Ask the Community - Pinnacle Integrative Health

Are there people I can contact who have had stem cell therapy for arthritic neck pain at Pinnacle?

Hi Joan, Our website has some testimonials and we can also email you links of more testimonials of success stories if you would provide your email address. It has the potential to heal arthritis in the neck but we always need to do an examination…

Have you experienced extreme pain having an IUD installed? PLEASE go to this facility if you'd like…read moreto be on anesthesia for an IUD procedure. The anesthesia will very likely be out of pocket cost, but it was worth every penny! Now for the rest of my review: After experiencing horrendous care at other OBGYN facilities in my more local area, I was first terrified to change to this location for an IUD procedure but I was recommended it by a friend. The doctor called me ahead of my procedure to answer any questions and he was super kind over the phone making me feel so much more comfortable. Day of the procedure there was a bit of a wait as it was filled with appointments. But the waiting room was nice as we all got to watch a Netflix show to pass the time. Once I was called in, the staff were very nice and very efficient to get me ready. And the anesthesiologist was so funny my nerves were completely settled before they put me under. Next I remember being fully dressed and they guided me to a low lit room with comfortable recliners that had such a peaceful ambience. The nurses were kind to answer my questions I had about how the procedure went while I was in that room which was promptly followed by the doctor who did my procedure. She came in to ask how I felt and how I was doing and I just felt an overwhelming sense of care and compassion at this facility that I've never experienced before anywhere else in medical care, I nearly cried from how happy I was. (That could have also been the after effects of the anesthesia but the emotions were still genuine). I was sent home with a little bag of overnight pads and information on my IUD device. My pain levels after never got above a 2/10, and they sent me home with a pain meds prescription for the following few days to address any cramping I might feel. I cannot put into words how thankful I am to this facility, the staff, and the doctors that made my experience here incredible, and comfortable, and safe. I don't care how long of a drive it is for me, I will always only go to this place for OBGYN needs in the future.

I received the best card ever. At first I was so nervous going in. The medical staff told me that I…read moream going to be fine and all of them were really nice and sweet.

Even though I have been very satisfied (to say the least) with this clinic and its staff since the…read moreday I walked through their doors in late 2018, I wanted to wait until I had my baby girl in my arms to write this review and tell everyone just how amazing they are! I made embryos at nearly 40 years old in 2019, had a successful transfer in Sept 2021 (after a break between making embryos and transfer to get married!), and delivered my perfect healthy baby girl in June 2022 after an amazing 41 weeks of pregnancy and just after my 43rd birthday. I cannot say enough about this clinic but this result is truly because I found them... they are caring, smart, clever, diligent, honest, hardworking and just all around some of my favorite people in the world. Jo, Dr, Johnson's right hand (he will tell you this!) answered my emails morning, noon, and night every day of the week whenever I needed her. I actually looked forward to my appointments just so I could see and talk with her! Dr. Johnson is, of course, a talented fertility doc, but also absolutely hilarious... he will take an emotionally challenging situation and still bring a smile to your face. Dr. Rehman is also wonderful and always makes you feel cared for and important to the clinic and their success. And let's not forget Julie at the front desk, who always welcomed me with a warm smile; she will make you feel welcomed and not like just another patient or statistic. There are too many great people to list here! But back to the little one I now have because of all of them. That's right, I had my healthy perfect baby girl at 43! This is after I clearly waited until the 11th hour to make this dream come true. I would certainly do everything exactly the same if to do it again... with this clinic and turning it over to their expertise, as they truly have the most of any clinic out there. I could ramble all day long about how much I love them. Thank you to Overlake for my baby girl. And for all the support, kindness, and even the laughs along the way. I truly am grateful and encourage anyone out there exploring IVF to take the journey with Overlake Reproductive.

They may be merging with Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine, but that does NOT mean they are…read morethe same quality. As prior patients with CCRM, we anticipated similar care with Overlake, that was not the case. I'm shocked CCRM agreed to let Overlake dilute their brand. Overlake has their own protocols that are DIFFERENT than CCRM, and are not aligned with the standard of care for IVF treatment. Overlake failed to administer a standard medication leading up to one of our attempts, and even after repeated discussions did not admit to the omission. Fertility can be confusing, and it is our experience that fertility clinics may lack the best bedside manner, however a clinic cannot be both challenging to communicate with AND be inattentive to the details of such a precise endeavor. If you are considering Overlake based on their association with CCRM, I would caution to reevaluate.

Was excited about this place because it had so many great reviews but I wish I would of payed more…read moreattention to the bad ones too... This isn't entirely their fault but I really wish it was more normalized to ask if it's ok to have a doctor of the opposite sex for your reproductive health care. Because I was uncomfortable to be thrown into a room for my consult with a male doctor. Not his fault, he was great and very professional... I just personally have a huge trauma issue with it and I would of appreciated being asked first out of curtesy because I'm sure there's millions of other woman with this request as well. Even though the male doctor I had was professional and very knowledgeable on everything... I told him twice I did not want to proceed with any treatment or testing at this time. And that my husband and I want to focus on his testing first as it was much easier and cheaper to do for now. But regardless of being asked twice in person, I was also email about it twice. Feels very pushy and weird. After my husband had his tests done it took 2.5 weeks, 4-5 phone unanswered phone calls, 2 voicemails and 1 portal message to get a response.... Absolutely not ok. And finally when they did upload his results to the portal (which is horrible to navigate btw)... it gave very vague information to where they told him he had to come in and make another appointment just for them to explain that he was fine.... Overall: - The client portal is so hard to use and not helpful at all. - the environment for me felt pushy and disrespectful - the communication between staff and client is HORRIBLE - completely disorganized staff This is a very vulnerable field of medicine. And as the client you HAVE to feel safe and comfortable with all the things that go along with fertility and reproductive care.... At the end of the day I did not feel that even slightly. Will not ever go back to them.

I had surgery with Dr Winner two years ago. She discovered stage 4 endometriosis and I had a…read morehysterectomy and endo excision. Recovery was easy, she is very skilled, and I felt safe in her care. I still see pelvic floor PT occasionally to deal with pain/scarring, but my pain is a tiny fraction of what it was. She changed my life. Thanks doc.

After five years, fibroids regrew--which is not uncommon. I went in for imaging every 10 months or…read moreso to keep track of fibroid growth and I'm glad I did. Around the five year mark, they found adenomyosis, which is a common side effect of any gynecological surgery. It appeared on my surgical sites. This isn't the doctor's fault, but it's useful to know and to get imaging for it in the years after surgery. Problem is, when I went back to Dr Winner about a 2nd myomectomy, she encouraged me to do the myomectomy--which could have further increased my Adenomyosis issue. Mine was caused by surgery. The risk of more Adenomyosis was high with another myomectomy. Also, the iron testing she does before surgery is very general--I was anemic (at 24) when her test said my iron was fine. The Adenomyosis was making me anemic (it bizarrely hoards iron in the uterus). At no point did doctor winner advise me that there were other options for treating the Adenomyosis, like HIFU and UAE--both don't require traditional surgery and have great results for fibroids and Adenomyosis while preserving the uterus and eliminating the other health issues from Adenomyosis. This isn't fair to patients. I don't regret my 2020 surgery with Dr. Winner at all, myomectomy was my only choice with a massive fibroid and Winner was 100% the right choice. But when I complained of surgical site pain at my belly button, she didn't inform me that this could be a common side effect of the surgery where bits of endometrial lining could be accidentally left there--causing, essentially, endometriosis. There are interventional radiology treatments that are outpatient for this common side effect. Finding out that crucial context on my conditions had been left out by Dr. Winner in consultations was... not trust building. Dr. Winner should give patients more well rounded advice even if it means they don't choose surgery with her. She's amazing at getting big fibroids out with virtually no scars, doing endo excision, etc., but if you have post surgical issues or adenomyosis or fibroids that are 5-7cm and under, you may want to seek other consultations with interventional radiologists. Ultimately, I traveled to another state to get uterine artery embolization to kill off the fibroids and adenomyosis, which is performed through a single vein. No scars, no need for healing up my abdominal wall, and very little risk of causing more adenomyosis. 1.5 months out, my stomach has shrunk, my inflammation is down, my cycles are cycling and I feel great. I'll go in for cryo treatment of the belly button endo soon. --But I had to do extensive research and find other options all on my own. It would've been the kind thing to do to refer me to other practitioners so I could get the results I needed--elimination of adenomyosis and reducing risk of more adenomyosis sites.
