Divis Taqueria opened in mid July, and I went today for lunch. They are in the Crêperie La…read moreSarrasine space at 607 Divis. The French cuisine is still featured, but there is a new sign and awning for TD. As well as the delicious new food! I have lived on the 500 block for 16 years and this is an amazing add to the neighborhood. We've never had our own authentic taqueria this close. And I can tell you that the tortillas here are LEGIT. On to the experience. The staff is awesome, you will be well attended here. You can order at the register, but there is full wait service. The interior retains the French look, and has added some Mexican touches. There is a parklet outside. In the dining room, there are large open windows with bar seating. A true indoor / outdoor spot. On to the food. I got the Al Pastor tacos, which are traditional street style, though they were nice enough to add cheese to the tortillas. Red and green salsa on the side, and I'm told they're looking into a spicy sauce as well. Open on Friday and Saturday until Midnight. Check www.divistaqueria.com for their weekly hours and menu. Directly across the street from both Emporium and Independent on Divis. And a delicious lunch if you're in NOPA. Place will blow up and couldn't happen to better people. Get ready for this business!!

Amazing french food here!! *chefs kiss*…read more Found this gem when we were heading to the Independent for a concert but was early and decided to grab a bite as my boyfriend suggested this spot after seeing it on Yelp close by. The server sat us down and gave us menus right away with ice waters. The interior was nice and cozy with French music and decor. We shared both the Boeuf Bourguignon and the Champagnarde Galette and both were wonderful. The presentation on both were elegant and appetizing. The flavors and textured worked well in both dishes and the portions were satisfying. My boyfriend also ordered a glass of wine he enjoyed. I would love to come back and try their different dishes as I had a hard time decided since everything sounded so delicious! Great dinner spot, felt like a mini getaway.

THE BEST CREPES!!!!!!! No joke, best crepes ever. From east…read morecoast to west, this is the absolute, hands down, best crepe spot. Nestled in the heart of Japan town's shopping center, right next to the bookstore- Sophie's crepes is. Very small bistro seating is available, but this place gets pretty busy. They have an extensive menu of both simple and layered flavors. The crepes here are thin and crispy, and come in a very cute crepe holder when served. I always get the strawberries and banana with Nutella, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The crepe won't last long, you'll eat it right up. My partner opts for a strawberry and whipped cream option, with raspberry jam- simple in comparison to my order. Sophie's is always our starting point in Japan town, and once you've placed your order, you cannot revise it. Make sure you hold onto your number, you'll need to provide it when your number is called. Enjoy, a must try in SF; even if you just go to Japan town for this one thing, trust me, it's worth it.

The shop is easy to find and on the smaller side with limited tables inside but there's more seating outside. Customer service was friendly and adequate. I We opted to order the mixed fresh fruit crepe and it was great and not overly sweet. It included whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and some pieces of kiwi, banana and strawberry. The crepe itself was light and had a good flavor. I do wish the fruit pieces and ice cream were more evenly distributed but it was a nice sweet treat. I was hoping they would include more berries too. Also, the crepe can be messy to eat, so definitely grab some napkins. Otherwise, I recommend visiting Sophie's Crepes for a solid dessert. I'd like to return and try one of their savory crepes!
