I've been going to Moshi Moshi for over 3 years and I'm always happy with my results when I leave…read morethe salon. I don't have one particular stylist because my haircut is pretty simple. I would say it is on the more expensive side but I only go a few times a year and I'm happy to pay a bit more for quality and to support a local business. I appreciate that they keep notes about what I have asked for in the past and what I like. The location in Golden Belt is a bit tucked away but you can always ask the security guard. The studio itself is small and funky. During COVID it was only one client at a time because the studio is so small and they are still keeping with mask requirements which I appreciate. I would say the only downside is that parking has gotten crazy in Golden Belt with so many new businesses moving in that it can be hard to find a spot especially during lunch time. You might consider grabbing a spot on Morning Glory instead of trying to park in the Golden Belt lot.

I'm leaving a mixed review because while the haircuts were fantastic and I absolutely loved both…read morethe stylists, the administrative side of this salon was a complete headache. I specifically called to book the March Special, even clarifying this with the receptionist on the phone. Despite that, they booked me for regular haircuts and blow-dry instead. The issues only grew from there: * Pricing Discrepancy: The math on my initial $139 invoice didn't add up ($62 + $67 = $129). * Credit Card Error: The computer system showed one price when I paid, but my credit card was actually charged a different, higher amount. * Retrofitting the Math: When I pointed out the $139 total didn't match the $129 in services, I was sent a new invoice that suddenly included tax to justify the original $139. It felt like they were reverse-engineering the total by adding tax after the fact to make the numbers 'work.' I have never had tax added like that on any hair services. The salon offered to honor the special on a future visit, but since I'm from out of town, that doesn't help resolve the current overcharge. It's a shame because the talent in the chair is top-tier, but the lack of transparency and handling of the mishap were very disappointing. If you go for the great stylists, double-check your booking and your bank statement!"

If there was a zero star option I would have given zero star There is no mention of their cancellation policy on the Bebe Ellis website, yet they charged a $100 cancellation fee when my daughter accidentally went to the wrong Aveda salon in Apex due to feeling slightly under the weather. She called Bebe Ellis immediately after realizing the mix-up, yet they refused to show any flexibility with cancellation fees They did offer for her to come in a little later but said she would have to leave with wet hair -- which wasn't a reasonable option considering she wasn't feeling well. I also called the salon to explain the situation and request a waiver of the fee, but they were dismissive and unhelpful. Despite our honest mistake and immediate communication, we were still charged the full amount. This kind of rigid and unsympathetic customer service leaves a very poor impression, and I would not return or recommend them to others. Policies are important, but so is customer care -- and in this case, that was clearly lacking. Will never return back to this salon.

I explained that I was not comfortable having the same stylist again. I was told that, per their "policy," corrections had to be done by the original stylist. I looked up their policy myself, and nowhere does it state that clients are required to use the same stylist for a correction. Refusing to let a client choose a different stylist and claiming it's "policy" when it isn't publicly stated--is not acceptable. Instead of working with me, I was spoken down to and told, "I've worked at many salons, and this is how it usually is." As someone who has been getting blonde highlights for years, I was shocked by both the quality of the work and management's unwillingness to make things right. I won't be returning and highly do not recommend if you are blonde! (I've attached my reference photo and results)

I've been coming to this salon for years and have always been a loyal customer. Unfortunately, my…read morerecent experience was really disappointing. My appointment was marked as a "no-show" because they said it was scheduled 45 minutes earlier than when I arrived. However, I showed the receptionist my confirmation email that clearly listed my appointment time as the time I arrived. She said she didn't know why I received that, but they could take me as a walk-in -- only if I paid full price, meaning my deposit wouldn't count. It's frustrating because if the stylist was available to take me, and I had proof of the appointment time I was given, it feels unfair to lose my deposit over what was clearly a mix-up. I've waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time here before without ever complaining because I understand things happen. But apparently, that same courtesy doesn't go both ways. After years of loyalty and even referring family, I will not be returning.
