Briar is a fantastic massage therapist and I highly recommend the all inclusive package w/ the hot stones and CBD cream. I told them that the massage I had last weekend was just horrible: left me w/ continued aches/sores/tension/knots and it's just getting worse (my back felt hunch over w/ all of the work travels and desk time in the past 4 months). And yes, it's been 4 months since I've seen a massage therapist. The place is humble, super low key, overseeing the marina (windows are tinted and is a one way mirrior film), so no one can look in, but you can look out which is absolutely beautiful. I'd say it's a hidden gem! It won't be as fancy as a hotel spa, but it'll get the job done. You won't be disappointed!

Instead of cancelling the appointment, they double billed be for almost $300 that they can adjust due to their stupid policy. Ananya spa is an example of how dystopian Seattle is with their 20 percent gratuity on all services and a cancellation/ refund policy that is there to hurt their customers. I hate this place and I hope they are forced to close someday The employees are catty women that should have no business in wellness and I hope this business never gets to scam other people in the same way that it ruined my birthday

I'd been carrying heavy loads and traveling and swung one giant suitcase too many onto the conveyor belt which caused extreme pain and stiffness. I woke up one morning unable to move my arm above my head and thats when I went to Deep River Bodyworks. I actually had gone to see other people before, but they didn't really help solve the root of my pain. One session, advice on stretches and I was feeling brand new. The second time I went to see him, today actually, I was experiencing pain in my right hand, right foot (sole) and lower back. I discussed what problems I had, what my past few months were like and 1.5 hours later, the pain is gone. Oh yeah, sure, at first it was intense but over time, it started to feel like stretching and less sore. I walked out without any pain in my right foot, with my hands feeling loss and more importantly, with my lower back feeling actual relief. Twice he's listened and actually worked on the trigger points that cause pain, not necessarily the area where I have pain. He's more than a massage therapist!

I went to Banya 5 for the first time today. They offer a birthday discount so, I was like, why not?…read moreI've been eyeing this place for a hot minute in search of a good steam room. Unfortunately, the temperature was so weak and the steam so scant, that the benefits of a traditional turkish steam bath were essentially non-existent. Very disappointing And because of this, everyone was using the more intense dry sauna, which made for a rather crowded situation. I found the cold plunge pool difficult to egress because there are no steps, only a vertical ladder. My muscles unexpectedly froze-up and I could barely pull myself out. I almost got stuck. Not the best design. I'll stick to the cold waterfall shower in the corner which offers a nice option for anyone who desires a less intense contrast therapy. The best part of my visit today was the welcoming and professional staff, soothing ambiance, thoughtful touches in the locker room (complimentary Q-tips, cotton facial pads, body wash shampoo/conditioner) and courteous patrons - Banya 5 is indeed a very supportive and inclusive environment! They explained everything I needed to know, answered my questions, and gave me a locker key and fresh white towels. A nice young lady at the checkin desk suggested I try sweetening my Market Spice "Breathe Deep" tea in the upstairs tea room with a lovely boysenberry jam. What a great idea and delicious way to finish my session. While there are a few things that could improve, overall this was a clean, welcoming, and unique spa experience in the heart of the city that I hope to return to.
