I'm on the fence with this one...though the eye tech, Chelsea, whom administered my waxing was very nice. I can't say she did anything over the top that the indian gals who thread my eyebrows have done. It had been over a decade since I used wax on my eyebrows, and this one was oil based and gentle on my skin - no soreness, redness or irritation afterwards. They were nicely shaped, but my expectation bar was set very high, since it is Anastasia (pronounced ah-nah-STAH-see-yah)and all. I think I'd return but only if it was last minute, and I felt like splurging $30- $35 on just my eyebrows, and which takes only 15 mins at max. read more

Just wanted to update this situation. I wrote negative reviews everywhere I could until someone from corporate finally contacted me. His solution was for me to come in and get them done again for free... as if I would ever go back there and if I did, it would be a year before my eyebrows would be back to normal to have them done again. So, I obviously refused that. He explained that Anastasia herself even uses the stencils and that is the training. Which is oddly very different from what I can see on the brand's Instagram page, where many women have thicker brows. I asked if Cara Delevigne were to walk in, would she also be a stencil 4? No. And I don't think Anastasia would do that to her. I forgot to mention in my earlier review that Maria completed my appointment by telling me a story about a time when someone destroyed her brows so badly that they never grew back. Really helped me feel better... After telling the rep from corporate this, he sent me a care package to help me out including a brow regrowth serum as well as a full size pencil and a few little samples. Extremely nice of him and luckily the serum has significantly helped I think. One brow is coming back much faster than the other, but hopefully that one fills back out. read more

I did my brows here for the first time. I LOVE them. I have very thin/light brows, and I let them grow in as much as they would for 3 months. I didn't have an appointment but I was seen quickly. I was waxed perfectly, the technician asked if I wanted to fill them in with powder, I agreed and loved it. I wanted to buy products immediately to repeat this fabulous look, but the tech explained the low maintenance and fool proof pencil was a great start. She was right! I will return! read more

Great place usually I don't personally get anything there but all the girls of my family do and usually have great service went with my friend and the rude unfriendly manager in front of us today looked at me and said that I wasn't allowed in the back room and continued to give me nasty looks the whole time and I'm still getting the looks right now while I'm writing this. The esthetician thinned our my brows even though I was extremely adamant that I didn't want them to touch the height. She did anyway. I told her many times and she explained that she understood. They look bad and brows can be tough to grow back and such. Please just do your brows yourself or go to someone you specifically get referred to. I would really recommend you don't go here. I told the stylist I didn't like the idea of my skin above brows were to be waxed as I never had it done today. She told me it was necessary, part of the treatment. Soon after, the area above my brows were red and small pimples. Felt like I had a burn. Overall, the shape they give you is very professional and good, but all that credit goes directly to Anastasia herself. There's a girl who works there- her name is Chelsea, she did my eyebrows for 4 years. I came in once and had to make an appointment with someone else because she was "unavailable" and when I came in she told me she was too busy and when I looked into her room, she was busy plucking her own eyebrows. It shows how unprofessional and rude she is, especially that I have been a client for very long. This place is horrible. I been there two time due to the fact that I haven't been able to get them done in LA because I haven't been traveling as much to the original site! I only recall the names of one of the girls that did my eyebrows because it was only a few days ago! Her name was Cynthia! And I hope she reads this shit!!. I rarely get my eyebrows done because I don't let anyone touch my eyebrows except kelly baker brows in LA or Anastasia Beverly Hills also in LA. & this brow bar needs to get shut down until they bring some actual experts. I love my thick eyebrows and they made it thin! They don't understand how long it took me to get my eyebrows to the point that they were and how much help I got from the Actual Anastasia Beverly Hills and here they come and mess up all the progress! I was very optimistic about coming here to see Janette based on her splendid reviews, but she was overly aggressive with in her promotion of Anastasia who she made out to be a Greek goddess. She was not gentle at all. There was no consultation; she didn't even as much ask me how I like my brows. She just starting plucking. She even nicked me and it hurt and she did not apologize. I had been coming to Anastasia for sometime. Every time the woman doing my brows did them above and beyond. Though, the management and woman at the front desk were easily the rudest, unfriendly people I have ever come in contact with. Not only has her lack of professionalism and rude demeanor sent me to a different salon, it has sent many people I know to different salons. For someone who works in a customer service industry, she doesn't know the first thing about it. if you're gonna go, avoid the lady at the front at all costs. She'll ruin the entire experience. I have been going to Anastasia's about 2 years now. I go on and off maybe every 3-4 months. I maintain my eyebrows and when I am in need of a clean up I go to Anastasia (one of my friends recommended this eyebrow studio). My very first visit was with Chelsea whom my friend recommended she did a great job but I did not care for her attitude. She seemed very distracted over how her cellphone was dying and that it was so horrible. She also said not to touch my eyebrows until my next visit. I just did not care for her too much. My next appointment I made with Amy and she is absolutely WONDERFUL!!! She is so down to earth and very professional. I felt like I could talk to her and she said that if there are stray hairs that I could touch my eyebrows. I have seen Amy several times and she takes her time. I give her 6 STARS, the reason I gave 2 stars was not because of Amy but because of Chelsea and another person I saw. Secondly, I left two messages one on a Saturday and then one on a Monday and never received a call back. I called again on Monday and got someone on the phone and made an appointment and tried to make it with Amy but she was on vacation. I was then called back a couple of days later and was told I was double booked and that if I could come in a little later with Cynthia which was okay. I honestly wanted Amy but really needed my eyebrows done. I had my brows done and afterwards noticed that one part was not properly shaped. I then went back an hour later waited for Cynthia but she did not return from her lunch break. I could no longer wait and needed to leave. I felt that Cynthia rushed and didn't take the time that Amy usually takes. I didn't notice the error when I looked in the mirror instantly. I do not go to Garden State often just to get my brows down so it is not like I could have returned later on. Very disappointed and thought it would have been corrected for the price that was paid to get them done. I am hoping that Amy was in fact on vacation and that next time I can have Amy do my brows. Maybe next time I can give this brow studio more stars after my next appointment. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! The technician ruined my eyebrows. Uneven and she cut the hair so short and then said that she would like to fill them in.
