Hi all, I lost 4-5 massages in my membership because I didn't realize I needed to use them within two months of cancelling a membership. The info was buried in an email message. I found out when I went in two weeks after the cutoff. Before I canceled, I wrote to the owner to say I was going to reinstate my membership after using my unused massages. I wrote to the owner to see if something could be done. Basically, no. Not even, "I am so sorry you didn't understand that was our policy. I can credit you one massage, or if you join again, you can use those." To follow up, I called my former massage place in West Seattle, and they told me I had a massage credit from a few years ago. My visit to Blissful Knead reenforced the fact that I need to do better at listening to my body. After working from home for months without a great setup and generally being a tense/anxious person, my dull back aches spread upwards to my shoulders and finally, I decided to get some help. Booking an appointment was super easy and the times were great to work with. I booked 60 mins with Chanel and OMG do I feel so much better now. I've only gotten massages per corporate work events so I still felt pretty new to the concept. Chanel was super sweet and made me feel at home. I asked for just upper body and felt a lot of tension go away during the massage but I really felt the effects the day after. Previously, I was really restless at night and constantly trying to alleviate my backaches but I slept like a BABY after my massage. She said she was surprised at how tense I was given how young I am which doesn't surprise me at all, knowing how I am lol. Highly recommend Blissful Knead and Chanel for massages. I went to Blissful Knead on a whim; made a reservation online the evening before. I have heard from friends that they do a good job, but never discussed particulars. There were many options online for time and therapist. I chose KC because she had an opening at 10am and I wanted to go early. My first impression walking into the spa was that it felt cluttered. There is a lot of merchandise in the reception area. The receptionist was very nice. I filled out a page long form about myself and then waited on a sofa for about 5 minutes for my therapist to come out. KC was courteous, but not friendly. There was basically not talk, she didn't even check in with me about pressure. After the massage, she left the room and that was it. She didn't check to see how I felt, offer me water, etc. I'm used to a little more hospitality when I get a massage. The massage itself was good. Good pressure and KC was good at draping. She definitely knows what she's doing. I would have liked more pressure in some places, but it was good overall. I will likely go back to Blissful Knead. I might try a different massage therapist. The other ones I saw while waiting for mine seemed a little more hospitable than the one I had. I think I would have a better experience with someone just slightly friendlier. read more

I'm walking on sunshine.....whoaaaaoa. Wow, just wow! After months of working from and avoiding my back pain, I decided to splurge on a massage. I have to say I feel amazing as I write this. All the kinks and soreness have all but gone away. I highly recommend Beaux. She has a great calming energy and really wants to take care of her clients. Plus I love her sense of humor. This massage place had replied back to my question on Yelp. The owner had answered my call around 10pm. I made a reservation for 3 massages for that weekend. The massages were really relaxing. Each massage therapists was accommodating. I prefer medium pressure, my mom likes medium to high and my aunt prefers light to medium. In addition, I had initially booked the appointment for my sister but she was unable to attend it. So they accommodated by letting me take her appointment the morning of the appointment. Each room is large and exactly how it looks like in the pictures on their account. The owners are opening another location in Seattle. I am excited to have another location of their's. Lovely massage studio in a great location in Burien, just minutes from my house this may just be my new go to deep tissue massage spot. I met the friendly owner and learned they have 2 locations. I'd love to check out some of the other services they offer. They also have a monthly membership that you can pay less for your massages. I think 90 minutes is a great time frame if you have chronic pain issues. Nothing fancy or extra about this studio, it's very simplistic but yet calming and peaceful. The rooms are private and comfortable but again nothing but a mirror on the wall. They did have soft music playing which was nice! Okay, I see reviews for facials, facials, facials. I'm a non conformist and got the 90 minute massage for my birthday from Angela. It starts with a warm welcome by name as you get to your appointment, a complementary water or sparkling wine and a quick one page questionnaire so come early. I found the atmosphere relaxing and everything is clean and tidy with some calming background music. The massage therapist will ask you about what you like and what you don't like to tailor the massage to your needs; for me the harder the better. The massage starts with you laying on your stomach and getting a full back and leg massage that can range from relaxing to therapeutic deep tissue depending on what you prefer. I get the deep tissue massage where all those knots are found and massaged away; hurts in a good way. After about 1/2 the time you flip on your back and get the same treatment ending with your arms (if you ask) and then a neck and head massage (if time allows). With a 90 minute massage I'm half asleep toward the end and very relaxed. I end up hanging out a while afterward and drink water or have a glass of wine and chat it up with Monty (owner). Since my first massage, I've ended up getting a package of 5 massages with Angela and come back about once a month for the 90 minute massage so there's plenty of time to work on my lower back and legs which seem to need some work. read more

Just had the most amazing 90 min massage from Nevin Hair! If you like deep tissue, have a pain you just can not shack this guy has the magic touch. He worked on all my major problem areas. I could feel the energy rush through my body every time something released. He was easy to talk with and listened. Everyone who works there was very friendly. Oh my god. Joanna, thank you for giving me the BEST massage of my life! I used to get massages often at other places and I have specific spots that are frequent problem areas since I'm sitting down doing repetitive motion 15 hours of each weekday. Joanna was very intuitive & worked the knots in those areas and I didn't even need to be too specific at which spots they are. Perfect deep pressure because I like them to really get in there and work the knots. I paid for a 90-min massage which can be quite spendy, but I definitely will be coming back when I feel like treating myself. The lobby is very clean and well organized with a variety of products . The receptionist was friendly and helpful as well. Gary is by far the best massage practitioner I have ever had and I've had a few turns around this earth and a lot of massages. He has a knack for finding every little tight spot and expertly releases it. If you can afford the 90 minutes, you will definitely get blissed out, also the 60 minute treatment is still amazing. He is truly that good. My husband is very very happy with Tessie and is always amazed how strong she is when need be considering she is well like me, vertically challenged. This location has given the best massages I have ever received. I threw out my back while building a deck the week before me wedding. It was so terribly painful, I couldn't even walk right. I explained my injury to my massage therapist, Eric, and he and I did some pre massage exercises and stretches as he knew it was important I walked down my aisle rather than gobble down it. It worked! Immediately after my session, I could walk just fine and have continued to do the stretches and exercises he showed me which were convenient because I could do them from home. I had the first good night sleep I had had all week and my mobility increased by the tons. I was recommended by my mom and will absolutely be revisiting this location. I happened to run into the owner after my session and we chatted for a while about their business plans and their growth. Today had my second massage here and this place does not let you down. The massage therapists are professional and they know what they are doing. My first experience I left lighter and extremely relaxed. My second experience I definitely was relaxed but I felt educated about my body and what was happening. It was a therapeutic target at massage and exactly the areas I needed. She gets in there like no one ever has. This is possibly one of the best massages I have had in my entire life! Leo saved my life ! After having my first massage he noticed that I had a possible nerve damage issue in my legs. I had it checked and turns out I could have possibly had permanent neuropathy.
