Yes...this is a touristy establishment in one of the most touristy spots in San Francisco. So of course, the lines can be long, and the prices are a bit high. But every time I am at Fisherman's Wharf, this is the last place I have to stop for some crepes to-go before we leave the area. There are no seats inside, and very few benches outside, but you can order the crepes to go and they'll pack up your order nicely for you. The best part is that you can watch them make the crepes for you while you wait. It amazes me how quickly everything cooks. While most folks go for the Nutella or strawberry...or strawberry AND Nutella crepes, this place makes some delicious savory crepes as well. The last time we were there, I tried a crepe with turkey, pesto, and cheese. The balance of flavors and quantity of add-ins was just right. Of course, I also snuck a bite of the Nutella and banana crepe that my kid ordered. I hope this place succeeds and stays open for a long time. The Wharf wouldn't be the same without it!
I love a good crepe so when I saw this spot I had to get some. I did the all fruit one with nutella, sugar powder and whip cream. The crepe itself tasted a little too doughy to me like maybe it was undercooked or something. Service was quick even though they were pretty busy! There's some seatings outside.
Wow. I remember coming here since high school. These crepes were AMAZING. They still are! Service is always quick and staff has always been friendly. I normally get their strawberry + banana + Nutella crepe. It's also always super cool to watch them make the crepe in front of you. The spot has out door seating but could really use some indoor seating. Other than that the spot is super good. I come here everytime I'm at pier 39 and they never disappoint!
My friend, Chio, and I visited this place while we were craving for dessert one night and although it leans more towards the pricer side - due to its location fundamentally being dead center on the pier - surprisingly, the taste of their crêpes make up for it. In other words, they aren't as sweet as we thought they were going to be. We ended up sharing their S'mores Crêpe which consist of Ghirardelli chocolate marshmallows, and graham crackers. I was a bit afraid at first due to its enlisted ingredients, but once I tried it, it was just the right amount of sweetness an older person would very much be more appreciative of. We thought the proportions of the crêpe was also big enough to keep us both satisfied. The place is predominantly a walk-in, meaning there isn't any seating inside, but there are a few benches outside. However, with how popular Pier 39 is, I'd say still be prepared to stand throughout any circumstances.
I was on a trip in San Francisco and I was craving something sweet. So we decided to try this Crepe place. We ordered the lemon crepe. It was very delicious and just the right sweetness. We then ordered the strawberry and banana Nutella crepe. It was very tasty. We also ordered the s'mores crepe. It was also very delicious and chocolaty. But I did not get a photo of it. The service was really good. And they have nice seating outside where you can sit. I really recommend this place for anyone craving a tasty treat.
The grilled chicken crepe was outstanding!!! Fresh ingredients and very tasty! The s'mores crepe was too sweet for me, but my granddaughter liked it. Friendly service.
Nothing fancy... I ordered a lemon crepe with strawberries. It had a bit of lemon/sour flavor and slight sweetness from the sugar. The strawberry had no taste. I would have liked it if the pairing was more flavorful. Service was quick because there weren't too many people around. Ambiance is fishy - since we're right by the wharf. Still enjoyable
Absolutely delicious. I love crepes and this didn't disappoint. We had the classic banana and Nutella and it was everything I wanted. They are big so we shared. Place is really clean, service is fast and friendly. They don't have spots to sit but there are a lot places around to find a seat.
We ordered the mixed fruit crepe with nutella and the dulce de leche with fruit. Both were tasty and the fruit was fresh. However, the crepes were pretty pricey. We came on a Friday around 5pm and it was not too busy.
Considering what a touristy area this is, I'm surprised to see an affordable crepe stop. Options to get salty or sweet crepes, most are between $12-$15. Service was relatively quick and they were very flexible with asking for topping modifications! Enjoyed a turkey sprout crepe, and a strawberry whipped cream crepe. Only a few tables, but enough to rest your tired legs after a long day in the shade. Would definitely be back!
Stopping by Crepe Cafe while in SF is a must! The crepes are phenomenal and priced fairly. The line is usually pretty long but goes by quickly and the service is great. There's not a lot of seating besides a couple tables outside, however.
The food here is good. It taste like any other crêpe, but on the boardwalk. There is limited seating and they do not validate your parking. I got the banana Dulce de Leche crêpe, which was good. They put a lot of of the Dulce de Leche, which was nice. I'm not sure if there were knives, but it was pretty hard to cut into the crêpe with just a fork. They make the order in a big window in front of you so you can see how they're making it and it was a good experience. The crêpe came out pretty fast, which was nice. This would be a good place to have a short date and do something around the boardwalk after. read more
Insanely expensive for serving food on paper but of course this is tourist trap in one of the glorious locations of all North America, where else can sea lions, expansive bridge spans, wild island prison history, and epic city scape combine with a well made crepe? My friends enjoyed theirs and made short work of a regular Nutella. This is a cute little corner with some space and decent menu. read more

Long line but service is very quick ! I did notice that some people who were behind got their crepe first before me. Not just one person but a couple and my order was very basic. I waited and watched the chef go into action! Great music and vibes all around if hungry people. The crepe I believe was about $14. It was so delicious ! read more

Delicious crepes located in the middle of Pier 39! This place is a must try when craving something sweet while on the pier. Be prepared to wait as there is always a line but it does go by fairly fast. Prices are on the higher end but expected based on location. Was skeptical ordering a chicken ranch crepe but it was sooo good! There are a few tables outside but very hard to come by. read more

The crepes are really good and the serving are big enough for it to be an entire meal. The service is pretty fast, and even when it's busy you wait a reasonable time. There is no indoor seating and only a few benches outside, but you can always take your food elsewhere on the pier. read more

Crepe Café is always a great place to stop and grab a quick sweet treat while on the pier. One of our family Favorites to stop by when visiting Pier 39. Enjoy watching through the window as the Crepes are being made... Such a great experience to watch. Ordering was quick and took about five minutes before our crepe was done. They have many options from sweet to savory crepes. Ordered the Mixed fruit with Nutella Crepe which had strawberries and bananas and it was delicious. Nutella sure does taste great in any sweet crepe. Also ordered an iced and an extra hot chai latte and both were perfect. read more
Best Crepes ever, all four rated the crepes 5 out of 5. Service was attentive. We had a chicken breast and a turkey hot Crepes; and we had a banana dulce de leche and a strawberry Nutella Crepe. All were amazing. Recommended A+++ read more
Stopped by for a crepe on the pier! It was a good spot to stop for a quick bite rather than a sit-down meal. Pretty pricey, $10 for a ham and cheese crepe, $5 for a soda and around $8 for some fries. But that's pretty normal for the pier pricing. The crepe batter was thin and not overly eggy. Perfect! Only suggestion would be that it was too much cheese, not enough ham. read more

I went to this store with my family. We were so excited for dessert. We ordered and sat down. My kids were running around our table and went into the store one time. My 3 year old went and touched the payment machine screen once. And out of nowhere, one of the employees lunges toward my kid, stomps very loudly on the ground with his foot and yells "WAAAAHHHH!!!!!" At the top of his lungs, as if shoo-ing a rabid raccoon. My kid ran out terrified crying at the top of his lungs with true fear on his face. What the heck?! Who does that to a child?! What kind of human does that?! You can speak gently to a child or speak to the parents. But scare and traumatize the child?! What the heck is wrong with your brain?! It takes a very horrible person to be that evil towards a curious child. Other customers sitting around seemed appalled by what happened as well so it wasn't a biased feeling on my part. I tried talking to the employee and he was callous and could care less what I had to say and brushed me off angrily. Horrible!! He refused to give me his name and cussed me out in Spanish instead. In case you want to see him, there's a photo. Worse yet? The other two employees in the store acted like nothing happened. When I spoke up, they said "we didn't do anything, it was him". No one apologized, no one cared about the terrified child. Zero empathy. Zero customer service. Congrats, you lost a local customer forever. Keep away, especially if you have kids. Not kid-friendly. read more
While there's an abundance of amazing dessert places to explore in SF, this place is alright if you get a sweets craving while at the pier. It's nothing special and actually quite pricey for what you get but it hits the spot. I don't think the fruit is the freshest - the strawberries in our crepe looked really pale and soft, like it had been cut a day or two ago. The line is long but it moves quickly. Wish they would do a better job of cleaning the tables and chairs outside as there were all kinds of spills but I guess it's kinda hard when they're always being used. read more

Speed for breakfast on the Pier and went with a sweet crepe. Ordered: Mixed Fruit Crepe It was unsatisfying. The whip creme saved it, but if you're not a chocolate lover or Nutella lover and go plain ... you'll probably find it dry and disappointing. If I were in the area again, I would ship this place. read more
We stopped here because we were looking for crepes (psychic power?), and we saw a photo of crepes and crab and chowder. I wanted strawberry, banana & Nutella crepes yesterday, but after seeing the brownish bananas on the window, I decided on the crab crepes and large bowl of clam chowder. For the food & environment, 4 stars! Minus 1 star for not having the right combination for the restroom (men). For the women, the door was already opened, so I didn't have to use a combination. Hubby also have to text me, he got locked out, so I have to get up to open the back door. The restroom was outside in the mall. Note to JEN A, Yelp Reviewed on 3-21-22: That was the same vendor, yes, but you got the wrong location! read more
Used my Pier 39 employee discount and tried many of the menu items. I had the banana nutella crepe, lemon crepe, jammin raspberry jam crepe, cheese crepe, ham and cheese crepe, and pesto crepe. They also have some seafood crepes here. Probably the catch(no pun). read more

Different from most! The Pier 39 location of the Crepe Cafe has been around since 2002. I live close by so have had almost 20 years to frequent them. I can't say that I am a regular, but I have tried enough items off the menu to be a fair judge. I personally like their Basic, Breakfast and Breakfast Plus crepes, and the honorable mention goes to the Veggie Crepe! Their French Fries, coffee drinks and Hot Chocolate (especially on a chilly San Francisco afternoon) is pretty good too. So what is a crepe? Right?! Simply put, it is a very thin pancake. They usually come in two types: sweet and savory. The roots of Crepes go back to ancient Greece, but the type we are used to eating today comes from France. The Crepe Cafe serve their crepes with a variety of fillings like Spinach, Diced Red Onion, Feta & Cheddar Cheese (Florentine Crepe) or Sliced Turkey, Avocado, Monterey Jack & Pesto Sauce (Turkey Pesto). The process of making them is fun to watch too! They have a big window where passerbys can stop and watch; I have done it many time! Try them, they are good :-) read more

I love crepes and I feel you can't really go wrong with them unless you skimp on the toppings. The Crepe Cafe at Pier 39 did not disappoint, good food and good service on a slightly busy Saturday afternoon in March. We ordered 2 combos (crepe + fries + drink)... too much food, but it was a better deal. The fries were just standard fair food quality. But the crepes were outstanding. We opted for one sweet (strawberry and dark chocolate) and one savory (ham and cheese). Both were delicious. I loved watching through the outside window as they created our food, generous amount of toppings spread over the batter toasting on the griddle... a thick layer of dark chocolate chips covered with slices of fresh strawberries fused together to make a mouthwatering dessert I couldn't wait to devour. And our savory crepe was so yummy and filling, a heap of gooey melted cheese mixed with ham inside the wafer thin pancake-like batter wrap, so good even if so simple. One thing to note, on a busy day, there's very limited seating especially during COVID only 2-3 small tables... more benches can be found throughout the Pier, but let's be honest, no one enjoys eating from their lap (we were lucky enough to snag a table during our recent visit). Also, though people were wearing masks, there wasn't much social distancing going on (you can see from my photo of the line). But this was an issue throughout the entire Pier, not just at this specific eatery. This shop also doesn't have clear signage outside -- pickup/exit is on the left, and the entrance/line to order is through the door on the right. I gave this place 5 stars, because in a tourist location you often get high prices with low quality food. But our experience and meal was so satisfying, and a good choice for having a snack or treat while enjoying the shops and attractions at Pier 39. It exceeded expectations. read more
