He asked what I needed work on, and then assessed it and told me the game plan! He did a great job working on my problem areas. The year of me started early. I have been to many practitioners and different treatment methods to take care of chronic pains on my feet and calves for the past 5 years and nothing really has worked. I decided to try something new - physical therapy with Jerri. I don't know if my number was up but Jerri treated and EDUCATED me on several options and several things worked. The exercises she taught me was painful at first because the muscles in my feet and calves were not being stretched properly. She taught me how to overcome my fears over the exercise (because they were daunting) but they were all in my head. Once I got into a rhythm of doing the stretches. The throbbing leg pains which prevented me from falling asleep started to subside. I am now on week 6 and counting in making a habitual change. I am still chronic-pain free. I attribute this improvement because of Jerri's guidance and knowledge. read more

I have seen Joe and Ingrid for massage and Dr Xu for acupuncture and cupping. I love that you can book online. Whenever I have done so, the individual I made the appointment with has been quick to respond with a personal email (as well as the auto generated one) to introduce themselves and provide clear directions to the location. Dr Xu does aggressive acupuncture (electro acupuncture I believe it is called) which provides a tiny electric pulse through some of the needles. This was extremely effective for my "locked" neck and shoulder as it exhausted the muscles so they could collapse and reset properly. The cupping was amazing and jump started MUCH needed blood flow through the area. Ingrid is my go to massage therapist. She is amazing! I cant begin to explain how much she has helped! Most massages I jaw received are variations on a theme. Ingrid's massages are relaxing yet very firm (as I like) and it really feels like progress is beige made. She also does some amazing stuff to my neck and shoulders that I have never had another massage therapist do - and they are SO effective. She is calm, comforting, and thorough. I can't say enough about West Seattle Wellness. I have been a client for several years. While I loved the convenience of their Junction location I love the layout of their new location in Westwood Village. There is more space and it is very tranquil. I see Ingrid for massages and just love her. I also visit Dr. Xu for acupuncture and she is also great to work with. West Seattle Wellness offers many services and their website is fantastic. I recently had the best massage I've ever had with Phoebe Lind. She is totally amazing. Phoebe has those healing hands you daydream about when your in need of a massage. Seriously, I went in with so much anxiety and muscle pains everywhere, but left feeling totally calm and relaxed. The massage starts with a foot soak and aromatherapy. What more can you ask for before you get the massage? I'm a hard person to get to relax, Phoebe put me at ease and I found myself on the brink of falling asleep just before the massage ended! I found West Seattle Wellness through Yelp and was so glad I did. I unfortunately was recently rear-ended pretty hardly by someone and it'd not be as big of a deal but I was 19 weeks pregnant so that made things a little complicated. I went to a chiropractor and sadly what I was hoping wasn't true was.. I had earned some whiplash. So in addition to getting adjusted a few times a week; the doc was recommending I get 'massage'. Now the first thing that comes to mind is "It's not REAL massage. It's the kind where they work out your kinks and it's going to be painful." So when I booked my appt with Serena last week; I was super nervous. Being pregnant and limited with what I can do as well as having pain it's the hardest two things to deal with. I found the location fine as I used to work out at the 24HR fitness right across the sidewalk. Serena was the only one there and she immediately put me at ease. Not only was she super understanding to me being pregnant but she also happens to specialize in Prenatal Massages. The session was amazing and I felt feeling super relaxed and didn't have pain in my back. Serena was also a great lady to chat with and she really helped me understand prenatal massages and different thing that I can and can't do. Great experience and I'd highly recommend Serena even if you aren't having an insurance claim as she was great and the prices were fair. read more

I'm not one to write reviews but this has been a frustrating experience, waste of time and waste of money. Weeks ago I called to see if my insurance was accepted and to ideally schedule. I was told they didn't know and someone would call me back. I called again an hour later and was told the same thing. No one called me back. Today I am desperate to get in somewhere and being new to the area I don't have a go to place yet. I call again while I am driving back from Canada. They tell me someone will call me back to answer my questions regarding insurance and who I can see for deep tissue. No one calls me back. I call again 20 minutes later, no one calls me back. I stop at a rest stop quickly, attempt to schedule from my phone but have a hard time finding the therapist bio section (for deep tissue) as I know what kind of massage I like. I schedule from my phone just to get on the books, but hoping someone will call soon so I can make sure I schedule with someone who does deep tissue. NO ONE CALLS. I go to my appointment, where my therapist tells me they do deep tissue and I specifically ask for deep tissue, and work to be done on neck/shoulders. Now I have had plenty of massages, and this was NOT deep tissue. I also didn't spend $85 to have someone lightly touch my neck/shoulders for FIVE MINUTES. What a waste of time, money, energy, etc. They didn't offer a bolster for the knees, ask how pressure was, anything..and it might just be me but it's super awkward to be in a massage and be like "excuse can you push on me harder?" Thats why you discuss expectations beforehand. Post massage, I call this answering service again inquiring why no one called me back, now this being the second time! She takes me complaints down and says the manager will call me to discuss my complaints. NO ONE HAS CALLED ME. While I'm sure another therapist might be a better fit, I am reluctant to spend my money on such a poorly run place. I would much rather have my $85 refunded and go elsewhere. I had my first visit at West Seattle Wellness today and it totally made my day. I had a 90-minute massage with Ingrid this morning for a pregnancy massage and I couldn't have asked for a better massage and experience. She walked me through what to expect, since this was my first pregnancy massage. And I felt comfortable and very relaxed the whole 90 minutes. This all was such a disappointing and frustrating experience. I found this place through my insurance page. I booked an appointment with the therapist Janet Hopkins. I saw her maybe about 5-9 times total. At the end of our last visit, she slipped in that my insurance wasn't covering these visits and told me to contact a third party about the bill. Well, the total of the bill was $550. If she would have informed me of that when I gave her my insurance I would not have gone to her. Also, she cancelled on me twice last minute. We had an appointment scheduled for 10am and she called me at like 1 or 2am and left me a message to cancel. Really unprofessional. After I paid the bill (which took days to do since the information she gave me was not correct) it has taken her forever to get back to me about where to send the receipt. She sent it to my old address which is ok since that was what she had on file but when I told her that I do not live there anymore it took about a month and a half for her to send it to the right address. Will not be going back that's for sure. read more

They take my insurance and I am looking forward to trying the other services they offer. I was looking for quality prenatal massage that accepted Group Health billing and found Joe(seph) Bieling through Yelp. He is really good. I've had years of high quality professional massage and have pretty high standards. Joe is really knowledgable, thoughtful, good listener, and his touch is really responsive to your actual needs. I was in a high amount of pregnancy pain and two days after the first massage I could tell what a difference he had made, and after our second massage appointment I couldn't be happier with the results. I started going to Dr.Xu, to get accupunture two months ago, for hormonal and circadian rhythm balance, my menstrual cycle had also been absent due to this. Dr.Xu helped to balance and heal all these ailments, along with working on my sinuses, joints, back, & for a migraine. I have felt happier and more mental balanced after going to Dr.Xu. I started with Chase with massage therapy and she has been great in helping me with my back and leg pains. I can stand a little straighter and my foot is starting to face straight as opposed to the right because of my hip pain. I recently started seeing Dr. Xu for acupuncture and wow what a treat. She starts with moxie while being needled, then there are electrostatic pulses while you just breathe. Afterwards, static cupping. The lightening strike nerve pain in my right thigh has gone away and I am able to sleep at night. Online booking for both and acceptance of my insurance is a big plus. My back pain is very well manage between the two of them for a few days of painless bliss. Being about a mile from my house is an extra bonus. read more

Joe Bielling is a great massage therapist. He has a variety of techniques that he combines to meet whatever need your body has on that day. He has a sensitive yet strong touch and a very kind manner. I had an appointment on 9/26 at 1:30pm with Sarina Moss. After waiting for 10 minutes I was informed that she's running late and no one knew what time she would be there. I was told that they can put me on the massage table until she arrived or someone else could do my massage. I chose to have my massage done by someone else. I was referred to them from my chiropractor and needed additional appointments. I was told that they would contact my insurance company to see if they would cover my services, and told they would call me back. I've never received a call back regarding the insurance, additional appointments or even an apology from Sarina. Joe is hands down the best masseuse I've ever had. I've have had many people over the course of my life(45yrs) work on me. I was and am an athlete so have had ample opportunity for massages. Joe has a great deal of overall knowledge about the body and how all of the muscles and tissues are connected. I have learned a great deal from him. He also helped rehabilitate me from a back injury sustained at work. He seems to know just how much pressure one can take on a given appointment (since each time may be different). He does not however leave you feeling sore from the experience., (like you need a massage to recover from the massage). I recommended Joe to my wife and now she WILL NOT go to another masseuse. I do not recommend. I received a gift card and tried to schedule a massage and most therapists were booked out months in advance or only available in the late afternoon/evening. I called to get advice on who else I could see and was told there wasn't a "live" person to speak to, only the answering center and they had no information/recommendation. They only said they had a "default" massage therapist name and unfortunately this was one of the individuals that was booked out for months. They referred me back to the website for online booking which is where I had originally started. Very frustrating and time-consuming. read more
