I was having some resurgent trauma-related problems from being assaulted in the past and was seeking guidance through them. Calling to set up an appointment was straightforward, I had read the online profiles of the professionals and asked if I could see someone in particular (as of writing this review on Saturday 17 June 2023, the person is no longer listed as working at Bluestone). After describing my situation to the receptionist, they said that it sounded like the person I was requesting could be a good fit. So we scheduled an intake appointment in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the first appointment we set up weekly sessions thereafter until I was feeling confident enough to part ways with the therapy about two months later. I received a bit of talk and EMDR therapy in my sessions. The therapist was never short with me and I found the treatment effective for helping me work through my problems. She was professional in our sessions and never prying. I have continued to use some of the things I learned in the sessions after stopping the therapy sessions.

I felt that she was very impersonal and straight to the point. I never felt that much compassion from her. In addition, I felt that she did not have great bedside manner or manners with me at all. I felt her customer service to me was not that great. I had to cancel at the last minute a couple of times due to an emergency, and the practice and Dr. Peng told me they had to charge me a fee. Bluestone showed me no mercy, and Dr. Peng did not seem to show me any either. I felt that she also did not properly understand my conditions either. I also didn't like that when I made no follow up appointments with her that Dr. Peng reached out to me multiple times and asked me if I was interested in continuing with her. Well obviously, if I have not called you or made an appointment with the practice in months, it's evident I am no longer interested. In the end, I am glad I left. I would not recommend this practice or Dr. Peng at all. In my opinion, they have no understanding for when life situations come up and I did not feel there was good communication or compassion towards patients either by either Dr. Peng or the staff of bluestone.

This review is intended for a parent looking at this place as an option to assist your child in…read moreDisordered Eating Treatment. RUN!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! This place is not the place, unfortunately, WA state does not have quality resources for your child with ED. I recommend looking at the Varitas Collaborative (any location) or Eating Recovery IN DENVER (NOT the local Bellevue location). Center For Discovery has a very high turnover rate of its employees, so much so that their website is rarely up to date. This is a red flag. In order to find out who may be at the facility at the same time as your child, the best but not complete resource will be a LinkedIn search! When searching employees of CFD you will notice a pattern of them hiring brand new graduates of therapy to be a lead therapist. In my personal experience, we were assigned a therapist as her very first clients and it did not go well. ED is a very complex mental health diagnosis and a fresh-eyed 20-year-old does not have the needed experience to treat such a complex case. On top of that, there was no supervision of this fresh therapist until I requested it, and then it was only for show. I later found out that despite asking for my child to have a different therapist and CFD said they would... that they only provided the more experienced therapist to do the family sessions while telling me my child was seeing them as well, I did not find out until months later that my child still saw the unqualified new therapist that I had requested NOT to be over their care. We are still undoing the damage this young therapist caused. Additionally, once my child was admitted to CFD Edmunds it became very apparent I had made a mistake. In the chaotic world of finding an open bed and not wanting to go out of state right off the bat, I took the open bed at Edmunds, thinking if the warnings I had received were accurate that I could simply transfer to another facility. CFD Edmunds did everything they could to block a transfer from happening, they lied and denied sending records to the other facilities I wanted to transfer to. They did not have my child's heath as a primary concern, just their own pride and financial pockets. DO NOT SEND YOU CHILD TO THIS PLACE!

Unfortunately this same son brought a virus home from school, so we had to cancel an appointment for him. A week later, myself and my less than 3 month old also got this virus. I was incredibly sick, but we were truly trying to make the appointment happen because they are so important to my son. When I was not even able to care for myself, my husband made the call to cancel. I spent the night in the hospital. The next day I receive an email from the business office telling me they are charging me $85 for cancelling the appointment. I can discuss this with the therapist, but only at the next appointment where I'm required to make a payment in order to keep it. I replied to them and told them I want nothing to do with a business who functions this way and to cancel future appointments. In the end they waved the $85 charge and removed all of the appointments. I'm beyond angry that we now have to find a new therapist, reestablish rapport and trust, and start all over again. You would think a company who sees children would be more understanding of illnesses, and realize that illnesses happen in both children and the parents. This policy would force people to bring so many illnesses into an office place to avoid being charged $85 every single time. I can't imagine the amount of illnesses that will be spread as we get further into cold and flu season. I clearly should have vetted this company better and would encourage anyone else to do the same.

Nothing wrong with being a nurse practitioner, but it is a bit misleading to call yourself "Dr." in a medical setting, if you aren't one. I am not a high-maintenance patient; I go to the Dr. for my annual exam and an occasional illness, but that's about it. I do take a prescription for sleep (that I have taken for over 14 years. Dr. Deonne's office could not seem to manage the monthly refills for this prescription. While my previous Dr (before I moved here) used to call in 6 months worth of refills of this prescription Dr. Deonne would only call in 1-3 months at a time, and demanded that I be seen several times a year before whe would call in a refill. Please note that I said 1-3 months... that's because the # of refills varied from refill to refill. On four seperate occasions during the one year that I was a patient there, I had to call the office several times in order to get my prescription refilled. While I understand that refilling a monthly prescription does not generate revenue for the "Dr.," it goes with the job to do so. Yet each time I had to call (because they claimed the had not gotten the fax from my QFC pharmacy), I felt as though I was a huge burden to the office. Was Deonne competent? I think so. I did not feel unsafe there. She was quite thorough in her exams and testing, but I felt that all of the follow-up appointments she required were simply so she could bill my insurance for another office visit. It must be difficult for such a small office to make it financially, especially since they are only in the office on Mon/Wed/Fri, but only providing good service when there is potential gain may be one of the reasons that she isn't busy. And now it seems there website is not working... End Note: I found a new Dr,, and she was happy to call in six months worth of refills on my sleepy pill prscription after my new patient exam. No strings attached. :-)

The specialists all give her high marks and she is recognized as a skilled, learned professional. I have been her patient for over 4 years. She takes care of my routine exams and those sessions that require deeper research. When I complained about a constant, persistent pain, she believed me. Even though nothing could be found on Cat scans or MRIs. She sent me to a specialist because she believed and I wound up having emergency surgery. When I had an aneurysm 2 years ago, the emergency doctors wanted to know my medications. My friends placed a call and within an hour she had called back and they knew my list of medications and what they were for. She is a very nice lady because the first time I met her, I was mean and ugly during a manic phase of my Bi-polar illness. When I saw her a year later, she was a class act and never mentioned that incident. Because she does have a small practice, I can always get an appointment. "Dr. Deonne" is the Best. She will continue to be my Primary Care Provider.
