I finally decided to see if having LASIK would be an option for me . Sadly it is not due to my crappy eyes . However I did get a free consultation and a suggestion of going to see an opthalmologist. They were so friendly and helpful from the men at reception to the tech that did a lot of the screening before I saw the Dr. She was also very friendly. I am VERY satisfied with the final product. However, the process was not as smoothed as would like to. 1. My 1st appointment was Dec 21, 2023. 2. They told me to wsit until January 2024 if I wanted new frames, because my insurance only pay for new frames every two years. They did not explain that I could just have new lenses with the same old frames. 3. I returned on Jan 3, 2024 and complete the process, paying over 200 just as copayment. I have no problem with this, but... I waited, and waited to be called or to receive a text message to go pick up my new eyeglasses. I left two voice mails asking for my glasses. Unfortunately, noone returned my call. Today, Saturday January 27, 2024, I decided to go and ask for my glasses. The two people there were not very understanding. They looked at me like I was wrong. They kept saying that is not their store, like that would somehow makes my problem lesser. They said the system sent me a text message on Jan 10. I showed them I did not received the message. I had to convince her I really did not receive the message, and I insisted to them to please check why I did not receive the message. Finally, she checked and we saw they sent the message to my son son, who is my authorized health info recipient. I recommend them to believe their patients. Most people have a life and other things to do on Saturday to go find out what happened to their already paid glasses. I also recommend they respond to their phone calls. They finally hand me my glasses, which are wonderful, but, like I said, the process should be more efficient. Thanks, I love my glasses. read more

I've been meaning to get LASIK done since the end of last year. Researched a few options in Kentucky and set up my free consultation with LasikPlus mid Jan. They ran a few tests, the consultation lasted for over an hour and by the end of it, I was offered two options of laser with different warranty lengths. I was also told I could set up interest free payment through CareCredit over a period of 12 months. Scarlett and Amy were super nice and Dr. Smith patiently answered all my questions. After I scheduled my Lasik, I was sent emails with videos that were very descriptive (with post op instructions as well) and informative and put me quite at ease. I got my procedure done on the 2nd of Feb, it was when I met Dr. Greenberg for the first time. First, they rechecked my prescription, made me sign consent forms and gave me a sedative, Valium. Then Dr. Greenberg sat with me just before the procedure to clear any last doubts. I was in the procedure room for exactly ten minutes. The actual laser part only lasted a few seconds. The only discomfort I felt was the pressure when they created the corneal flap. But, I was prepared for it from the videos earlier and also, they kept counting everything down, so I felt it went by quickly. It was done and I was given UV protection sunglasses to wear. They also gave me goggles to use while sleeping along with some preservative free tears and soft gels. As for recovery, the first four hours after the procedure were the worst. But, the Dr did warn me beforehand about the stinging and burning and so, I slept for most of that time (the Valium helped, ofc). I could see clearly after I woke up from my nap. I was so surprised and relieved, I was smiling like an idiot the whole day. I had a post op check up the following morning and they said I have 20/20 vision now and that I was healing well. Surprisingly, I didn't have any side effects after the procedure, no redness and not even much dryness. I keep using the drops and tears as instructed. The only worry is I've tried to rub my eyes in sleep, despite the goggles. My follow up is in a few days. (Make sure you have someone to drive you back after the procedure.) So, I only have good things to say about LasikPlus. They had the best price in town, the best surgeon (who's done over 54k procedures), quick and efficient staff, and even hot chocolate in the lobby. Doesn't hurt to have a free consultation, go check them out. You might finally be rid of those glasses or contacts! read more

From first setting up my free consultation to my last followup appointment my experience with LasikPlus was phenomenal. The staff goes above and beyond in making you feel comfortable, safe and informing you of everything to expect from Lasiks. Scarlett and the rest of the front desk staff are absolutely amazing. Super friendly, knowledgeable and more than willing to answer any questions or address any concerns or issues you may have. They are also wizards at scheduling. They have it down pat and minimize your wait time. I spent more time sitting down and getting up than I did sitting and waiting. Dr. Smith was beyond amazing. He was a key part in my confidence in going forward with the procedure. Very kind and knowledgeable. Was able to answer all of my questions and concerns, even answered some questions I didn't think to ask. The procedure itself was so quick and easy and near painless. Bee stings are worse. The Dr. and staff during the procedure were very efficient and professional. They got me in and quickly explained everything as it was happening. Their professionalism really inspired confidence in me and kept me calm and relaxed through it all. As for the procedure itself, the worse part for me was the item they place on your eye to keep it open during the process. It didn't really hurt so much as it was the pressure on the eye from it. Like someone poking you in the eye and holding it there. The actual cut and lasing didn't hurt at all. And in less than 10 minutes I was done. Really was surprised how fast it goes. Immediately after the surgery I felt fine other than feeling like I had been poked in the eye with a giant thumb. I did experience a little bit of stinging once the numbing eye drops wore off but that only lasted 15 maybe 20 minutes and was very mild. The feeling like I was poked in the eye last about 2-3 days. After the 4 hours keeping my eyes closed I was amazed I could see without glasses already. That night I was watching movies and playing video games. Next day I was driving and going about my life like normal. For the first couple days things were haloed and a little fuzzy but that got rapidly better and after a week the haloing was really only noticeable at night around lights. Follow up was very easy and quick. Things looked good and now I'm going on with my life with my new laser eyes. I highly recommend this location to get your new eyes. I researched almost a decade ago and found this place to be the best. Then when I researched again in 2019 I found this place to still be the best. And after having the procedure I can confirm this location and the staff are the best. You'd be hard pressed to find a better place. The surgery was quick and easy, and the questions asked were thorough and left me confident of the quality of my surgery. I got PRK, not lasik, so I was hurting for a few days, but despite the haze that still persists as I write this, on the day I get my contacts taken out, I can tell my vision is improving and will get better. I see almost as well as I did with glasses, and better than I used to without them, and I will see even better than I used to with glasses, but I just need to be patient. I would recommend it if you have vision problems, and are able to take maybe a day or so off work or school, as you will probably experience some mild pain for a day or two. read more
