I could list numerous positive interactions I've had with the staff at Georgetown Eye Care but that would take awhile so i'll only list the most recent one. Dr. Richardson performed my second YAG procedure (not finding a ride to/from Lex is a bonus) last week. I planned on leaving from his office to go on a week vacation until Dr. Richardson said he was prescribing eye drops and if anyone has experienced the same pharmacy delays I have you know my reaction to that! No worries though, the front desk staff googled the closest pharmacy to my vacation spot and sent the prescription there. And, gave me her cell number in case I had any problems getting it! I have the utmost confidence that Dr. Richardson knows my vision history and is treating my specific issues. My eyes never feel like they have been abused when I leave his office. He's careful, considerate, knowledgeable and never rushes. I highly recommend them! read more

Was at one time a good eye care place. I tried to make an appointment but was told that I couldn't because I owed $22.00 from a previous visit. This is the first I heard of a balance due. Fine, I'll pay it when I come in, oh no we can't schedule you until the $22.00 is paid. Really? All this over $22.00 that you never sent me a bill for in over 12 months?! Whatever. You won't get my business again. Also don't like the fact that they put down other eyeglass places and push their own at a cost of 3 times what I can get eyeglasses elsewhere. Really like the doctors there, top notch. However the staff is rude, disorganized and do their best to treat patients like garbage. Was there a few weeks ago. Had to go in person because kept getting put on hold and disconnected. Not the way to run a medical office. Whatever happened to kindness and compassion? read more

I have been using this practice for years now! I would like to start by saying in general I am not a fan of any Dr. but Dr. Richardson is the best option Ophthalmologist I have ever been around. I know several people in the medical industry, family and friends. So stories about Dr.s' are not uncommon at family gatherings. So my experience is the staff here is amazing, and the care of all of the Dr.s' to their patients is amazing. I had an issue once where I had to go to the ER for an eye problem followed up with Dr. Richards the next day. He knew all the Dr.s in the ER a town over and explained everything to me to ease my concerns. They office staff is always helpful and extremely kind when helping to find new frames or showcasing new products if you express interest! I have lived in a few different places so I have switched eye Dr.s a few times over the years. Georgetown Eye Care is by far my favorite place to see the Dr. and the knowledge is incredible, experience and personality of the entire staff is awesome. As a former Navy pilot and diabetic, I've been getting rigorous eye exams for over 45 years. New to Georgetown, KY, I went to Georgetown Eye Care on S. Bradford Lane (behind CVS and next to the Georgetown Library off South Broadway) for the first time this week for a diabetic and annual eye exam. I was totally impressed by Dr. Chip Richardson's expertise, the friendliness and professionalism of his staff, and the state of the art equipment used for my exam. This is by far the best in-depth eye exam I've received in well over 50 years.
