I was not impressed by the quality of service I received. I think Tracy is probably a skilled therapist, especially seeing all the good reviews she has. However, her office space was not sound proofed and there was someone working outside and a lot of traffic noise during my sessions. Although Tracy cannot control that, she was unapologetic and I ended up paying almost a thousand dollars for sessions and a recording that was unusable due to noise on the recording. I saw her a while ago, so maybe she has a better office space now. She also took a long time sending me the recording. It took I think 3 weeks and a few emails to get it. By the time I did I had lost whatever connection to the sessions I felt. Overall, very disappointing. I let her know how I felt, and I feel like a person with integrity would have invited me back during a quiet time to redo the session. read more

I went to see Tracy Adams, CHt for insomnia. Having had little experience with hypnotherapy, Tracy made me feel comfortable immediately. She is very passionate about her practice which I love, as people who immerse themselves into things most usually are very good at them. We talked at length and Tracy not only covered the process of hypnotherapy, but also helped me to understand the how's and why's certain processes happen in the brain (eg. anxiety, hyperawareness, dehydration). It was fascinating! She then helped me make the connection between some of the health issues I've been dealing with, and my sleeping problem - then tied it together by explaining the mind & body relationship (e.g. deep breathing is very important!!). This was followed by a hypnotherapy treatment. After 1 successful session, I walked outside and felt noticeably different. I felt lighter, optomistic, and my thinking was clearer. My sleep began improving in the days following, and it still continues to improve as I practice what she taught me and work with the training recordings she provided. I went back a week later, and great results then, as well. My average night's sleep has gone from 4-5 hours to 7 and I couldn't be more pleased. When I told my obstetrician about my concerns regarding the potential side effects of pain medication during labor and delivery, she recommended hypnobirthing classes. I'd never heard of hypnobirthing, but found information about Tracy and her practice, Seattle HypnoBirthing, on Yelp. Despite being a mental health counselor and believing in mindfulness and other arguably talternative therapeutic techniques, I was skeptical that hypnosis skills could help prepare me and my partner for childbirth. During our first meeting with Tracy, my skepticism was assuaged by her authenticity, warmth, and grounded, logical approach. We met with her individually four times during the last few weeks of my pregnancy. I found the breathing, relaxation and affirmation techniques very helpful. In combination with Tracy's anecdotal stories about clients' childbirth experiences, the techniques made me feel confident in our ability to have the labor and delivery we hoped for. My husband found "being aware of what we were walking into, and all the potential possibilities of how things could transpire was very helpful; and having a very clear role of how to help you made me feel confident and in control." Our daughter's birth went as we hoped. We labored at home for several hours, taking Tracy's advice to eat and drink fluids, and remain as relaxed and comfortable as possible. By the time we arrived at Swedish First Hill I was 7cm dilated. Our nurse and doctor were very supportive of our wishes to have a natural birth. Our nurse even reminded my partner of pressure holds and showed him a new technique for increasing my comfort between surges. Thanks to hypnobirthing, throughout labor I felt relaxed and confident that my body and baby were working in harmony. At no point was I afraid or did I feel the need for pain medication. I can't say enough good things about Tracy and Cornerstone Hypnotherapy. My husband and I attended her Hypnobirthing classes, which were more than phenomenal when it came time to real labor and birth, and I attended a private session to help labor start once I passed 41 weeks. For me, Hypnobirthing was a wonderful tool during the birthing process, and an invaluable one to me in helping me have the natural birth experience I was hoping for. It is my pleasure to share what my life has become since starting my hypnotherapy with Tracy Adams of Cornerstone Hypnotherapy. I have been seeing Tracy weekly for about 6 months now. The results are so profound and progressive it is hard to articulate this. My life has changed in ALL areas not just the weight loss that I originally sought her support for. Tracy is amazing! My fiance and I went to see her for private Hypnobirthing sessions. We were planning on a natural birth at a hospital and really liked the idea of Hypnobirthing (well...I liked the idea ;) I got such a good feeling from Tracy when we first talked on the phone to plan out our sessions. She is so calm and confident and so good at what she does. I had been to a couple hypnosis sessions before, but my fiance had not and he was a little nervous about the whole idea. Tracy put him at ease immediately, and we both looked forward to our sessions with Tracy after that first one. We were both sad when they were over! We truly enjoyed our sessions and both felt so calm and relaxed about our upcoming delivery....and in our everyday lives too! And it paid off. We had an amazingly quick delivery without any drugs!
