Their grilled and vermicelli dishes are much better than their noodle soups. I've gotten their Bun Bo Hue here and it's really more akin to a "spicy" pho rather than a Bun Ho Hue. We've had their pho a few times in the restaurant and it's been okay. Most recently, we ordered two bowls of the pho tai for delivery and the broth smelled amazing when we were reheating it on the stove. To our surprise, the broth tasted like one single step above water. It smelled great but had absolutely no taste at all. It's probably the worst pho I've had and I've had a lot of pho! Maybe they were having an off day? I've just never experienced pho like this before. The restaurant itself is clean and the employees are quite nice. I just wouldn't order the pho or Bun Bo Hue here to be honest.

We tried the day's special stuffed wings--boneless wings stuffed with scallops, shrimp, and meat paste that were incredibly crisp, deeply savory, and served piping hot (be careful on that first bite!). The tuna tartare served on crunchy taro chips was wonderfully balanced--honestly, my only wish was for a few more chips because the flavor was so good. For mains, the tender beef cheek over celeriac mash with crispy enoki mushrooms and the rich Thịt Kho mushroom dish were both hits. Pro tip: definitely order a side of rice to soak up all those rich, delicious sauces! We wrapped up with dessert: the Mango Crepe Cake and the Lychee Ice Cream with a warm Pandan Mochi Bar. A quick strategy tip: eat the delicate mango crepe cake first! The pairing of the cool lychee ice cream over the warm, chewy pandan mochi bar is so vibrant and delicious that it will completely steal the show if you start with it. Can't wait to come back for more!

Some dishes were better prepared than others, but overall, the food was solid across the board. If you enjoy making your own spring rolls, you'll love the grilled pork skewers. The pork is super tender and has such a incredible flavor profile of lemongrass, garlic, fish sauce, and more. Rolled up with the woven vermicelli noodles and fried wonton crisps in a rice paper, you get a wonderful combination of texture in a single bite. The other crowd favorite of the night was the bánh xèo -- the stuffed rice crepe. The bánh xèo here is by far the best one that I've ever had, even surpassing ones I had in Vietnam. The outside was insanely crispy and and was surprisingly not particularly oily, while the inside was loaded with fillings. Two other dishes that were well received by the group was the betel leaf wrapped grilled beef and the sugar cane shrimp. The beef had a very similar flavor profile as the pork, but the texture was a lot more lean. The shrimp had a bouncy, yet firm texture to it, and was very well-seasoned. My only qualm with the shrimp dish is that the sugarcane did not actually have any sweetness to it. There's fish sauce on the table along with a shrimp paste sauce, but to be honest, every dish we had was so flavorful on its own, the sauces aren't even needed. The only dish that we ordered that fell short was the grilled river shrimp. The presentation of the shrimp is impressive and very photogenic, but the flavor was lacking and the cook was inconsistent. Some people had shrimp that was undercooked -- borderline raw, and on the other end of the spectrum, others had shrimp that was so overcooked, that it was very difficult to remove the shrimp from the shell without completely tearing the meat. That said, everything else we ordered was well-prepared, and very tasty. Service was good throughout the meal, and I would definitely come back again for a meal with a large group. 4.5 experience rounding up to a 5.

And we got a few different beef sausage style dishes. They were served with rice paper to make our own rolls. It took a few tries to make a good looking roll, but it was a fun experience, and all of the dishes we had were tasty. The service was attentive and friendly. We had made a reservation since there were 7 of us, and they had a round table which I love for group dinners. We got there around 6pm, but within the hour, the restaurant was FULL on a Thursday night. Every single table was taken. I had no idea this place was so popular. Would come back.

Service, at least upstairs in the large but rather austere room, was done by a very direct waitress who seemed to be either used to culling tourists, or was being very direct about the menu, possibly both? We were essentially told to order garlic noodles, crab, beef, veggies, and not much else. Now to be fair those dishes were all good to excellent, particularly the crab and the garlic noodles, with friends absolutely raving about both. Seafood fried rice was good as well, although portions (aside from the crab) were not large, so expect to order more dishes than you might expect. The overall meal was very tasty, the physical vibe worked, but the menu felt more limited than expected, and combined with the terrible parking in the area, it didn't feel like the exceptional meal that was hyped.
