I'm taking the time I don't have to leave this ridiculously long review. I will be reaching out to Lumberton ISD about their students and their terrible staff and I will be going back to Main Event to speak with a manager about clear processes that should have been in place and recognize the bar employee. I'm unfortunately a quality manager so I wanted to cry seeing this business so clearly unprepared for the students. Their management it terrible. Thurs, 05/14/2026, I chaperoned my three daughters who went to Main Event for their participation in band and for top AR points for the school year. We were there for five hours and the experience was terrible. This was mainly due to Lumberton chaperones sitting at the bar while their students TERRORIZED the facility the entire time. There was bare minimum staffing when over 100 Lumberton students & over 100 Port Arthur students were present. Laser Tag Upon entering our schedule for my group had us at laser tag. A Lumberton group was already playing. There was ONE Lumberton kid at the door, two Lakeview Elementary groups ahead of us and two Lucian Adams groups, mine included. Lumberton kids proceeded to cut the line and take all guns once the initial group inside finished. Port Arthur moms were shocked and let it happen. A Lumberton adult entered with just enough time to get his gun and join them though. He was also the ONLY Lumberton employee/parent we saw for two hours. We assumed he was alone by himself with 100+ kids. Main Event employee was completely dissociated, unaware, and unhelpful. No structure or organization was set up for him to handle that many kids. Port Arthur moms(3) had to organize the lines, and put up the VIP door strip to keep the new set of Lumberton kids that joined from cutting the line. As the two PA schools let their kids go, the other kids proceeded to push and shove and nearly break the glass enclosure. Food Service Two lines, one to order, one for ice cream. Older lady barely knew how to handle the register or the 50 kids in line. I sat in line for an hour as Lumberton kids continued cutting in groups. I skipped to the front of the line and let the lady know all the kids were cutting and proceeded to call on the Lumberton kids who were in line before me to allow them to go, made other kids get behind me then waited 35 minutes for an order of fries, chicken strips and 3 ice creams. The worker had no structure for the influx of customers in her line. No clear signage for the other 50 kids in the ice cream line who HADN'T paid and were only made aware when they got to the from to order their ice cream. 30 minutes waiting on ice cream because of that. No adult supervision from Lumberton to make that situation better/efficient. I had two sweet Lumberton girls apologize for her unsupervised classmates behavior. That was the only courtesy we received from the kiddos. Pushing & shoving in every area of the facility, no excuse mes. No manners at all. Bowling Our band teacher paid for Lucian Adams to have the VIP room but was shocked to see a Beaumont family was set up. This was an outside family not a Lumberton or Port Arthur students/teacher. He spoke to staff and we were only allowed two of our lanes and lounge area. It was awkward as they starred at us and we starred at them, all lost on the issue. The family tells us they came to bowl for a graduation celebration for their cute pre-K kid and the Lumberton kids took over every single public bowling lane available. There were 15-20 lanes. Keep in mind, ME was still open to the public and had two PAISD schools present! To rectify the issue, ME event gave them our VIP lanes, forgetting we had them paid and booked. They proceeded to apologize to us for the inconvenience which was not necessary because it was not their fault at all. Once we left they thanked us for our kids amazing behavior and held us at the door talking about how terrible the Lumberton kids were for 5 minutes. Bar The only good service we received was the young man at the bar. White(I assume) , small build, with teal/blue/purple hair maybe?? I don't remember his name but HE NEEDS A RAISE. We had semi long waits because it was so busy and all the PA moms and teachers finally took a break from watching our kiddos AND LUMBERTON'S so he was slammed. He was so helpful and courteous. He forgot things because of how busy he was but we never had to remind him. He'd eventually remember, apologize and get the item. I ate a huge double cheeseburger and fries and almost choked and died of thirst. Did I interrupt that sweet man's work? No sir I did not. He saw my empty plate, apologized and ran to get that drink. We were so happy to all tip him for his hard work. read more

The staff is always great, but their food is always... wrong. Usually very wrong. Visit 1: We got the brussel sprouts and they were near raw. Visit 2: I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, got no bacon. Wife got a grilled chicken sandwich, got no guac, no bacon, and very little sauce. Both of these entrees came with fries and the wife got visibly shortchanged there too. I'm writing this review as we sit at the McDonald's driveway so she can actually get something to fill her up for the night. They'll do their best to make it right, but just don't bother. If it doesn't come straight out of the fryer it's going to be messed up. Play the games, drink the expensive beer, but eat somewhere else. So far they haven't screwed up nachos, so there's that. read more

I went to Main Event to play pool, but I was having a really rough day. This employee named Arturo noticed I wasn't doing well and took the time to talk with me. He helped me clear my head and reminded me things can get better. It honestly turned my whole day around. Later that week he invited me to go play pool and changed my life around. Came to Main Event in Beaumont Texas, and it was underwhelming. I purchased gift receipts for all you can play bowling, laser tag, and 1 hours of free play (which you cannot get any points to exchange in the shop, which kinda sucks.) The staff is unattentive and not trained. I found myself walking around to get anyone's attention. First we wanted to order food and I had to track someone down to ask how and where to order the food. (When you're bowling they want you to go to the bar and order it. For anyone who is new to this place) When our time expired on our lane, again I had to walk around to find anyone to add time. The woman who came in at shift change doesn't want a job. I understand customer service jobs are horrible, I've been there done that. But the attitude needs to go. Stay at home if you want to play on your phone. The food was good, but definitely not worth the price. Definitely recommend going to Yuka or sushi masa and filling up before coming to play here. Or even just going to Tilt Beaumont Mall. The only thing saving this trip are the few positive people. Shout out to the bar, the young woman in the laser tag area, and the one young woman right when you walk in at the candy store. read more

Good Food, Nice People, But Asked For Lemonade never got it because cups were empty at 1st section, then next section there was some cups, but someone just stole one from me and nobody did anything about it when they saw, so it was basically a scam when the kids made fun of me when they did, they MADE ME THIRSTY. 1 hour time card, got no tickets when I got a bunch from one game. Bowling, which was good. Laser Tag, also good. This was for a field trip, but it was fun. So, I would just give it a 2.9-3.6. Floors are mid, but cool. Great stuff you got though. How can I give them less than a star? These people don't even train their employees properly. They aren't knowledgeable about their own promotions. I got told I could only go online to purchase summer passes and even the lower cost one covered everything except arcade. That was wrong. Then they couldn't refund me because I did it online when all along I could have done it at the actual place. Then I get roped into paying for the higher tier. I was told they would get me a number for corporate and even told the district manager was there that day and would help me. They did nothing. I can't get ahold of anyone. Lies after lies. They are running a scam and I will never be back. read more

This place looks like a lot of fun however, went to the bar to get a drink and was completely ignores. The girl working was too busy texting on her phone to even acknowledge us. When she finished texting she just walked off without so much of acknowledging our existence. So we left and took our business elsewhere. read more

This is an amazing place! They have specials to reduce cost like Monday night. It's a very entertaining spot! Laser tag, arcade, bowling, billiards, and food! We split a 20$ supreme pizza and our waitress Destiny was great! She helped us get to our movie on time. A place like this would usually be found in a bigger city like Houston or Dallas. You rent bowling for a certain amount per hour. This is the same for billiards. Please check out the special discount days on the website to make it more affordable. A nice edition to Beaumont. We went to the theater after. The discount day for this place is Monday and the discount day for the Cinemark theater across the highway is Tuesday. It would be helpful if both places had the same discount day. read more

Food is ok but you don't go for food you go for games. The employees are superb. And the place is decently clean.

I have to admit. This is by far the cleanest, most friendliest ME I have ever taken my kids to. I love the service and the variety they had here. The staff was super helpful and very knowledgeable. Good and drinks were great. Prizes are good too. Will definitely be back. read more

We decided to take the family to the Main Event for a night of fun. With the two exceptions the night was a total goat rodeo. There was a 1.5 hour wait for a table to eat at, an 1.5 hour wait for bowling. The bowling turned into a 3 hour wait because they canceled our reservation. Once we did get 1 Lane (we paid for 2) we had one hour to bowl. We waited 30 minutes for a waitress. Vivian finally came and asked if we were ok, I explained the issues and she took charge and really displayed excellent customer service. (Ask for Vivian) The arcade was a Great time with the grandkids. This establishment is Getting a 2 rating. Vivian gets a 5 rating. Beaumont needed this type of venue....., this venue need more staff, food served hot and a much better bar staff. read more

when we went to Main Event for a trip our group had the most amazing time. The staff is amazing, really nice. My favorite part was when we got to play laser tag with Robert. My favorite staff member he was the person that was working our party, Robert was so nice to us he helped us on everything! The food was amazing just everything was amazing. Watch your vehicles in this parking lot. The employees will break into your car and steal from you. After complaining to management and asking to see security footage of an employee lurking at the dumpster. Management declined and erased the footage which means that inparticular manager is in on the side hustle. We were offered 3 gameplay cards to be used at another location. The venue itself is and could be fun for all ages when it comes to the games. the customer service on the other hand is meh, to say the least, specifically the bar. the games are new, nice, and modern. my friends and i were able to play twister like we were kids again, which was nostalgic. some games that stuck out were their four player mario kart racing section with motion enabled sensors. 2 fast & furious cars. multiple basketball areas to be competitive with friends and family. monopoly. huge pac man screen. typical arcade shooting, racing, and strategy games. cool prizes you can claim after stacking up tickets from the games. a few VR games that are popular. a nice section of bowling and laser tag in the back. the food looked nice. the drink menu sounded good, but unfortunately, while sitting at the bar for over 20 minutes without any acknowledgement of our existence, not even eye contact by a single bartender, we left unsatisfied. honestly, this interaction in the the night ruined the fun vibe we had. i've worked the industry before not too long ago and know what it's like to work long days, double shifts, and all the other things in between. but whenever i saw an opportunity to make money, i shot for it. that's what bartending is. going after the money and talking to your customers. none of this is done. not to knock on their age, but i know younger employees would have been hustling around the bar top to make their shift worth the trouble. but it's beaumont so honestly, i can't say i was surprised. read more
