I saw one of the guy massage practitioners, after receiving an email from the place that he had been returning and did deep tissue massage. I "booked" for deep tissue massage and the massage was obviously was not deep tissue. Or, rather, there were a few minutes out of an hour and the rest was some basic light massage. I know the owner mildy and I am on the email list. I wrote up a potential complaint and I emailed it to the owner. I know the owner mildly because of seeing a previous massage practitioner named Scott who previously worked here/there. (Scott no longer practices at this clinic/office/space.) She called me back, refused to refund any or all of the money I had paid. She said the problem lay with me for not insisting or asking the guy to do deep tissue; she offered to provided me with a discount on a subsequent massage. I declined the offer of another massage . . . Avoid unless you know the person providing the massage or the quality, if you are looking for deep tissue, healing from injury. read more

Tyghe Armstrong is superb in his massage skills. He listens to my needs at the beginning of the session and then addresses those. He will ask for feedback if there are other areas that he identifies during the session. Tyghe provides a deep to very deep massage which is sometimes difficult to find. He is respectful of personal boundaries and very professional in his care. I definitely appreciate having him as my LMT. read more

It was one of the worst massages I've ever had. It was incredibly inconsistent and I felt like I was just getting a cheap massage with a pedicure manicure. I always want to support local business and I've got numerous massages in different places and try to repeat when I'm in the neighborhood or traveling or at home, but I won't ever return to this place again. She was never using enough lotion & or oil so she was constantly dry rubbing my skin. I left feeling worse than when I came in which to be fair I know can happen but I almost just told her to stop halfway through because it just wasn't any good. It was that kind of massage wear when you ask your husband or wife, "can you please rub my shoulders?" And they just roll their thumb around in the same spot to the point where you have to tell them to stop because it actually doesn't feel good was the kind of massage that I just had. Incredibly disappointing considering I met the owner the week before and was really excited to have my appointment. She never introduced herself before she even started and when I went to flip over to be face down she got my hair caught in the neck bolster when she was putting it back on so I had to pull my hair out of the neck bolster after it was already in place. Maybe I just had the wrong person, but I was leaving feeling like I've been sweating in the sun all day. My skin was so sticky and gross feeling from whatever lotion they were using. read more

I wouldn't even give this company one star! I purchased a Groupon they had for three facials in December 2012 as gifts for my mother, sister and niece. I came into the store to pick up actual certificates that were supposed to be put aside at the front desk for me so that I could use them to give to each person. The front desk girl seemed confused and less than happy about having to assist me with getting the certificates. So now three months have passed since I've gifted these facials to my family members, and they have had a horrible time trying to get anyone to answer the phone or respond to a voicemail. My niece was finally able to get an appointment today and upon arrival they told her that her name had been crossed off accidently and they should would have to come another day. The person who answered the phone, "Scott" was less then polite and apologetic about the mistake. I actually tried to call today to inform them of my dissatisfaction, but of course; no answer... Pretty disappointing when you buy gifts for people and they get screwed.... Already contacted Groupon for my refund for their lack of professionalism and service. What a waste... read more

I came here for a set of eyelashes from Angela. I was late for my appointment, but she was able to take me anyway and did a fantastic job on my lashes. She offered to redo my set at a reduced price in a week since I got really super long set for an upcoming photo shoot. We had a nice time and she even asked me for a photo from my shoot that she could use for her portfolio. I stuck around and chatted with Shari and bought a few things from the shop before I left. And then. I tried for a few days to get in touch with Angela to redo my extensions - they are too long, starting to get wonky, and I'm getting married in a week. I got her on the phone and she said she didn't have her calendar with her so would call me back the next day. It was kind of weird, and I don't think she remembered me - she kept talking about how I bought a fill with my groupon (I didn't), and well, like I said, it was weird. And then I got this via text 5 minutes later: "I did your full set, and won't be doing your fill! You can text me your address and I will mail you a partial refund. I want you to know you were extremely rude to me and I am refusing you service. Maybe you will think twice before talking down to people next time! And you were 26 minutes late. Goodbye." I texted her back: "Wow! I think you have me confused with someone else. I enjoyed my lashes and got tons of compliments on them. Please don't worry about any refund. Have a good day :-)" No reply. So here I am, with eyelash extensions I can't remove on my own, a week before my wedding, blah blah blah. Scott and Sherrie (??? I should have grabbed a card - I don't know if I'm spelling her name correctly) opened this place up October 2011, but have been renovating the place so it wasn't really available until this spring (2012). My husband and I did a Living Socials deal on it (which I found out is a 60/40 split - holy cheese!) and we both really loved our experiences. We've been to different massage therapists here in Washington and also in southern California, and I can honestly say that Sherrie and Scott were some of the most down-to-earth, calming personalities I've ever personally experienced. The place is small and unnoticeable, but I loved these two. And I also love the fact they have all kinds of little things for you to buy there: from the lotions they used during your therapy, to essential oils, to soaps to a "lotion bar" (you can customize your own lotion by using oils and scented oils - really fun!). Sherrie taught me some things I can do at home to relieve some stress at home, and even gave me some recommendations on what I can use to make my skin smoother. What a friendly gal! I just loved her and she has some very strong hands! I highly recommend this place and when I come back to WA, I definitely will go back to Scott and Sherrie again. read more

These gals are highly trained massage therapists. They know their stuff, they know how to find the knots and work them out. My boyfriend and I have both received a massage here and enjoyed it thoroughly! I'm super picky about Massage too. I've been in the industry for almost 20 years and I receive massage from the best. If you value your time, do yourself a favor and schedule your massage appointment elsewhere. I made appointments through the Three Tree Wellness Center website twice, and both times my therapist was a no show. The first time the whole building was locked. The second time, the massage therapist called only after I arrived to explain that there was scheduling mix-up. Why bother having an online scheduling system if it doesn't work?! It is baffling to me and, needless to say, I will not be giving them another chance. read more

I took my boyfriend here today for his birthday. We had a couple's massage and it was great! Sherry greeted us very warmly and ended up working on me. Scott worked on my boyfriend (deep tissue). My bf is a muscular guy and has some back issues so he needs strong hands. He said Scott really dug into his back and loosened everything up. Sherry was great, too. She has a softer, more relaxing touch. They were both so friendly, warm and professional. They also have lots of oils, sea salts and goodies to buy. This is a superb business in downtown Burien. They do massage, organic facials and sell lots of lotions (my favorite is Somber - an organic muscle lotion). Scott does terrific deep tissue massage and his partner Sheri does the lighter massages. Please note: There was a person at the salon named Angela who sold her services through Groupon. She did a great facial and then one day in April 2012 she just stopped showing up to work. She had sold many people her services in advance and then disappeared. The salon was apologetic and helped recoup some of my loss (I had bought 5 facials in advance).. I got one facial refunded through Groupon and I will have to go to small claims court for the $200 that Angela owes me. read more

There is only one word for Three Tree Wellness Center: "Relaaaaax" After an hour massage and an hour facial I was a melting puddle of happiness. I especially appreciate that they will use fragrance-free products if you request it. For a fragrance free facial, tell them when you book the appointment. The esthetician mixes her own facial treatments from natural ingredients ahead of time. This place isn't a swanky, professionally decorated spa. What it IS is a local small business that gives heavenly service for an excellent price. I'm happy, happy, happy with this day spa. read more

I bought a groupon for a one hour relaxation massage. I went in yesterday for my massage and Celeste was my masseuse. She was nice and professional and did a great job getting some of the tension out of my neck and my back. I would definitely go to her again. My only thing was that there were no relaxing scents/oils in the room (I.E. Lavender, mint, etc) but it was still a relaxing experience. I had originally made my appt for a few weeks ago and as I was leaving my place, the owner Scott called me to inform me that the masseuse that day was sadly a no show but he was more than happy to reschedule me and honor any deal I had. Which was I thought was nice, plus I was called instead of driving out and finding out that way. My reasoning for only giving 4 stars was because of the girl that I believe She was sitting on her phone and a calculator and just seemed unhappy to be there. Also when I left she barely seemed to acknowledge me. Usually the person running the front desk is your first impression of an establishment. Needless to say, I was un-impressed at first but glad that after meeting Scott and Celeste my mind was changed. read more

I first found Three Tree Wellness during the Burien Strawberry Festival in June. I got a free chair massage from Scott. It made me want to come back and try a table massage with him. I wasn't disappointed. He does great deep tissue work and I think he does other modalities too. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend him. read more

I got the 5-visit spa package for their anniversary and I have to say I was impressed. I went for a facial, a back facial, a reiki energy session, a foot massage, and a back massage. They offered me either tea or water almost every time I came and they completed the services efficiently and professionally. What really struck me, though, is that they remembered that it was my birthday on one of the visits and had a gift bag full of little goodies waiting for me! read more

I found this little gem through Living Social and I will definitely be back. They were very friendly and I was very happy with my massage.
