I gave this place 2 stars because it does appear to be clean, however what I don't like is how they pressure the customers to pay with cash in spite of the fact that they do except credit cards. The quality of the nails are not that great. I could barely get two weeks before one or two nails pop off. The female owner Karen is so very rude to some customers. She is also nasty to her staff members. She puts alarm clocks next to the workers while their working. So unprofessional. I would never go back to this place nor would I recommend it. read more

Called ahead of time to confirm they could do a pedi fill and fill for nails. They said yes. When I get there a little later (heavy traffic) I asked again lady said yes. It was 1 1/2 hours before close. I get my pedi done and when the nail tech is 3/4 the same lady tells him that no one is able to do the fill for my nails I told him that she confirmed that someone would be able to! The same lady kept talking to him in their language and never to me. I repeated that she said someone would be able to. He replied that he took long for the pedi and now they wouldn't be able to do the fill. And asked if I could come tomorrow. Super unprofessional and will not be returning. read more

I do not recommend. I asked for a service which an employee confirmed but they ignored what I asked for. I got in the seat, they started and I corrected them. They then told me that it would take too much time and that they were busy so they stopped. The ladies at this nail spa were very warm, funny, and engaging. Also, as a dad, it took all of this to make me comfortable getting a pedicure with my daughter. LOL! Plus, when I left my toes were looking to good. However, my daughter got an infection about a week later because of our experience there. Therefore, unfortunately, I will not be coming back. I wanted to love this place. My nail tech went home to Vietnam and I thought I'll go here and have my nails and feet done. I paid 75 bucks for shoddy work. She applied one coat of polish on my toes and it looks like it and my nails are subpar. Needless to say if I'm going to spend 75 bucks I don't expect my feet to look like I did them myself. My nails were awful when I came in because I tried to remove gel myself which for some reason I had a awful time removing it so I was happy to have my hands look decent again. Jason and his wife recently became owners of this nail salon, which already warrants a 5 star review out of me because Jason is phenomenal when it comes to nails. He is a perfectionist, making sure that every shape and detail is to his (and my) liking. You want your nail tech to be a perfectionist. My past experiences with other nail techs have always ended in some part of my fingers being cut open but Jason takes so much care in his work. He also gets it done very quickly! read more

Sooo, I've been coming here since it opened. I loved it at first especially because I always got my nails done by Nina but I heard that she recently left the salon so I'm not sure where she works now but what I do know is that this salon has been hiring new techs and they just aren't doing their best as much anymore. I've gone to Karen and a few other techs there but they barely ever cut and clean up your cuticles which is important. So I'm done with this place :( read more

I have been going to Laurel Nail & Spa since the Grand Opening early this year. To my surprise the owner sold what I thought was Nail Heaven. This brought concern would the service be the same? I thought that I found my go to spot. However after going for the 3rd time I realized this is NOT the place for me. The last straw was my last visit when I came in for a fill-in and they were all loudly speaking in their language and not a bit of English . The male, whom I assume is an owner stood next to me and said "this is why you should learn my language I would give you $5 off". WHAT!?!?! I was already irritated that they were loudly talking and the tech that was doing my nails was talking on her phone as well for the first 20 mins of doing my nails. They overcharge for what they are limited too. The techs I have experienced can only do flowers and lines. I paid $70 for eyebrow cleanup and a gel fill-in with a freakin flower design, that I settled for since it was all she could do! I was suppose to get a pedi as well but I was over it after the owner said I needed to learn their language. I just went to Karen today and it was the worst manicure I have ever had. She didn't push back my cuticles and I have short nails. I didn't get tips because I needed a manicure first so more of my nail could be seen. She told me it's bad for your nails to push them back, more like laziness and not caring if your customer is happy. Almost all of my nails were filed crooked with the excuse they were broken. I could have easily filed them straight, but I assumed I was getting a manicure with someone who knew what they were doing. I skipped the pedicure and just had a polish change since my every day foot care is probably better than she would have done. Are Karen and Jason new(er) owners? I called up asking for Mimi who I thought was an owner and they said there was no one here by that name. ‍ They also don't post prices- $35 for a crap gel manicure and $15 for a polish change. Techs are rude and mean, managers also don't care that the techs are rude and when a client tells them they have poor service they rant on in their own language amongst themselves about the customer, limited colors, and limited design skills. Only one tech is nice and does good work. I know 4 people who will not be returning due to how they are spoken to. I will now be the 5th to not return, it's sad cause my nail tech is a great person. I wouldn't recommend!!! Tina did my pedicure (gel polish) and in less than a week the polish chipped and that has NEVER HAPPENED!!! She did A gel manicure on me and I did not like the way she removed The gel polish from a previous manicure. She did not scrape it off she just shaved it off , she shaved my cuticles did not push them back. Then after she wrapped the foil and acetone and soak cottoned on my nails she poured acetone on all of my fingers. She didn't take the time to cut my nails or shape them evenly, they're all different lengths! I will never go back to her she's very nice but as far as experience I believe she must be new and It shows! read more

I read reviews and decided to try this place (b/c I've tried a few not-so great places in Laurel, MD). According to the reviews, Nina seemed to be one of the more consistent technicians that people talked highly about (not to talk down on anyone else) so I went in and got a pedi/mani from her. She convinced me to try the SNS, a week and a half later everything is great! She was also a pleasure to talk to during my visit. I definitely plan to see Nina real soon!! read more

Went in on a Monday afternoon 2 weeks ago, it wasn't busy at all. Nancy was the tech. Poor workmanship, had to file my own nails after a point to correct them, and it took her 2 hours to do a gel (1 color) on toes, with a basic clear coat manicure. Talked to her co-workers in her language all the while I'm getting my feet done, and quite frankly, I could care less about that part, just do good work, Interestingly, she tells me she's been doing nails over 20 years, though according to the work, it may be time for her to find something else to do. Charged me $65 when at most, I've paid $55 for these basic services in most places in Maryland. When I questioned her about the charge, she stated that she didn't charge me for picking out my color??? It's a Nail salon... you didn't charge me for picking out my own color, why would you??? This was my second time at the salon with my mom. She was seated and her nails soaked for 20 minutes before someone came to finish her gel manicure. Meanwhile, they rushed a woman out and seated me in her chair. The area wasn't cleaned and the previous customer's used tools and paper towel were still laid out and reused. I did not see the nail tech open a new package of tools or even get up to get a new pack, which I realized later on. He used two unlabeled bottled liquids on my hands which I asked him about. Lastly, upon leaving, a woman asked me to get cash from the ATM instead of using my card when I had just seen her accept a card before me. She said they charge more for credit cards and I told her I was not aware, as there were no signs printed but I did not want to use their ATM and be charged fees. She insisted again and I told her the last time I came, this was not an issue. She then accepted my card as payment. Shady experience overall. read more

I payed 60 dollars for my nails and they didn't last for a whole 24 hours. My nails literally broke off so easy I was folding a shirt and it just broke off. By Wednesday every nail came off. read more
