Had an appointment today --- COVID precautions were not good enough. Way too many people waiting in the outer waiting room and in the hallways outside of exam rooms. Concerned about the crowd and the fact that medical providers are overbooked, who knows if they have the time to do their jobs correctly. Appointment took too long. First of all, very good doctors. But when you depend on office staff to call in prescriptions your office is only as good as your staff. I guess it takes a couple times for me to learn. This time I had eye surgery by Dr. Ansari on Thursday and was to use antibiotic drops three times a day. They weren't called in so called back on Friday and was assured one of the techs said she would call it in. I voiced my concerns that this was second time for this and was very concerning. I guess that didn't go over well cause it still wasn't called in and being the weekend if I'm lucky to not need them by Monday I've probably dodged the bullet for a infection. read more

Had a surgical procedure late Friday and the tech who was told to write the prescription did not write the frequency to take the antibiotic even though I heard the doctor tell him to his face. My wife immediately took the script to the pharmacy. Now it's Friday night, office is closed, no contact numbers, and the pharmacy won't fill the prescription. I have to go to a walk-in clinic immediately in the morning, pay MORE money, and pray to God I don't have an infection. I would NOT recommend this place. Hopefully I don't get a horrible infection from this. If I do, heads are going to roll. My follow up will be with another doctor's office. Edit - Pharmacist has used the quantity, the frequency that I heard the doctor state, the quantity prescribed, and used best judgment to confirm what I heard is appropriate and filled the prescription. Wife has been there for an hour working with them while they tried to contact the doctors and figure this out. Kudos to the diligent pharmacy. Shame on lousy techs. Relieved, but very upset. This office used to be one of the best, most user friendly opthomology offices in Lexington and it was bought out by a Dr from Frankfort. My wife and I both had cataract surgery on both eyes. Mine went fine, she had significant complications. Post-op care and concern was essentially nonexistent. Today was a follow up visit, she waited for an hour and still was not seen. This has become another office where it's how many souls can I pack in and get as much as I can. We are seeking care elsewhere after more than 20 years, what a sad ending. read more

Dr seemed good but customer service was unacceptable - over one hour wait before being taken back to a room, scratched my glasses when cleaning them such that I needed new lenses, and I had a billing issue whereby they charged my health insurance instead of eye insurance for a routine eye exam and they showed zero care or compassion when trying to talk to me about it. read more
