Tech and Nursing needs more organizing. Some nurses know what is happening while others are stepping in, perhaps for the day, and are unsure what has been documented and not. Techs have good intentions, however communication and consistency is lacking. Odds are this is due to those who oversee the departments providing lack of funding. Overall a wonderful place to start recovery.

I was having some resurgent trauma-related problems from being assaulted in the past and was seeking guidance through them. Calling to set up an appointment was straightforward, I had read the online profiles of the professionals and asked if I could see someone in particular (as of writing this review on Saturday 17 June 2023, the person is no longer listed as working at Bluestone). After describing my situation to the receptionist, they said that it sounded like the person I was requesting could be a good fit. So we scheduled an intake appointment in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the first appointment we set up weekly sessions thereafter until I was feeling confident enough to part ways with the therapy about two months later. I received a bit of talk and EMDR therapy in my sessions. The therapist was never short with me and I found the treatment effective for helping me work through my problems. She was professional in our sessions and never prying. I have continued to use some of the things I learned in the sessions after stopping the therapy sessions.

I felt that she was very impersonal and straight to the point. I never felt that much compassion from her. In addition, I felt that she did not have great bedside manner or manners with me at all. I felt her customer service to me was not that great. I had to cancel at the last minute a couple of times due to an emergency, and the practice and Dr. Peng told me they had to charge me a fee. Bluestone showed me no mercy, and Dr. Peng did not seem to show me any either. I felt that she also did not properly understand my conditions either. I also didn't like that when I made no follow up appointments with her that Dr. Peng reached out to me multiple times and asked me if I was interested in continuing with her. Well obviously, if I have not called you or made an appointment with the practice in months, it's evident I am no longer interested. In the end, I am glad I left. I would not recommend this practice or Dr. Peng at all. In my opinion, they have no understanding for when life situations come up and I did not feel there was good communication or compassion towards patients either by either Dr. Peng or the staff of bluestone.

Chuck is so sweet and nice to my son. we have been to the different services before and we didn't satisfy. Chuck has the way to talk to my son in the way that kids could understand. My son is really enjoying seeing him. Every week he would so excited to go meet with Chuck. Wishes for a while he didn't want to go see counselor because they didn't understand him. I am feeling bless to have Chuck and the team to give a care for my little guy. Thank you so much Mill Creek Family services.

Update: I recently received and read my clinical records. Having time away, and seeing those…read morerecords, made things clear to me. When things got heavy, he seemed to panic. He kept wanting me to reframe my thoughts instead of actually meeting me where I was. It felt like he didn't know what to do with trauma. And reading his notes, I was struck by how much more focused they seemed on defending himself than on supporting me or taking any real accountability. If you need someone steady who won't flinch when things get hard, look elsewhere.

"Team" approach is fine except it doesn't seem like there's good communication about treatment plans for congruent care. Start with a PT and get handed off mid appointment. Today I wasn't even told. My PT just started working with someone new right beside me, when a PT assistant came up and told me to do a stretch I had already done earlier. Today received 40 mins of attention. Received a nice 5 min or so massage to loosen sore area. Then 4 exercises (ones prescribed to do at home) and 1 stretch. And that was it! Reading through BBB I am scared to see the billing experience I find reported on BBB. I called after my last appointment to cancel all future appointments. And today, if I could refuse payment, I would. Today was absolutely worthless. Giving 1 star but honestly less. They are nice people. But this is not the care I expect.

My mother was diagnosed with a very rare bacterial infection. She had surgery that removed most of…read moreher heel bone to eradicate the infection. Her post op care required a wound vac and a facility that was equipped to change it out every 3 days. This facility came up as qualified for this specific care. They approved the care order. After being there for a week, my mother's wound vac hadn't been changed and when I called to find out what was going on , I was told Benito was the only one trained to switch it out and he didn't work weekends. Left early for an "emergency" This was a Friday night. It should have already been switched out by this point I called and made a fuss. This care is the difference between keeping or losing her leg. Benito came back in on his day off to do the required care we paid for. When he went to change the vac out he ripped the bandage off my mother's open wound and caused tremendous pain. So much so my mom too afraid to let the staff know when she was having any discomfort. After that incident they were cold and distant with her and rude with me when I visited. She came home before she was ready because we were both concerned about elderly abuse. I would like to think anyone in this profession would treat people the way they would want their parents to be treated. Amazingly after this incident , they had another nurse do wound vac changes. Today we received a $3000 bill after being told her stay was covered by insurance. No itemized charges. Just 3/1 and cost of service. From the facility.

However, I have learned that it is challenging to know what to expect, and find good resources, so I felt like leaving a review might at least be helpful to some... The location itself not on a busy street, the parking could use improvement, however, there is some in the back. I do think the staff here is efficient and they were very responsive to phone calls and questions and coming in for a tour. During the tour I was able to ask any questions that I wanted to, and was able to understand clearly Aryana's responses. The way that this location is set up, included a short term, hallway, and a long-term hallway, the cleanliness of the areas were pretty good, and the overall facility did show a movie area, and boardgame area. I don't expect any location to be perfect, I did see a lot of seemingly happy family members visiting there, family while passing through the hallways... There was one spot that smelt of urine, but perhaps that was being addressed. Overall, I think if you are looking for someplace that your family needs to stay at, this is a good spot to begin your tour, and see.

After researching many facilities, we chose Park Ridge based on its high ratings and preferable North Seattle location, closer to family who would be supporting her. It's not much on the outside -- wedged between an auto body shop and a taco truck, on a busy street corner -- but you shouldn't judge this book by its cover. The staff at Park Ridge are very attentive and caring, including doctors, social workers, nurses, therapists, etc. My mother is gluten-free and struggled for a week or so to get her diet right -- the food manager finally took over her meal preparations himself, so that he could personally guarantee that her meals were free of allergens. Therapists walked her across the street to QFC to buy snacks, and helped her get back on her feet. She recently checked out about a month ahead of schedule, and is doing great. No long-term care facility is a particularly happy place, or someplace you want to find yourself for an extended period of time. But if you have a loved one who needs care, you'll get a high quality of service at Park Ridge.

I was apprehensive about this process, and I can't believe how fortunate and relieved I was to have met Colleen: she is an absolute gem. Colleen is a very seasoned, highly skilled, and compassionate therapist. I've seen a few therapists over the years; what really stands out about Colleen is that she has been so adept at helping me hone in on core issues, and has taught me how to maintain focus on these core issues. I walk out of our sessions motivated to tackle difficult things. I'm frankly surprised at the pace of my progress. Time with Colleen is absolutely time well spent. Thank you!

I can assure you and those reading this that the subject of our conversation was not suicide and that you did not provide direction and feedback based on this subject. My suggestion that you take a leave of absence to deal with your own life vs. attempt to guide others through theirs was met with a flippant 'That's not an option as I'm the sold breadwinner'.
