I tried several places--one felt like a cattle call, where I was just another person being rushed in and out. Another location claimed to accept my insurance, but I was still charged $110 for a basic annual exam that should have been covered. The following year, I decided to try UK Advanced Eye Care, and I'm so glad I did. The staff is wonderful--friendly, professional, and great at what they do. But what truly keeps me coming back is Nicole. She handles the eyewear side of things and is simply the best at what she does. Nicole has helped me with my glasses in more ways than I can count. She's kind, knowledgeable, and always greets you with a smile. After three years, she's the reason I continue to return. To be clear, I go to the Turfland Mall location. Business side of house is totally disconnected from doctor. Equipment, furnishings, furniture, and facilities are all lacking or at least well worn at Lexington. Sort of a disappointment in the end when I had such high hopes at the initial consultation for cataract surgery.

They weren't called in so called back on Friday and was assured one of the techs said she would call it in. I voiced my concerns that this was second time for this and was very concerning. I guess that didn't go over well cause it still wasn't called in and being the weekend if I'm lucky to not need them by Monday I've probably dodged the bullet for a infection.

Being new to the area I needed an orthopedic doctor to look at an injury. I went to a Lexington…read moreClinic Urgent Care Clinic and was pleasantly surprised to discover they offered a walking clinic specializing in orthopedic care. The clinic was a one stop shop for my injury. They had X-ray onsite. It took less than an hour for me to be seen by a nurse practitioner, X-rayed, and put into a cast. My follow up visits were equally as efficient. An orthopedic clinic was a brilliant concert and my medical treatment was excellent. Hope I never need them again but glad to know something like this is available if I do.
