This was the worse thing I've ever done. I had not one but two lasik surgeries. At age 50+ I had become far sighted and contacts seemed too uncomfortable. As a jewelry artisan, court athlete, and teacher I invested in my eye sight, hoping to regain vision loss to age. Each surgery result lasted less than a year. I suppose that was why I ws not charged for the redo. My current Dr described the the effects of the surgery as the re- shaping of my eye as if a volcano with a mote dug out around it. My eyes are constantly dry with occasional sharp pains. Dr Whiteside you ruined my eyesight. I'm in contacts and readers now, and my eyes will forever remain subject to the Lasiks surgeries that I consider the worst decisions I've ever made. I'm 24 hours after my procedure and I feel great. I even was able to drive myself to the follow up. You don't meet Dr Whiteside until the day of the surgery, but by then you don't have any questions bc his staff is so thorough. they give you some Valium right before to help calm you down (not enough, I was still really nervous) and Dr Whiteside talks you through the entire thing, which I found really soothing. It's uncomfortable but not unbearable. The second I sat up I could read the nurse's name tag, albeit a little blurry. I had -8 in one eye and -5 in another, so a really strong prescription. My results in one day are incredible! I came here bc I got a discount as they are my vision insurance's preferred provider. I'm so, so glad I did. read more

After many years of wearing glasses and constant visits to the eye doctor, I decided to schedule for a lasik consult. The ease of scheduling an appointments are quick and easy, I actually made an appointment the next day! I was worried that I would not be a good candidate since my previous eye doctor told me I was not a good candidate for lasik. During the consult we did an exams then went over the results and.... I was qualified for lasik!!! So happy and excited that I had a chance to correct my vision! Afterwards, scheduling for the treatment was easy. They were able to fit me in the same week but I opted for the following week. They offer weekends and late afternoons which was a plus. Dr. January did my procedure and he was amazing! The procedure was painless, just a felt a bit of pressure. Make sure to nap afterwards! The clinician I worked with was friendly, patient, and enjoyable to work through the various tests. When it was time to hand me off to the optometrist (Dr. Do), the whole thing fell apart. She was rude, ill-mannered, and her demeanor made me very ill at ease. When asked to slow down the tests so I could actually see the differences, got upset with me. Great experience at LasikPlus! Everyone I talked to was very friendly and informative. It sounds like some of the other reviewers didn't do their research beforehand. The price was reasonable and ended up costing around $3500 after discounts. The surgery was smooth-- the surgery itself was maybe 15 minutes and the doctor was good about letting me know what was happening. It took less than 2 hours total on the day of the surgery and I received a followup call that night from the doctor. Now my vision is 20/15! Definitely would recommend it. read more

I agree this was a miracle! I have wanted to do this for such along time but was skeptical as you only have one set of eyes! My appt. was at 3:30 and I got right in for my consult. Sabrina was better than awesome, she explained everything and made me feel so comfortable. This was the most extensive eye exam I have ever had, and I've been wearing contacts for over 20 years! I've been wanting to get Lasik done for years now, and finally made an appointment for my consultation exam after I ran out of contacts. Everything was done efficiently and the staff here is amazing. Shoutout to Sabrina who helped me with my initial consultation and explaining everything in detail as well as making me as comfortable as possible :) I ended up getting an appointment for the surgery for the same week with Dr. January. He's super fun, personable, and got me in and out in about 10 minutes. Didn't feel anything during the actual procedure, but did experience burning, itching, and watering as it was healing after. They tell you to take a nap so the only discomfort was when I left the office to when I actually fell asleep. I woke up and I can see! It honestly still feels like I have contacts in or something as it hasn't hit me yet that after 18 years of contacts/glasses I don't need anything to see. I also have pretty bad astigmatism, but they were able to correct it with the new lasers. Highly recommend getting Lasik. I'm sure everyone would tell you it's life changing, but LasikPlus is definitely a place that will make you feel comfortable while also keeping everything streamlined and efficient. I had LASIK here yesterday and it was an amazing experience. I was incredibly nervous but they have me a blanket and one of the ladies held my hand during the first part of the procedure. Procedure itself was incredibly quick. My eyes were very sensitive to light leaving here, but after taking a nap I woke up to perfect vision. So happy I decided to do this. Went in for a consultation on Wednesday and set the Lasik appt for the following Friday. The consultation is very informative. They make you feel very comfortable with the entire process. They go over every detail of the surgery and what to prepare for. They go over all your options (not just lasik) and also have different ways to pay including financing. The Lasik appt was about an hour long total but I was only in the surgery room for about 6 minutes. Its fast and painless. I personally was not nervous i until i was under the laser but it went so quick I didn't have time to panic. The Dr has music on to relax you and the drops that numb your eye help you not feel absolutely anything. The staff did a excellent job preparing me on everything that would happen during and post surgery. I'm absolutely grateful I finally did this and that it was such a simple experience. read more

Referred to me my GP's nurse. The staff and Dr. Whiteside were all great throughout the process. Everyone was knowledgeable, attentive, and made me feel very comfortable. The consultation took around 90 mins and they were ready to give my exam right at my appointment time. I was greeted by a lovely receptionist and filled out some paperwork in a computer at the back of the reception area. Once the paperwork was done they immediately took me into the exam room to look at my eyes. The exam went well and they told me I was a candidate. I scheduled my appointment for surgery for three days later. On my day of surgery I got to the office at my specified time and was greeted warmly. I filled out a little paperwork and then headed into an exam room. I got some drops and waited a few for them to numb things up. Dr. Whiteside came in gave me the rundown of the procedure and escorted me to the room with the laser. I laid down and Dr. Whiteside's soothing voice talked me through everything as he did it. There was no pain at all, just felt like pressure on the eye. The next day was my follow up visit and 24 hours later I now have 20/15 vision. This was by far one of the most positive experienced I've had with a procedure. I highly recommend Dr Whiteside and the staff at this location. read more

I've been wearing glasses for 11 years and an ad came on the radio for lasikplus saying "lasik starting at 250 per eye"(sounds too good to be true) and I was very intrigued. I got home and did some research and realized that it'll probably cost more for me. But at the end of the day this is a good investment for anyone who wears contacts/glasses. We came for a consultation. Every single person here must love their job... because everyone is just happy and helpful. Not in an Office Space "does someone have a case of the Mondays" kind of fake cheer. Just genuinely kind and friendly folks. After the battery of high-tech testing, my husband was informed that he, as one of the chosen few, qualified for the "$250 per eye" promo. I couldn't whip out the HSA card fast enough. We scheduled the surgery itself 4 weeks later. I had to call to order his rx's about a week before the procedure, in which they informed me that they would deliver them to the LasikPlus office that day. Sweet! You mean I don't need to make a separate trip inside the loop? Yes, please! The day of surgery arrived yesterday. We arrived and were immediately taken back for last exam. They gave my husband a hairnet and an "if lost, please return to room blah blah blah" sticker. Then they walked him into the procedure room and me into the waiting room where I had gallery seating to the entire procedure. It was fascinating. I will admit I almost puked when they pulled back his cornea (like I said... you can see EV. ER. Y. THING.). The procedure was done in maybe 6 minutes. We are back for his follow up today.
