It's been 68 days since my first appointment with Tracy. And it's been 68 days since I've picked or bitten my nails. Tracy is amazing. If you're on the fence about whether or not to try hypnotherapy out, just go for it. I was a nail biter/skin picker all my life. My fingers always hurt and at least one was bleeding and swollen every day. I tried all of the things - regular therapy, bitter nail polish, gloves all day long, acrylics, gels. You name it, I had tried it - and they all failed. Enter Tracy. She clearly explained every step of the treatment and was very honest that I would need to put in the work along with the therapy, this wasn't a magic fix. I had 3 sessions with Tracy over three weeks and 37 years of repetitive destructive behavior is gone. My mind is blown. It's still surreal to me that I have stopped. It turns out it wasn't a habit I needed to break, it was a coping mechanism that I needed to confront and let go of. And Tracy lead me through the entire journey. It sounds trite to say 'Tracy does life changing work' - but it's true. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you Tracy!!!! - Lauren read more

After 27 years of struggling with periodic insomnia, I felt like I had tried everything--melatonin, acupuncture, Ambien, meditation, and even working with a sleep research center. Nothing seemed to work. Then, a colleague recommended hypnotherapy. After doing my research, I decided to work with Tracy Barrett Adams, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made. In just a couple of sessions, I noticed a significant improvement in my sleep. Tracy's approach, while it may seem "alternative" to some, her work is very professional. She shared simple, strategies that made perfect sense and were easy to incorporate into my routine. If you're struggling with insomnia or other sleep challenges, I highly recommend Tracy Barrett Adams. Her expertise and compassionate approach truly made a difference in my life! read more

Tracy's session have been an incredible catalyst for change in my life. I am more productive, efficient, creative and present. After just a few sessions I am so much more competent in the face of challenge. I went to Tracy because I wanted to step into my greater potential professionally. Tracy is a wise listener, she helped me understand myself and she always seems to cut right to the core even when I give her so much to work with. Tracy's hypnosis sessions are gorgeous. Through Tracy's intuitive guiding I have moved through fears, old patterns and habits and stuck places. When I started working with Tracy I was really bound up in some hopelessness for change. Now I feel so much power and possibility. I am so immensely grateful. Thank you Tracy for everything you are such a gift!! read more

Tracy transformed my life. I was a patient of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (standard therapy) for many years and when I experienced a single appointment with Tracy, I never looked back. I have since seen her on an ongoing basis for more than fifteen years. I cannot sing enough praises to commend her high quality of care, and unique style of skill-sets which she incorporates into her work. She is AMAZING! Make an appointment ASAP! read more

I was not impressed by the quality of service I received. I think Tracy is probably a skilled therapist, especially seeing all the good reviews she has. However, her office space was not sound proofed and there was someone working outside and a lot of traffic noise during my sessions. Although Tracy cannot control that, she was unapologetic and I ended up paying almost a thousand dollars for sessions and a recording that was unusable due to noise on the recording. I saw her a while ago, so maybe she has a better office space now. She also took a long time sending me the recording. It took I think 3 weeks and a few emails to get it. By the time I did I had lost whatever connection to the sessions I felt. Overall, very disappointing. I let her know how I felt, and I feel like a person with integrity would have invited me back during a quiet time to redo the session. read more

Tracy is phenomenal and very skilled at what she does. I took her hypnobirthing class for my second baby, and I'm so impressed after having one birth how much invaluable information she offers. It's a blessing to have found her. She's amazing, if you're thinking about reaching out to her for anything, do it!! read more

For the skeptical, myself included, think of Tracy as an incredible masseuse for your mind. As someone who is a high overachiever, an intense competitor, and aggressive perfectionist, I have always been able to rationalize and intellectually explain any of my behaviors back to myself. So much so that other therapists spent more time listening to my theories than providing solutions. Tracy enables you to turn the chatter off and access the more primordial motivations behind your behaviors. She passes through the explanations you tell yourself to understand the things you have built up to make sense of your behavior. She has helped me release myself from a number of negative motivations I held for myself. She is an incredibly talented medical professional - I have already recommended her to others on numerous occasions. At the end of the day, I love coming here. Every muscle in your body needs release to get stronger and grow. The brain is no different. read more

I went to see Tracy Adams, CHt for insomnia. Having had little experience with hypnotherapy, Tracy made me feel comfortable immediately. She is very passionate about her practice which I love, as people who immerse themselves into things most usually are very good at them. We talked at length and Tracy not only covered the process of hypnotherapy, but also helped me to understand the how's and why's certain processes happen in the brain (eg. anxiety, hyperawareness, dehydration). It was fascinating! She then helped me make the connection between some of the health issues I've been dealing with, and my sleeping problem - then tied it together by explaining the mind & body relationship (e.g. deep breathing is very important!!). This was followed by a hypnotherapy treatment. After 1 successful session, I walked outside and felt noticeably different. I felt lighter, optomistic, and my thinking was clearer. My sleep began improving in the days following, and it still continues to improve as I practice what she taught me and work with the training recordings she provided. I went back a week later, and great results then, as well. My average night's sleep has gone from 4-5 hours to 7 and I couldn't be more pleased. Tracy Adams CHt is an extremely knowledgeable individual. I have recommended her highly & will continue to do so. read more

Tracy is wonderful in all ways. She happily customized how she worked with me based on my past successes with hypnotherapy. We addressed a compulsive eating disorder that I'd had since childhood in just three sessions. It's been about two years since we worked together and my life continues to be much happier due to her help. read more

Among all the hypnotherapists I have tried over the past few years, I have seen the best results with Tracy at Cornerstone Hypnotherapy. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to break through their limiting beliefs that keep them from reaching their full potential or to anyone struggling to achieve a goal because their negative self talk is holding them down. I am a sales professional who works on a commission only basis selling very expensive vacation products. If I am not selling, I do not bring home a paycheck. I usually have 45 mins to sell intangible products that range in price from $10k up to $100k+. My job relies on me to make calculated decisions and pull from a plethora of resources and tools to assist in the sales process. Tracy helped me to clear all the mental junk and negative thoughts about variables I could not control at work that were sabotaging my income and ultimate success. I gained the self confidence I needed to become a master closer and go from closing 20% to 40% almost over night. Prior to seeing Tracy, I had only sold $60k in volume by week 3 in the month which equated to $3600 paycheck for the month. I finished the month at $144k which made me $15k! Tracy has a way of making you feel comfortable if you are new to Hypnotherapy and provides great tools to assist you in any area after you leave. I highly recommend her services. read more

Tracy is amazing. My wife and I had gone to her HypnoBirthing classes so I was already familiar with her style of hypnotherapy, so when I needed to see a hypnotherapist for other issues, she was the obvious choice. I've seen other hypnotherapists in Seattle, but Tracy is my favorite. A single hour in hypnotherapy accomplishes what six months to a year in regular therapy accomplishes...this is a pretty amazing life hack everyone should know about. read more

Working with Tracy to resolve a very long standing issue with insomnia was nothing short of miraculous. I began sleeping better the night after our first session together. I went from dreading bedtime - afraid of enduring another long sleepless night- to looking forward to the end of the day, confident I would enjoy a good night's sleep. I feel so grateful for her wisdom, expertise, professionalism and the outcome. I am sleeping 7-8 hours a night, something I never dreamed was possible. Working with Tracy was the best decision for me. I only wish I had found her years ago. read more

Tracy is a miracle worker! I approached her earlier this year to seek help with a sugar addiction that I've battled most of my life. I had heard positive things about the affects hypnotherapy can have, and wanted to see for myself. I did a bit of research to see which hypnotherapist might be the best fit for me, and Tracy was by far the high regarded, and, from the reviews I'd read, created the best results. From the first time I met Tracy, I knew I had come to the right place. She's kind, compassionate, and very intuitive to my needs every time I go in to see her. Since working with Tracy, my sugar addictions are well under control, and I'm on my way to achieving the healthy lifestyle I've always wanted but never could because of my food addictions. Because of the amazing results I'd had regarding my sugar addition, I decided to seek help in other areas of my life that I was struggling in, particularly dealing with self-confidence and social anxiety. I'm thrilled with my results thus far, and can't wait to see the kind of person I will become as I continue to work with Tracy. She's as good as it gets! read more

When I told my obstetrician about my concerns regarding the potential side effects of pain medication during labor and delivery, she recommended hypnobirthing classes. I'd never heard of hypnobirthing, but found information about Tracy and her practice, Seattle HypnoBirthing, on Yelp. Despite being a mental health counselor and believing in mindfulness and other arguably talternative therapeutic techniques, I was skeptical that hypnosis skills could help prepare me and my partner for childbirth. During our first meeting with Tracy, my skepticism was assuaged by her authenticity, warmth, and grounded, logical approach. We met with her individually four times during the last few weeks of my pregnancy. I found the breathing, relaxation and affirmation techniques very helpful. In combination with Tracy's anecdotal stories about clients' childbirth experiences, the techniques made me feel confident in our ability to have the labor and delivery we hoped for. My husband found "being aware of what we were walking into, and all the potential possibilities of how things could transpire was very helpful; and having a very clear role of how to help you made me feel confident and in control." Our daughter's birth went as we hoped. We labored at home for several hours, taking Tracy's advice to eat and drink fluids, and remain as relaxed and comfortable as possible. By the time we arrived at Swedish First Hill I was 7cm dilated. Our nurse and doctor were very supportive of our wishes to have a natural birth. Our nurse even reminded my partner of pressure holds and showed him a new technique for increasing my comfort between surges. Thanks to hypnobirthing, throughout labor I felt relaxed and confident that my body and baby were working in harmony. At no point was I afraid or did I feel the need for pain medication. My husband was more supportive than I could have hoped for. He was calm, attentive, fully present and happy throughout the labor and delivery. Four hours after our arrival at the hospital, our daughter was born. We feel Tracy played a significant role in our very positive childbirth experience. If you have any concerns about labor and delivery, or if you simply feel you could benefit from strengthening your relaxation skills or your partners' support skills, don't hesitate to meet with Tracy. She was wonderful! Claudia & Ed read more

I can't say enough good things about Tracy and Cornerstone Hypnotherapy. My husband and I attended her Hypnobirthing classes, which were more than phenomenal when it came time to real labor and birth, and I attended a private session to help labor start once I passed 41 weeks. For me, Hypnobirthing was a wonderful tool during the birthing process, and an invaluable one to me in helping me have the natural birth experience I was hoping for. As for the "baby come out session" after I passed 41 weeks, it was a relaxing two-hour visit and I ended up going in to labor less than 12 hrs later! Tracy is a wonderful teacher and calming voice. Working with her in a group setting and one-on-one was great. She is professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to communicate with! read more

It is my pleasure to share what my life has become since starting my hypnotherapy with Tracy Adams of Cornerstone Hypnotherapy. I have been seeing Tracy weekly for about 6 months now. The results are so profound and progressive it is hard to articulate this. My life has changed in ALL areas not just the weight loss that I originally sought her support for. The daily feedback from family, friends and coworkers is amazing and very consistent. The first word people will use is "happy". That in and of itself is worth all the time and effort put into my therapy. Other great aspects I am enjoying are more confidence, clarity, compassion and self esteem. I have lost in the range of 25 pounds, which came on the heels of trying almost every weight loss option offered out in the world. I am 57 years old and have struggled with weight since my 30s. I have lost the weight easily and the ultimate modification of what I eat, how much and when is nothing short of a miracle. The foods I now desire are natural, organic and very healthy. My body truly knows what it naturally needs and with the hypnotherapy I can make conscious healthy choices without much thought. My overall stress level has dropped dramatically which is the number one health problem for us as Americans these days. I have a full tool box of options I can draw on whenever I feel the need. The amazing part is I don't usually even have to consider options -I am guided by what my "authentic" self truly desires and it comes naturally. I chose to not weigh, count calories, document food intake, etc. This method has proven the most effective and is SO much easier! I was very sedentary as well and with gentle guidance to begin and maintain "movement" I now walk about 30 minutes every day as well as take advantage of stairs, parking at a distance, etc. I am full of energy, feel positive, encouraged and have a sense of well-being I have never known. The beautiful thing is the therapy teaches the natural-knowing subconscious to speak to the conscious and formulate new habits and drop old harmful patterns. In all of us is a natural knowing that is just waiting to be accessed. For me, my hypnotherapy has facilitated this. In terms of which person to support this -- I highly recommend Tracy. She is an extremely knowledgeable, gentle, talented therapist. I have loved working with her so much I continue to see her every week to just uncover the gifts of what can be opened up in me. It is with deep gratitude and heartfelt sincerity that I thank her for all the wonderful changes in my life. In good health, J Barrett read more

Where do I begin? First, when it comes to finding an intelligent, honest, and ethical therapist (let alone hypnotherapist) you want to make sure you find the right one. After all, they are dealing with issues you have probably been working on for years and will be working on the conscious and unconscious part of you. Enter Tracy Adams. I truly believe she is a god send and a true light in this world. Her warm-hearted, authentic, and skillful qualities are what make her truly one of the best therapists I have ever encountered! At first I went in to see Tracy for a general issue and upon my first session I couldn't believe the results. I decided to see Tracy again for other issues such as public speaking and again, Tracy deals with every issue and situation with a warm heart yet practical approach to getting her clients RESULTS. I feel as if I made a friend in the process and am happy for every person that comes in contact with Tracy - she is that wonderful. read more

Tracy is Awesome!! Very professional and genuine. I had a great experience throughout the sessions. Acquired great tools that help me every day. Originally scheduled 6 sessions but when Tracy saw that I'm doing well on my own and was able to implement all exercises, she felt the last session is not needed and cancelled it. I enjoyed the sessions very much and feel they already help me loose the weight I need. read more

Like many, I started seeing Tracy for hypnotherapy and I was full of skepticism and doubt. I have lived with anxiety since I was 10 years old and have tried everything under the sun to improve my mentality, cope with my anxiety and develop a stronger self-esteem. Immediately upon seeing Tracy, I was put at ease and knew I had made the right decision to try hypnosis. Tracy is extremely calming, supportive and informative. Tracy guided me through the science, process and intention of her work and made it her job to get me to a point where I could do self-guided recordings and find sustained relief. Since seeing Tracy, she has continued to send me recordings and I have left with more tools than I received in years of cognitive therapy. I am feeling extremely optimistic about finding mental peace and self-love and I am excited by the prospect of having mechanisms at my fingertips to find ongoing relief. read more

Tracy is amazing! My fiance and I went to see her for private Hypnobirthing sessions. We were planning on a natural birth at a hospital and really liked the idea of Hypnobirthing (well...I liked the idea ;) I got such a good feeling from Tracy when we first talked on the phone to plan out our sessions. She is so calm and confident and so good at what she does. I had been to a couple hypnosis sessions before, but my fiance had not and he was a little nervous about the whole idea. Tracy put him at ease immediately, and we both looked forward to our sessions with Tracy after that first one. We were both sad when they were over! We truly enjoyed our sessions and both felt so calm and relaxed about our upcoming delivery....and in our everyday lives too! And it paid off. We had an amazingly quick delivery without any drugs! I still think about that day and smile...proud that we achieved the birth that we wanted so much. My fiance has since gone to see her to help him with some anxiety with work presentations. It has helped him tremendously too! I have no doubt that Tracy can help anyone work through whatever their issues may be. She is a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend her to anyone! read more
