    Dining area

Huge play area with tunnels, slides, rock walls, obstacles, trampolines and foam pits. Lots of things to do for kids of all ages, although can be nerve wracking if you can't find your child for a while. Can be on the pricier side if you have a bigger family. Standard food/snack options of pizza, fries, chicken tenders, etc. although we waited about 25 minutes for our number to be called and never heard it. When I went up to the counter to inquire they said they had called for us already - understandable, the dining area is large and loud. However when I went back up to the counter a minute later to ask for extra ranch I overheard the staff making fun of my situation. Nice

Found this location on Yelp and did see the reviews but I always like to try out locations myself before I see the reviews. The toddler area was amazing and very clean. The whole location was very clean as well. They have a huge jungle gym area for older kids and jumping trampolines as well. Can't wait to go back.

Truly 3.5 so rounding up here. I've visited this children's museum twice now and there are some…read morepros and cons. Pro: it's inside the beautiful Tohono Chul Park. The long stroll through the park to the museum is beautiful. A whole additional aspect to explore on your outing since admission to the park is included in visiting the museum and vice versa. Con: the walk through the beautiful park is LONG. Pretty, yes, but not the most convenient if you're toting multiple kids and all of their gear. Pro: the museum itself is compact and concise and has both indoor and outdoor exhibits. There's been different things each time we've been there and it's not overwhelming in terms of things to do. Con: it's compact. The interior portion is small, like just one room. Yes some cool stuff in there like the scarf chute, a grocery store, and a slide, but it's smallllll. It also appears to house the staff's fridge and personal space area. Not certain on that but that's what it looked like to me. And while there were multiple staff members standing around chatting with each other, we had no interaction with them. Overall my toddler daughter has thoroughly enjoyed herself while here and I think it's worthy of a visit, especially if you take some things into consideration. In particular I don't think this museum would be very fun to visit in the summertime with the long walk and the small interior space.

It's nice to look at the plants along the way, but would definitely recommend a stroller for littles! It's not a big museum but had an indoor area and outdoor stations. I felt that some of the areas could use some updating. For example, there was an outdoor art area with easels and no materials to paint or color with. Overall, my son had a good time. It is open 9-1 Tuesday through Sunday. Children under 5 are free but adults need to pay admission to the gardens. They also have daily story time at 930.

This is not a place for older kids, and it can get extremely busy all of a sudden. When they do get busy they often do not have enough staff to man the front counter and the stations, especially the climbing area, which causes long lines slows down participation big time resulting in wasted time. Often during spring break there was only one staff member running that whole climbing area. One thing that I cannot stand as a parent is that they require you to purchase and wear their propriety grip socks. C'mon. Grip socks are grip socks and we have a whole drawer full of grip socks from different places we've been over the years. I've never been to a place where they care which grip socks you are wearing. But if you can't find their branded socks for each kid and adult then you have to purchase another pair just to participate even if you have a handful of viable grip socks. The only mention of it online is when you go to book a date they through it on the screen all of a sudden. It's says you have to have wild Katz grip socks but doesn't exclusively say you can only use their socks. It's just dumb. Lava Island off of River Road and Orange Grove does not have that policy and is also much more suitable for both older and younger kids! This would be a solid 4 star place for younger kids if not for the hit or miss staffing causing lines and the grip sock nonsense!

I dont like going to places where you have to pay just to "observe". They always have great music playing. Smart to have water fountains for patrons to stay hydrated without having to pay extra just for water. Music choice is always superb and awesome to listen to while watching the kiddos enjoy themselves. I haven't tried one yet but I like that they also offer massage chairs so the parents can enjoy themselves too. I appreciate all the hand sanitizer stations on the floor. The employees here are pretty observant and have great attitudes. There's nothing wrong with this place in my opinion but if I could make a recommendation, perhaps adding more options to the snack counter. Other than that I enjoy coming here. They also have a lot of cool discounts on specific days which is nice.

These employees need to be better trained and should not be calling kids slurs or saying things about drinking and driving, smoking and slurs while working around children, this is unacceptable. I only gave this 2 stars because there is a lovely lady and she has always been very kind and respectful. Please hire more people like her, and fire people like the young man.

So many different rooms to explore: there's the transportation/public service area, with a car, a police motorcycle, and ambulance; there's the desert section all about our special Sonoran desert; there's a train room, a grocery store and kitchen, a vet area, a whole science based room, an art room, and a room exclusively for kids 5 and under. Plus there's a whole outdoor section with bubbles, a digging area, a music garden, and a small playground structure. I'm probably forgetting some things too--there's just so much! Not to mention an excellent gift shop. Each time we come we rarely do the same thing, since there is so much to explore! Truly a gem for our community! Each room has a different theme, and while the space looks small when you first walk in, there's actually so much to explore and do. I also really appreciated how family-friendly and relaxed it felt -- they weren't strict about snacks, and we could eat anywhere as long as we cleaned up after ourselves (there are plenty of trash bins in every room). We visited on a weekday morning and got lucky -- hardly anyone was there when they opened, so we basically had the place to ourselves. We brought strollers but didn't end up needing them. Admission was $12 for anyone over 12 months, and it was totally worth it! Highly recommend for families with young kids. There is plenty of meter parking around the museum.

Their big picture, long-term plan is amazing. I've copied/pasted this following information from their digital booklet: "A shaded outdoor adventure playground for hands-on S.T.E.A.M. learning across multiple ages.
