I came to this place for the first time because it seemed like a nice relaxing place. I had a horrible experience I got a gel mani done for 30 dollars and it only last ONE day ! I have gotten a gel mani before and it's lasted me almost three weeks. The customer service is horrible. I returned very politely and asked if there was anyway they can at least do a regular mani since the gel fell off. They gave me a terrible attitude and only polished my nails and they looked horrible. DO NOT GO HERE. waste of money , time and horrible customer service. I received terrible service from one technician and it ruined my whole experience with La-Vi. I am considering contesting my card payment to the store because of the treatment. I had acrylic tips applied by one technician. That was fine. She did a good job. However, she left the nail polish application to another technician. The latter technician did such a sloppy job it looked as if I had done it myself, with my left hand (I am right-handed)! When I asked her to remove the polish on my cuticles and outside the nails (there was a lot all over my fingers), she removed the polish from all my nails and left. She didn't say anything. I was made to sit and wait for 20 min (I didn't want to cause a scene) until I finally asked if someone would please paint my nails so I could get out of there. Apparently, I was expected to wait for the technician who had done my tips to finish with her client and then she would apply the polish as well (which would have been another 20 min). As she told me, "you asked the other technician to remove the polish". No I did not. I asked her to remove the polish that was not on my nails! I am so disappointed in this place and will obvious never go back. I think I would have felt better about the experience if someone had apologized, and/or explained to me what was going on. read more

I absolutely love the job that the male owner does on my nails! I use pink gel and it last 3 weeks. To some that may not seem like anything, but I am a registered nurse and wash my hands a million times a day! This is the first salon that has surpassed my expectations. I had an appointment, but I guess that means nothing here. I waited for an HOUR in the pedi bath. I inquired every 20 minutes if someone was going to come do my nails, and I was assured someone was coming soon. It probably would have been longer if I hadn't yelled at them at the one hour mark. If I wasn't going to a wedding the next day, I would have definitely left. Not even one apology was given!! As for quality...... no. Awful. My nails were filed unevenly and both my friend's and my polish had chipped within 48 hours. Their technique is rushed and sloppy. This place is the absolute worst place you can get a pedicure. DONOT waste your time or your money. I went here for a french pedicure. When I walked in they asked me to pick a color and I told them french...when I sat down I asked for callus remover, she told me they ran out of it....so she went about my pedicure, then she told me my manager just brought the gel so I said ok... she started to polish my nails with pink nail polish, I told her what's that... she said it's the only color we have for french... what? Why wouldn't you tell me that beforehand... then I got up to try and find the color myself w no luck... the nail polish all look old... no selection. What kind of nail salon doesn't have french manicure color?!! So I told her I want to pay for the portion she did... she charged me full price! I asked to speak to a manager or owner she tells me there is no manager there, meanwhile she told me her mgr brought the callus remover gel... liar!!! This girl didn't look at me once... she was speaking Spanish and laughing and joking w the other employees the entire time....bad level of service!!!! I Love these people! They always do a fabulous job, never cut me with the machines, are friendly and depending on who you get, also funny. They might be a bit pricey for some people, but you get what you pay for. I also never wait more than 10 minutes no matter how busy they are. read more

This is the worst nail salon experience I have ever had. My nails looked as if a child painted them. The women did not bother to clear the excess polish that was all over my fingers. When I called in to file a complaint the women on the phone responded a "what do you want me to do about it". Completely disrespectful. My nails chipped a few hours after i got them done. This place will ruin your nails. They don't remove gel color properly like other salons would with acetone and foil wrap. Instead they use the machine file for everything and file down your nails to almost nothing. I went for acrylic fill in and the lady filed them down so much that it was painful and when j got them removed I almost had nothing left of my real nail. This place only cares about getting in the most customers, doing things quickly, while being super messy, and yes the people who work here and pretty rude. read more

Place looks brand new and beautiful but my pedicure was awful. The woman barely did any cleaning. I was there for maybe a half hour and she did nothing but soak my feet, wipe my old nail polish off, file my toes, and paint them. If i could give it one star i would. The service was disgusting. My pedicurist's name was Maritza and it was obvious that she did not want to do my feet or work in general. Everyone else was having a good time with their specific clients but Maritza had the straightest face. Then she refused to remove my callus from my feet. And on top of that she said if I wanted it removed I should go to a doctor. I felt humiliated. She didn't even offer the callus remover that they offers for an extra $5! If I could give -5 stars I would. HORRIBLE! I saw the reviews before I came in but thought that some people over exaggerate but believe everything you read about this place. I walked in for a pedicure and they seemed very welcoming so I decided to do it. It's a very nice place but the customer service is worse than horrible. the lady who did my pedicure did NOT know wtf she was doing.. I was literally freezing the entire time the water was FREEEEZING she didn't use hot towels or nothing it was so bad. The massage SUCKED. I asked for gel and she ignored me. She filed them so wrong... They were literally crooked .. Just horrible. I told her multiple times to fix it and she just nodded and wiped a little of the horrific nail polish she had applied. I even asked the lady to do an acrylic on my big toe because it was broken and she was so frikkin rude she literally said no dont do it.. I was like ?? she's like just let it grow.. she didn't say it in a nice way she just looked like she didn't wanna do it and when i told her i wanted it she literally just applied one coat of acrylic and threw the brush after she was done and told the other lady to file it.. Although the women who work here were very courteous and nice, the place is so dirty I couldn't believe my eyes. There was skin and nails everywhere. On the table, on the floor....etc. If I wasn't there with my daughters who were so excited already to get their nails done I would have left. I was so grossed out. I had UV gel nails put in & I love them!! I've never had to wait longer then 10 minutes for either a pedicure or a fill in, even on a Saturday; place is also very clean. I had my eyebrows done recently & loved the way they came out; finally have the arch I always wanted. I highly recommend this place. read more

I have been coming here literally for years and never had a problem until the owners opened up a new salon and haven't been here as frequently. I went in for a gel fill in and the first thing that got to me was the nail tech trying to convince me I needed a new set instead of a fill in. I went to beauty school and graduated with knowledge of how tips/acrylic/gel works and knew she was lying and just trying to up sell me. She caught an attitude and as to spite me only coated my finger nails w/ one coat and added too much gel to my right index finger causing it to burn awfully while curing under the uv light machine. I will not be returning I tipped because I am a hairstylist and don't believe in leaving no tip. I'm very disappointed with the gel manicure I received! read more

first off, this is my first YELP review after over 2 years of being a member. i am that put off by my experience that i am so compelled to share it and warn people of this place. came here on a non-busy weekday as a walk-in for a gel manicure and a pedicure. would NEVER go back again. i paid $60 BEFORE tip which is $10 more than i usually pay at salons with much better quality of customer service and quality of work. PRO: they have the largest selection of gel polish colors i've ever seen. OPI, CND shellac, gelish GRIPES 1. i had gel polish on. i have never been charged for removal of polish as long i'm getting another gel. but they charge $5 for removal even if you get another gel mani. and $10 for removal if you're just getting a regular mani. and, unlike all previous times i have ever had gel manicures removed, instead of putting an acetone soaked cotton ball on your fingernail and wrapping each individual nail in foil - they give you ONE small bowl of acetone and tell you to soak BOTH your hands there. they put the bowl in my lap as I was getting a pedi. I had to turn off the massage chair so that it wouldn't spill. I asked if I could have two bowls so I could soak each hand on either side of me and the lady scoffed at me and said no! I did not want the acetone to spill on my pants so instead i placed the bowl to the tray to my side and uncomfortably sat with both hands to the side of me soaking in the acetone for the duration of my pedicure. By the time I removed them, my fingers were completely dry and stiff from the acetone soak! They charge for that??? 2. Water was not even lukewarm during my pedicure. And the whole pedicure experience, barring the fact that i had to sit with my body twisted to soak both my hands in the alcohol to the side of me, was underwhelming and the worst I had. My toenails are crooked and the "massage" was lame. On top of that, the lady was rude. 3. When I got up from the pedicure, she just pointed to tell me which desk to sit at. I had shopping bags, my purse, and my shoes. She did not assist me with ANY of these. I made two trips back and forth to gather my stuff while she watched on. 4. The same lady who did my pedi started with my nails and filed them crookedly. Then was reassigned to do a pedi so another nail technician came to start my gel nails. He was nice. I had no complaints except that between coats he would get up and attending to other people. By the last coat, yet ANOTHER nail technician attended to me to finish off my gel manicure. That's THREE technicians to do a gel manicure. And a lot of downtime in between. Despite having a horrible experience. I still gave a tip... to THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE. I really like this place but I have a few bones to pick. I go here to get my nails done occasionally because it's convenient and fast. There are a lot of nail techs and even though it's usually very busy they are able to sit you down quite quickly. I usually do acrylics or UV gels and they come out quite nicely and are incredibly long lasting. The prices are also great and you get what you pay for. However, I've been to this place on a Monday morning when they are just opening after the weekend and closed Sunday, and on several occasions it's been quite a mess. I wouldn't get a pedicure there because on a Monday they are still cleaning up wet dirty towels from Saturday night that are prone to mildew and pouring bleach in the pedicure tubs and wiping down the stations. I understand it's a nail salon that's very busy and open late hours but to me cleanliness and sterilization in a salon is extremely important and you are putting clients in danger of contracting diseases. Another thing is they are nice and friendly but I feel like it's a little too rushed. Usually when your nails are drying at most salons I've been at they'll give you a back or neck massage and they don't do that at LaVi. Even on days like a Monday or Tuesday morning when it's basically empty the customer service is not up to par. All in all, this is a great salon that you can be in and out of with a mani pedi that looks great in less than an hour. If you are seeking a luxurious experience where you want to sit back and relax while being pampered, then this is NOT the place. read more

If I could give zero I would. I would like to first say that I never leave review whether my experience was horrible or amazing. But my experience was so bad I went through the trouble of making a whole account just for this. FIRST I got there and they sat me and my mom at the pedicure station. We were getting both manicure and pedicure. Then the man made me get out and sit at a manicure station. They had us waiting for about 20 minutes when they tell us that they could do one. We just walked out. They could have to us they did not have time instead of making us waste our time. I use to think it was nice and wanted to continue going but after that, I will never even consider that place. read more

For a pricey upscale salon, this place is not even all that. I got a manicure and pedicure here less than a year ago and it was just OK. The receptionist was very nice and got me seated as soon as i walked in. I've been to cheaper places that do a way better job, for example giving better calf massages and working at a slower & careful pace. The paint job was pretty good though. read more

I have tried giving this place a chance. After I went in to get a few of my nails back on they told me it would be more cost-effective if I got a brand-new set which I completely agreed. However... Instead of soaking off the nails this nail technician took a nail cutter and pulled every single nail off of my finger to the point where I screamed and everybody was staring at me. The second time I went I had somebody different and ladies to tell if your nails were done properly they are supposed to be flat when you put them straight out my middle finger nail stood almost straight up to the ceiling when I complained they told me that my finger was doing that. I had to ask for acrylic to be filed off from under my nails, got them done last night 2 have already broken gel lifted and crack at top. I have a thick nail where she broke the tip before putting acrylic on and couldnt be bothered to do a new one so just filled it in with acrylic shame as the place is nice but need better people working there that actually know how to do tips i shouldnt have to look at the un even ness and thickness of tips. Absolutely WORST SERVICE EVER. SO UNPROFESSIONAL !!! NEVER go here ! I asked the lady how long of a wait for acrylics, she says "I take you now". So I sit down and she starts gluing on the nails. I tell her one of them is crooked and one is too short. She says oh ill fix it later. All of a sudden she says "Oh you know what, I CANT take you no more. You have to wait. I have "appointment". I stood there in absolute disbelief. She JUST finished gluing on my nails! Now she tells me she cant do them ?! I then tell her..."You told me you could take me now. There was no wait." She replies with, "Oh well". Absolutely DISGUSTED. SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL FOR NO REASON ! She tells me, "If you want to leave, you can leave then, I take off nails". Does not tell someone else to finish them for me. Just starts ripping my nails off. It seems she cant take criticism at all. Well Im not going to pay for something to look nasty, crooked and uneven. In the end Im glad I left. God knows how atrocious my nails would have ended up. LADIES save yourself the time and frustration. OMG Where do I begin, I started coming here about 2 years ago and would make occasional stops in between for acrylics. First long "stiletto" styled nail I got was beautiful, THEN. I went for a fill. About a week late I broke my nail and came in for a fix. After it was finished I took a look at my ring finger and saw that my nail was literally pointing upwards towards the sky and no going straight along with my finger. I asked the Lady to fix it and she pretended she couldn't speak english. I tried it one more time after I had a bad run in and had 5 broken nails, Instead of soaking them in acetone this lady RIPPED OFF MY NAILS ONE BY ONE WITH A NAIL CLIPPER. Unbeknownst to me I thought this was the proper way "Even though I was screaming in pain, I was told never to come back here again after they did that to me. Beware Ladies and Gents and do not EVER get any tips of nail acrylics/Gel set here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Unless you don't mind paying $80 for a fill in and 30 more for a pedicure that takes about 5-10 mins. The woman who did my nails tried to convince me to get a new set put on when I just got a new set a month ago. I said no, but she proceeded to rip off all my nails anyway. She told me to get the gel because it "wasn't much different in price." So I said, fine. When it was time to pay the woman asked how much for my nails and she said "80" the woman checking me out asked her three times "you are saying eight zero?!" And she said yes. I said "you told me there wasn't much difference in price! I never paid $80 for my nails IN MY LIFE!" And she proceeded for attempt to break down the prices for me but I wasn't able to even understand her because she barely spoke English. Turns out the price difference between a full set of what I normally get and what she convince me to get was from $55 to $75... A $20 difference! I was so angry I almost cried!! I have been getting my nails done since I was 15 years old and never have I EVER paid that much money for a fill in my life. I will NEVER go back there!
