She didn't ask me a ton of questions so I was able to relax while getting my lashes re-done; I ended up falling asleep!! Thats how relaxed I was!!! I was really hopeful because of all of the positive reviews and easy booking process, but when I first saw my lashes after the appointment I wanted to cry. I had asked for natural lashes and the result was extremely unnatural with very dark lashes and way too long. I'm not sure if maybe it varies more based on the technician and she was very nice, but the result was a little bit embarrassing for me to even wear to work the next day and I had to make an emergency appointment with my old lash studio in NYC to fix it. There was just no way I could go to work with these lashes. Update: immediately heard from them and was able to get a refund. appreciate the customer service. My lash master - Megan is my go to for awhile now. She's super sweet and fun to talk to while she's completing my lashes. This place is super organized in their booking system. They will remind you by text when your next appointment is, and then during your appointment day you can respond to them by quickly saying either you're running late or help me find parking. Their parking spots are very limited in the plaza where their store is (look for Lashes by Ann sign), but you have plenty of spots across the street. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for Megan. They are so good at staying on time for their customers! Everyone is friendly there! I have asian lashes, so they're thin and no volume at all. So I pay extra to get fuller lashes. I go in every 3-4 weeks to get my refill and they still look beautiful till then. This place is slowly declining for me. The service/product of what you get depending who you see is great however it comes at a cost. From the time you set your appointment to the day of your appointment and walking in, be prepared to get blasted with text messages about your initial appointment, a text asking you to confirm your appt after you had just booked your appointment, if you don't confirm you will get more texts on top of that, a reminder text on the day of your appointment (which is fine), a text about parking (because out of all of their 12+ lash techs and their clients, they only have two parking spots out front so you will get a text on where else you should park), a text if you're two min late which most will get due to the fact that there's no parking and your walking from the gated place next door, they'll call you on top of that to ask where you are if it's five min past. Like seriously? Have some common tact. Then another text after you check in. I've gotten 10+ texts from them in under two days. And lately (my favorite one) A text if they can change your SET appointment hours to minutes before coming in because they have a random opening last minute. They've tried to change my appointment around 3 times in one day when I already had my day set. The pushiness is a little bit much and overwhelming so can we please stop asking clients if they can come in the morning if they already have an evening appointment?! Our schedules don't revolve around yours!!! They've done this almost every appointment now and it defeats the purpose of having an appointment schedule in place if they keep asking you to change it. Not only have the prices increased due to inflation but now they put in an APPOINTMENT CHARGE OF $2 For basically doing the same thing using the same system they've had. So this charge is ridiculous if you don't even get to stick with your original appointment. Not everyone is going to move their schedule around for you. But do you get a reimbursement for helping them out by coming in a little earlier ? No! I find myself getting more stressed and anxious coming to my appointments having to speed up bc I don't want to get a text or phone call cause I can't find parking in their assigned two parking spots, then get there and find out they aren't even ready for me. This is so much stress and gives such anxiety for a service that's supposed to be relaxing. Just because of all this I may go somewhere else or stop going cause it's not worth it if they're going to start asking clients to move their schedule around for THEIR sake of making more money. Okay so I'm going to be very honest in this review as I am in my other reviews. I really really do not see what the fuss is about what this place. I'm sorry to say, but I really don't. The place I go to, Lux Nails, does a better job in my opinion, and it's not as expensive. No new customer even gets a discount at all here. And they charge $120! And if you check in with Yelp you only get a $5 discount... LOL... I am at a loss for words. LOL I'm sorry, let me be more accurate... $119 for a full set..... Where in the world do they do that at? Unless it's super natural hair from the most exclusive animal in the world... Why on Earth am I paying $119 for synthetic mink lashes? It makes no sense to me. The people are very very nice I'll definitely give them that... Very hospitable... I'll give him that as well... But, I will never come here again simply for the fact that it's way way way way way overpriced and the place I go to, as stated before, does an equally or much better job for Less. Substantially less. Granted, where I go to now is considerably more than other places, but it's not over $100 like it is here. I will stick with my place, but I am glad that I tried. At the beginning of July, my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and he had a few months left. (If the bottom half of your eye ever turns red and becomes sore after an application, it's probably because of the gel pads). Decided to try Lashes by Ann after seeing their reviews on Yelp and because they're pretty much the only place that offers the "half-set" service in all of Houston - half sets are a personal preference and I liked mine super natural/ a barely-there look. Having a glam set of lashes is a must for my work aesthetic and I don't know what I'd do if it weren't for this fabulous salon! Never again. It's just not worth the let down in quality. This salon offers the best rates (MUCH better than the chains that you get "memberships" to) and for less than the cost of those chain's "natural" bare bones sets, you get a full dramatic set! Customer service is above and beyond, the place is clean and organized- I booked woth Natalie based on yelp reviews and have been a regular for over a year now! She does an amazing job - listens to exactly what you're going for and will give you suggestions too. Natalie is great to talk to and always so professional yet personable at the same time! I am def addicted because her lash work is so beautiful and natural looking for every day. I did ask her to do something more "fancy" for a wedding I was in - and I got SO many compliments! So she can do natural or do something a little more extravagant - but always willing to work with what you want! I also have to mention that you literally can't feel her fingers on your lashes while she's working, that's how good she is, there have been a couple instances where I was relaxed and took a nap. Best lashes I've ever had. Period. I live in dry, cold Colorado. When I came to visit my family in hot, humid Houston my lashes fell out in a few days. I called around and this place was the most accommodating and gave me helpful, knowledgeable information about lashes that I didn't know. I'm so eternally grateful they squeezed me in. Such a quick full set, and they lasted so long. They even fell out evenly so as the weeks went by they still looked good as they thinned. I WENT BACKPACKING FOR A WEEK AND LOOKED PERFECT THE WHOLE TIME. After visiting family, I went back to Colorado and spent a week outside, backpacking and summiting 5 14,000 ft peaks. Some of the most grueling hiking I've done.... and my lashes looked amazing from start to finish. I had them a few more days before filling. I think if I took good care of them, they could have lasted a month! Oh! And!! Their suite is extremely private and they've got amazing treats and a keurig in their waiting room.... but I didn't have to wait at all. I showed up for my appointment and they were ready! Today was my first time getting eyelash extensions and coming to Lashes By Ann. Booking process: I love it! I love how you can go online and look at the technicians schedules to plan when is most convenient for you. The online booking tool is so simple and easy. I love the courtesy texts and reminders. I had to reschedule my appointment and was able to call in. They sent me a confirmation text to remind me on the reschedule! Parking: yes parking is somewhat limited here, but I went during the week day during week hours so I was lucky. Just be cautious of signs. Service: front desk was very welcoming and lobby is full of drinks and magazines. Very comforting environment. Technician: Avery is super duper sweet and was able to talk me through different lengths and styles of extensions. She gave me exactly what I wanted and was so nice. She made sure I was comfortable during the whole procedure. I will say the medical tape hurt my eye lids and I was getting a little antsy during the end. I think I will be more relaxed for next time. Avery sensed my anxiety and got her fan out to minimize the burning sensation on my eye lids. So nice of her to do this! I walked out to my car and noticed one part of my lashes wasn't the same as the other eye, not a huge deal but I knew it would bug me if I didn't go back in! When I had originally gone for my first appointment, I there was a little bit of a miscommunication between my technician and I and, as my lashes were beautiful, they weren't exactly the look I was going for. That same night after I left, I ended up calling knowing they were closed and was just going to leave a message for someone to call me back, however to my surprise they answered and I spoke with Ann for about 20 minutes trying to find a solution.
