I've been undergoing Ayurveda recommendations from Raven for over 8 months now, and I wanted to share the changes I've noticed. I can finally sleep!! My entire life I've struggled with sleeping more than 4 to 5 hours a night. I can now sleep 8+ hrs a night with ease I no longer feel nauseous in the mornings and actually eat breakfast daily for the first time in my life. My anxiety has nearly been entirely eradicated. The entirety of the practice is focused around gratitude for everything around you as well as yourself. I have never been at such a level of peace and clarity before, and it has really allowed me to have a straight pathed mind that I can use to move forward and better my life both in and outside of work. I can breathe better (asthma most of my life) than I ever have before after quitting smoking from 15+ years of addiction. No more racing mind, my thoughts are more of a straight path rather than a freeway with a million overpasses. This has provided me a level of peace and collectiveness that I would never have imagined. I ceased my caffeine intake entirely, and have far more consistent energy from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. The food I eat now is fresher and more rejuvenating than any dietary path I've followed prior. I feel healthier and more driven to exercise and better myself. There's a ton more that is a bit difficult to explain, but I strongly encourage everyone to give it a shot and really commit to it, because Raven works wonders and ties together holistic healing with science in a way that I've never seen before. I consider myself to be a healthy person but my wife, being the health fanatic she is, suggested I step it up and try Ayurveda. Hesitant but willing, I started working with Jaclyn. I had my first Ayurveda experience with Jaclyn Andrews and it was really just the perfect intro for me. I wasn't too familiar with it and actually had to google exactly what it meant, but Jaclyn made me feel completely comfortable with my level of knowledge and shared just the right amount during our sessions without overwhelming me. She's patient, funny, and just 'gets it' so I felt like I was seeing someone very much like me vs. a strict doctor telling me exactly what I can and can't do. I was able to tell her all about my life, lifestyle, diet, etc. without judgement so she could make the best recommendations for me. I'm the kind of person that cannot take on 20 new things at one time, so what I really enjoyed about seeing Jaclyn was that she provided me with all the recommendations/options but left it up to me to try out the things when I was ready. I started working with Jaclyn because in recent years I had felt like my body physically had been "breaking down" after too many years in my teens and twenties playing contact sports, and general overtraining in my 30s and 40s. I've had bad knees, back issues, and general soreness and pain in my muscles and joints. I had been cutting way back on my running and tennis, doing more yoga, and seeing a massage therapist regularly. But it felt like this was just slowing down the pain progression, and I wasn't happy about having to reduce my activities. So my original primary motivation was to find ways to ensure I can stay healthy and active well into my 70s and 80s. Jaclyn took the time to understand my motivations, other health issues I've been facing, and recommended a customized Ayurvedic program that she thought could best address my needs. Since I've been working with Jaclyn my body has made an amazing recovery. I can now play tennis 3 days in a row, pain free, and I no longer take Advil afterwards (in fact I have not used Advil at all for pain relief in over 2 months). I no longer wake up in the morning and have trouble getting out of bed, or putting my socks on. I'm more flexible than I've been in years, and have much less pain in my muscles and joints. I feel better rested, I'm digesting food better, and overall feel 20 years younger. The combination of focus on diet, exercise, meditation, herbs/supplements, and sleep/rest is doing amazing things for how I feel. Although I don't believe this is a replacement for traditional (Western) medicine, I do believe after working with Jaclyn that Ayurveda will help me have a better, happier, healthier, more productive quality of life! read more
