I took a little video to show :) Before laying down on the bed, chi Mimi asked if this was my first time getting a lash lift as I booked for a lash lift for my birthday this weekend :) I told chi Mimi that it's my second time but the first time was a failed I got it done at another place in FV and the eyelashes weren't really lifted and only one eye was lifted pretty So I told chi Mimi about the issue and she assured me, I'll get them lifted really nicely today. The process took 30 minutes and when it was time to open my eyes and looked at the lashes. I was giggling and overjoyed . I loved it so much, it's curled/lifted in a natural way and chi Mimi told me if the next time I do it again, they will curl even more!!! Got my lashes done for the first time and I was so impressed. I'm a super picky person when it comes to my looks or makeup so I thought getting my lashes done by someone else wasn't going to be it for me. But I can't express how happy I was to get my lashes done by MiMi!! The look I was going for was more of a natural look but voluminous. I'm not a huge fan of dramatic lashes and every local place I've seen in my city specializes in bigger, more voluminous lashes that cater around western eyes and not really Asian eyes. And most of the lash salons "natural" are not actually natural. I had no interest in them but then I checked out MiMi's page on yelp and wanted to give it a try. I got to the spot and got lost a bit because I didn't realize Mimi's shop was in Pearl Skin Care and Makeup. Luckily, I found my way and Mimi helped me out once I got in. I wasn't sure how to tell her how I wanted my lashes because I've never got them done but she sat there and listened to what I like. In the end, she decided I should go for natural volume with a doll shape look. I completely agreed with her and it took about 2 hours to complete. By the end I was in love with the look and I will definitely come back. I might even try the classic look but the lashes she gave me were just beautiful. First time there and would be last as well. Owner gave me several different prices over phone, from $70 (classic style) - $130 (wispy style). When I arrived, I chose wispy style which she said she couldn't do it for me because I have thin lashes. I settled for classic/a little volume lashes. After everything was done, my price still came out $130 - which was the maximum price and way too expensive for classic style (and compared to other places as well). I was shocked but didn't argue. When I mentioned the Yelp coupon's 20% off for first time client, owner refused to accept the coupon, reasoning that it was for when she first started her business a while back. I told her if that was the case, she should have taken the coupon down. I paid, tipped her $20 and left. Can't stand dishonest business owners.
