I am so grateful for Luis. When I first reached out to him about my marriage, I was in a lot of pain and honestly didn't know how to move forward or how to heal things with my wife. Luis really took the time to listen to both of us and helped put everything into perspective so we could understand the root causes of our problems, not just the surface fights. He kept reminding us to slow down, actually listen to each other, and not jump straight into fixing or defending. That simple shift made a huge difference. We spent around 10 sessions with Luis, and our marriage is now better than ever. My wife and I are genuinely falling in love with each other all over again. We feel closer, more connected, and safer together than we have in years. I am truly thankful for Luis and the work he does. read more

My spouse and I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the sessions we've had with Luis. The time has been immensely beneficial in not only strengthening our marriage but also deepening my personal relationship with my wife. Having dedicated time to openly discuss and work on our relationship, under the guidance of a skilled specialist like Luis, has been invaluable. We've gained many insights and have addressed parts of our relationship that we might not have been able to tackle on our own. Luis' expertise and thoughtful approach have made a significant difference in our lives. The service provided has been excellent and we cannot recommend Lasting Love Connections enough. Thank you Luis. read more

When going through marriage coach options, we spoke to many who we felt would do a "good job". But in our first call, Luis moved us greatly when we were called to try something out. Luis and Last Love Connection have a very unique and necessary approach to relationships and marriage. I love the mix of absolute empathy but with research backed methods that are backed by studies and science. I think this work provides an immense value no matter where someone is at in the journey. It is one of the best investments we made into ourselves and our family. read more

Luis helped my wife and reconnect by opening communication lines between us. This has allowed us to move forward with our life plans including our adult son who has had difficulties moving out of the house and "launching". Luis is very intuitive and caring. He "tells it like it is" when need be and doesn't let you off the hook but always in a positive way. He had a way of connecting with each of us without taking either side whatsoever. I've been in counseling for many years and seen about ten different providers and Luis is one of the best IMO. A session with him is equivalent to 2 or 3 sessions with some others I've had in the past. Also, he is very generous with his time and won't just cut you short if the hour is up, he'll go until it's the right stopping point. Highly recommended. read more

I often come to Luis for relationship advice and guidance. His unbiased insights have really helped me open my eyes and shed light on how I'm showing up in my relationship and grow personally. Because of this my relationship couldn't be better! read more

Luis!!!! A godsend. Where to even begin? My husband and I first reached out to Luis for help with our marriage a little over a year ago. After the initial consult, we knew he was a better fit for us compared to previous marriage counselors we'd tried. We needed someone to guide us and coach us toward solutions rather than just listen to us complain about our problems. Over the past year, we've done two sets of 12 coaching sessions with him. My husband and I have been together for 12 years, and this was by far the most transformative, eye-opening, and healing year of our relationship. Luis taught us about dialectical thinking, about partnership and respect, and showed us how to locate and love the inner child not only in ourselves but also in each other. I found myself shocked time and time again by his ability to understand complex issues and wrap up sessions in a way that made both my husband and I feel validated and safe. We each felt truly seen and cared for while simultaneously, when necessary, being held accountable for our shortcomings. As a result, we were able to process through and drastically improve some pretty in-grained behaviors. The love and intimacy that has come out of these sessions is something we will carry with us for years to come. We view each other and marriage differently now and that's invaluable. We are so thankful for the huge role Luis has played in our lives and will cherish this experience always! read more

On two occasions, our sessions opened with me saying "Luis, how this session ends might well determine if our marriage survives, so no pressure"... And I was 100% serious. Not only did Luis help us get through those tough/confusing times, but he taught us both how to notice and avoid such problems in the future. At times, we both felt like things were hopeless, but Luis coached us towards hope and an even more amazing relationship than we had before we met him. If you not a fan of counselling, coaching anyone else meddling in your relationship, please do yourself a favor and let this man work his relationship coaching magic! Your spouse, family and friends will thank you for it. read more

Luis has made a tremendous impact on both myself and my husband. My husband and I have been together for 19+ years and managed to get lost somewhere along the way. He's an amazing relationship coach. My husband and I weren't communicating well with one another and this was causing a lot of grief in our marriage. Luis has done an amazing job of teaching us how to effectively communicate (listen) AND connect again. I would highly recommended Luis to any couple that is looking for guidance. read more

I remember the day I called Luis and the amount of pain, frustration, and hopelessness I was feeling in my relationship. I truly felt we were at the end of our rope. We were trapped in a cycle of the same communication lapses and hurt feelings. 8 sessions later, and we have come a long way! I know there is a "stigma" attached to counseling, especially couples counseling. When you share that you are in therapy, many people assume that there must be trouble in paradise; that it's all downhill from there. This couldn't be further from the truth!!! I think every couple, no matter how healed or healthy you think your relationship is, could benefit from Luis and his teachings. Luis creates a non judgmental, safe, and calming space. If you are open, honest, and are committed to his process, it works. By session 5 I had felt we turned a page. We are grateful for the time we have been able to spend with Luis, and now engaged, will definitely be seeking his services out again to keep our foundation in check! read more

We had the absolute best experience with Luis. Both my husband and I have been to counselors together and apart and have never felt someone truly understood our situation the way Luis did. We feel super thankful for all of the mentoring and amazing communication throughout our sessions. We'll be booking again in the future! read more

My husband and I are so happy with our sessions with Luis! He quite honestly may have saved our marriage while we were at a very low point, and continues to help us deepen it and learn more about one another... even after being together for 10+ years. Luis is a wonderful listener, and provides us with insight and tools that have helped open up conversations and dialog and deepen our marriage. While we first reached out to him during a dark and reactive time in our marriage, we will continue to meet with him to proactively maintain the positive new foundation we have built with his help. Thank you so much Luis! read more

Luis is a remarkable, wise and kind hearted coach who listens to you patiently, free of judgment and hones in to help you unpack your baggage. He can suspend time to ensure there is enough for the whole story, while also keeping things moving so once you are done when you need to be, having defined your next steps. tools and attitudes he helped me hone have taken me to an entirely new level. I have been Luis's client for more than a year, I feel at peace, or know how to get there, no matter what is going on. As my life unfolds in front of me, even the struggles feel like a form of grace. Luis has been a great help for us when our marriage was in crisis, he helped us understand each other better and listen to what each other need. Then a real life crisis hit us and he stepped up to help us in ways he did not have to. He went above and beyond as well as being extremely accommodating to our needs and schedules with two small children, we got to meet virtually after the kids went to bed. It made it so much more accessible for parents. A huge plus. read more

Recently I met Luis at a counseling retreat for adolescent counselors and treatment professionals. I had been struggling with acceptance and misguided emotional responses in my relationship with my partner Erick. After meeting Luis and attending a session he led on silent communication, I approached him and broke down in tears, filled with emotional pain. Luis listened to me, found the compassion necessary to understand my pain and helped guide me to a place of peace in myself and to find that love that transcends my complete understanding. Our time was short, but no other human being has ever had such an effect on my psyche. Through my efforts, guided by Luis, my relationship is stronger than it has ever been and growing everyday! I will be eternally grateful for Luis taking that moment to open my eyes with knowledge and understanding. Luis, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!! Frederick W. Seattle, WA read more

Luis is such a skillful relationship coach. My partner and I had been to several couples counselors, with little to no results. (One of the counselors actually made our problems worst!) Needless to say, we were feeling pretty defeated about going to another couples counselor. I reached out to Luis at the recommendation of a trusted friend. He was super accommodating and incredibly patient. He also held us EACH accountable for the ways we were and were not supporting one another. My partner really appreciated the ways that Luis helped us get a bit more structure into our relationship, such as weekly check-ins, etc. And my partner (a white cisgender man) felt very seen and understood by Luis. If you're on the fence about trying yet another external resource to support you in your relationship, I highly recommend giving Luis a try. His coaching is worth every penny. read more

My wife and I will be eternally grateful to Luis for everything that he has done to help us repair and rebuild our relationship. We came to him at a low point-we felt disconnected from one another, and didn't know how to get out of the repeated cycles of conflict that we found ourselves in. Starting from our first session with him, he took the time to get to know us, and to understand our relationship. It was clear that he wanted to be responsive to our individual personalities and to the characteristics of our specific relationship. In the process of him making space to understand us, it helped us to begin to understand each other again. We covered a lot of ground together, ranging from the everyday frustrations of household chores, to intimacy. Luis was always patient and knowledgeable, and it was clear throughout that his goal was to set us up to begin to successfully communicate and connect directly with one another. We've come so far, and we are eternally grateful to Luis for helping us make that progress! We can't recommend him more highly. read more

Luis Congdon has really helped me throughout our 8 sessions together. It was very useful to have a third person's perspective in my relationship counseling, and someone to help me through the breakup process when I decided to leave my partner. I learned so much about myself in such a short amount of time, and Luis gave me the tools and advice to become the version of myself that I've always wanted to be. He has helped me to better prepare for new relationships of all kinds in my life. The things I have learned through his counseling sessions and the journey to where I am at now was priceless. Recently, when one of my teens started to have some issues with risky behaviors and self-identity, I contacted Luis both for advice and to reach out to my son. Luis responded right away and was able to engage with him in a way that we as his parents couldn't. He helped him verbalize some of his feelings and frustrations and worked with him to come up with strategies to make positive changes. He helped us understand some of the ways we could help our son too, while maintaining his confidentiality. He really helped all of us bridge those gaps in a moment of crisis and continues to be a mentor and coach to our son.
