The manager came to our table and told us they would get it right. 10 minutes later, still mostly medium rare. I refused a third try and ordered the spare ribs, which were delicious. My dates redfish was just okay she wasn't thrilled by the flavor. The date went poorly before she ate her entire meal before I got mine. She watched me eat which made our first time experience disappointing. read more

Amazing. I had the chance to try Riverside Grille that recently opened in Downtown Beaumont and overall had an excellent experience. I was able to easily reserve online the night before for table of 2 and when we arrived we were promptly seated. The restaurant has an excellent aesthetic that provides a fresh modern take amongst the historic downtown. I decided to try the spinach dip for appetizer that also comes with salsa. This was excellent and I appreciate that the chips were fresh and not overly salty. The salsa was also tasty and was warm and fresh. For the main course I went with the Madeira chicken which is a dish that blended very well together between the bed of mashed potatoes and the tender chicken cutlet topped with cheese and the Madeira sauce. I was very satisfied with this dish and also enjoyed my side dish of Au Gratin potatoes. Overall the ambiance, the service, and the experience was excellent. I am so happy to see Riverside Grille in Beaumont and I can't wait to see how they will develop in the future. There is something for everyone as the menu features seafood, chicken, burgers, and many other dishes to accommodate everyone. Note: There is plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant and street parking on the sides of the restaurant. The restaurant was quite packed when my party and I arrived, but I had already made a reservation for 8 beforehand and so happy I did ! The atmosphere was welcoming right off the bat as I checked in and then was quickly sat at the table, we were all offered water and bread while reviewing the menu. Lacie was our waitress and was spectacular ! Very kind and attentive to our needs and made sure we weren't without at any point. Food wise my party ordered all over the menu from Salmon, a salad, meatloaf to chicken tenders for my niece. We all enjoyed our food-bursting with flavor, piping hot and we enjoyed our plates. Several of us ordered cocktails (Mojitos) and thought they were spot on as well. I just can't say enough about this place and how it won't be my last time coming back because I had already eyed about 3 different menu items before choosing my top pick lol. This was my second time dining at RG. First time was actually very good. This time, not so much. I travel from Houston to Lake Charles regularly and was excited about finding this spot in downtown Beaumont. While traveling this evening, hadn't had dinner and remembered this place. It is just a few minutes off IH10- conveniently located in a cool area (Crocket St), that has been revitalized. RG is a beautifully done restaurant, that reminds me more of Houston restaurants, than anything I've ever seen in Beaumont (I lived and worked for many years there). Definitely, a nice, "date-night" kind of place. Service was good, I take issue with the food this time. It was an "off menu" item that was being tested...server really sold it. It was Asian rice dish, with ribeye steak and bang/bang shrimp sauce. The steak came out very rare, they did not ask my preference of temperature before hand. I asked to have it cooked longer, and they obliged. Steak was ok-the rest of the dish was an over-sauced, soggy mess of mostly unrecognizable, slimy vegetables. Normally, a good rice will redeem a dish, but this didn't even have that going for it. My server never asked if I liked it, but another did. I think she was curious about the dish, and stated that she had not seen it. I was pretty honest with her and she seemed to genuinely care. She was going to share my feedback and let me know what was said. Never saw her again. In her defense, I needed to get back on the road, so I settled up quickly and left. Don't know if this will keep me from going back, but does remind me to ask lots of questions and maybe stick to safer choices. If this menu item is truly being tested for the regular menu...it does need some adjustments before it would be a dish that would match the ambience and quality of this restaurant. H read more

Today for Father's Day my stepson decided to take all of us to dinner. Riverside grill was the perfect place to go in downtown located 290 Crockett Street Beaumont Tx. We've been there before and couldn't wait to go back. There was a nice crowd and our server Sierra S was awesome. She mentioned that she was new but she did a great job. They started with those delicious rolls. Yumm. Finally we decided to start with an appetizer and went with the brisket sliders which were so delicious. For our main course my husband ordered the cheese burger with fries. The burger was huge and you get a nice portion of fries. My son decided on the Bacon cheeseburger with fries. My father in law decided to order the fried catfish and shrimp with fries which he loved and I decided to get the Catfish Atchafalaya that consisted of pan seared Mississippi catfish lightly blackened with sauteed shrimp in a Parmesan cream sauce served over rice with mac n cheese. Everything was wonderful and we really enjoyed our dinner and our service. By the time we left the place was filling up. We will definitely be back soon read more

We found this place and were skeptical - there wasn't much (anything!?) open around it and the building across the street is boarded up - but it was great. It's classy, has a full bar, not overpriced, and exceptional service. Food was good (salad overdressed but hey no biggie) our waiter was super attentive, there were a handful of larger parties having a leisurely lunch.
