Brunch goal was achieved today at 5 Under Golf! Wow...the competition to find the best avocado toast in town has officially started, and the version I enjoyed today was a strong contender. From the moment it arrived at the table, I knew I was in for something special. The presentation alone was a winner--beautiful, fresh, and totally Instagram-worthy. The dish starts with two slices of lightly toasted sourdough bread (it must be sourdough)with perfectly crisp edges--fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Honestly, that bread alone sets the stage for a great dish. Then comes the star of the show: creamy, freshly smashed avocado spread generously across the toast. But it doesn't stop there! It's topped with goat cheese crumbles, a sprinkle of spices, crispy bacon, and delicate microgreens, creating a combination of flavors and textures that makes every bite pop. The bacon added a savory touch, although I'll definitely be asking for extra bacon next time...and oh yes, there WILL be a next time. I enjoyed this avocado toast so, so much. The only thing missing for me was a fried egg on top--but the friendly waitress told me while I was paying that I could have added one if I'd asked. Now that's a tip I'll remember for my next visit! All in all, this brunch dish was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. If you're an avocado toast fan, this one deserves a spot on your must-try list. Terrible experience with an unreasonable staff member. Customer service, value and honesty is definitely not a priority. The shame is that the concept is not bad and the food is actually good despite the horrible service and poor management. Disappointing service experience... Should have someone actually managing the place. Went in about 1:40pm and got seated quickly, but nobody showed up to wait on us. Plenty of employees walking around, but apparently we were invisible. At the 10-minute mark I got up, found somebody to ask (after he took his earbuds out...) if anyone was going to wait on us. Off he went to see what happened... A few minutes later, with no apparent progress happening, we just got up and walked out. read more

Such a nice facility, very clean & updated. Staff was friendly but special shout out to our waiter Marcus! He was on it with serving my family & I. Lemon drops were delicious, I ordered the Aloha salad, it was so flavorful & fresh. The New Orleans shrimp was something I've never seen or had anywhere else. Very savory! Been a few times now. The beer is fine, the food is not worth what you pay for it though. Figured I've been there enough and experienced enough of the place to leave a good review now. If I had a choice for food, it would not be here. Went there on Monday for a burger, the patty was cooked into a hockey puck and had no flavor at all. For the price. You'd think they could spare a little salt and pepper. We got a pitcher of beer and it was $24. Yikes. But when you look around at a basically empty dinning room, it becomes clear.....it's expensive and not good. I think we may give it one more shot, but my expectations will be really low. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the place was clean and the server did at least the minimum, but she was prompt. I'd suggest you pass this place by for other venues. read more

I come here frequently and often bring large groups and they're always accommodating of our needs. Zoe was our waitress last night and she brought a heater once she saw a girl was cold. Chloe also assisted us as needed as well. It was a friendly atmosphere and when we couldn't figure out the TV screens, Zoe helped. They also recommended great food items! Okay, so the 4 stars is because they have a great Happy Hour and the cheapest brunch around $1 mimosas (and they use good juice, not crummy kind) they are very generous with the champagne. We have tried many different of the brunch options....the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict would be great (the hollandaise is great and the crab cakes are great) but the egg is not poached. It's got hard yolk. Aside from that, it was good. The BLT WAS GREAT, if I could have changed anything on it, I prefer the green tomato to be pickled, but that's not their claim, I won't fault them on that. The chicken and waffles was disappointing. It's just frozen chicken tenders and a hotel level waffle. Avocado toast...nope. It was like guacamole smeared on a long crouton. We will keep trying because we wanna try the breakfast pizzas but don't expect their brunch to knock your socks off like some of the other local brunches. The service is VERY hit or miss. They start strong and tend to fade away just a quickly. The happy hour apps are great. One last word or warning, ALWAYS check your drink prices. We have been charged regular prices during brunch and during happy hour. They are quick to correct it and I don't think it's intentional, it's provably just an error when they enter the order on the POS system...but be mindful! read more

I ordered the Taylormade burner TP rescue club. I contacted their "chat" room support to question about my order since I had not received a tracking email for my order. At this time I was told my order was being packaged and would be sent later that day. Two days later I contacted their "Chat" room support again where I was informed that Taylormade had sent them fairway woods as opposed to hybrids and my order would not be sent until the beginning of January, 2012. I was on hold with the chat room representative for about 20 minutes as he "looked at my order". I think this jerk nut took a 20 minute break instead. Two days later I decided to call and speak with a human being. I was told that Taylormade did indeed send them the wrong clubs and that "they WERE NOT going to get my club AT ALL". I wish this company lived near me so I could drive my ball into their hole. Needless to say I will never purchase from this company again. I will start by saying this is a great addition to the SETX area. But it's pretty flawed. First it's not very kid friendly. None of the bathrooms have changing tables. And the bottom floor during the day has absolutely no shade. The top floor has sliding garage door type of things that will provide shade but if you're on the bottom floor you are out of luck unless you go during the perfect times. So I'd recommend trying to get a second floor bay. But I have yet to be up there. Also they messed up our reservation the first time we went. Also the service was okay. Idk if we're responsible for restocking our own golf balls but we had to do it ourselves. read more

This is a great addition to the Beaumont area. The main issues were the sun, accommodations, and golf ball restocking. The bottom floor had no shade the time we were there, but the top floor does. There aren't any baby changing stations on the site but the manager allowed us to use the office to change the babies diaper. We had to reload our own golf balls while we were there. read more

Good deals, bad customer service. I ordered an Adidas shirt with a logo on the chest which are hard to find. They sent one without the logo on the chest, maybe not that big of a deal to some but that is what I wanted. I went back and forth via email with Taylor Robichau at taylor@gppgolf.com. He never answered why they sent a shirt without the logo he just kept saying they don't have the shirt with the logo and the pic doesn't show one. But at the time I ordered it, it did. Then Taylor Robichau (taylor@gppgolf.com) started to mock me in the emails and didn't seem to care if they kept me as a customer. Clearly states there "Fast & Secure Shipping with FedEx In stock items should ship same day if ordered before Noon CST" Well, I placed an order on a Tuesday, and come Thursday it still hadn't shown to have been shipped, so I contacted their live customer service chat. The person insisted that they claim 3-14 days to ship. I had to tell him where to go and look and he says, "i see it now under fedex. It says SHOULD, not will. We make every effort to get things out the same day. Sometimes it doesn't work out that way." I tell him they had 2 days so if they "should" be able to get something out same day, surely they can get it out within 2. He asks my order number, looks it up and then tells me they had one pair of the shorts I was ordering, but they couldn't find them and that was why it hadn't shipped. Seriously? I immediately cancelled my order and went elsewhere. Don't waste your time with this place, you can find same items all over the internet, and definitely with better customer service! read more

I love GPP. I bought a set of golf clubs from here several years ago and had great service. I use the range on a regular basis. Their store has a wide selection of reasonably priced merchandise, plus they have a top-notch online store and warehouse. I have friends who live in much larger cities who are jealous they do not have a golf depot like GPP near them. read more

GPPGOLF.com has the worst customer service. They lured me to make a purchase by giving me $10 web credit, which covers only their steep shipping (around $10 even for a hat). I bought a hat and tee pack. Their order confirmation email didn't show I used the web credit and they just canceled tee pack claiming they only charged for the hat. Then... no reply to my email.
