So..... I really tried to like this place. At first, they have a lot of options and a membership with other services to offer other then just eyelash extensions. The first time I came in they asked if I wanted to join the membership, I declined but considered joining at one point but every-time I came in there was always an issue. I'm not a fan of their scheduling because they leave no time in between sessions for alterations. What I did like about them was they were very fast and I was out within 30 min but I feel that may also be a downfall now that I have gone over 8 times, i notice my lashes do not last more then a week before they are start slowly falling out. I schedule refills and then come refill time, My eyelashes are pretty much gone to where I feel like I need a full set , but because I didn't tell them that at the time of booking the refill, (like I knew your lashes were gonna fall out so soon) they won't accommodate that and make me come back and schedule another appointment. Time management is not the best there. This is the only place I have been to that my lashes don't last at least a month before I need to refill. Also not a fan of prices. They charge you for the initial Lash instillation and then they charge you for the style of lash you want and then they also charge you a master stylist fee on top of that. I feel like I walk out spending $350 on lashes which I've never done before. Even with the membership I just don't feel like it's worth it so I'm glad I never signed up. I thought that maybe it was just the location that I was going to. Amazing lash studio is a chain so they have multiple locations. I went to the midtown location and got a "master stylist" and she gave me a full set of eyelash extensions, and I kid you not. The next day they fell all out. I have been getting my lashes done for the last five years, so I know how to properly take care of them. When I called to tell them what had happened, they blamed me and said, are you sure you didn't do this yourself?. Yeah because I wanted to spend my day coming back to redo my lashes. Recently signed up for a membership here after debating going for awhile. It doesn't force you into a contract. I would recommend making sure to know if you book with a master stylist or not ahead of time. There is an up charge. I was annoyed that the system online didn't tell me when I first went. I signed up for the twice a month refill membership since I know I'm not the type to want my lashes looking week. It's so great to just be able to wake up and go for the most part. I was in need of getting my lashes done as it had been over a year. I looked up the studio and was able to schedule online. I chose any employee and was scheduled with Mindy. My appt was schedule for Friday mid-morning and upon arrival there were 2 people at the front desk. I was greeted and checked in, then was told there was a switch with the person I would be scheduled with. I ended up being serviced by Bryce and she was amazing! I had multiple questions and she was very knowledgeable. I will say that there isn't much explaining of the pricing so once back I did have to go back to the front because I signed up for the first timer special, but then once back found out what I wanted would be an additional price. I also wasn't informed that Bryce was a master tech and there's no way of knowing with the drop down on the website. Master tech's are an additional fee so I would definitely review pricing first and confirm tech beforehand. They did tell me they would waive the additional fee since I would think because 1. I didn't choose the person, and again there's no way of knowing from the drop-down on the site who's a master or not. I did go ahead and sign up for the monthly service and enjoyed Bryce so much that I will pay the extra $10 to continue seeing her. read more

This is my 2nd set by DAO and I love them. The facility is clean and everyone is masked. When entering, you wash your lashes w/the lash wash and wait in the back are until your lash technician is ready. With your initial visit, they talk you through the various options. Being that I'm not a pro on lashes, but certainly know what I like, aesthetically, I'm pleased. They are concerned about overall service and experience and urge you to write a review. I should have read the reviews before visiting this location. I've been to other Amazing Lash Studios without issues, but this one has been disappointing. I wasn't thrilled with my lashes, but it wasn't worth a negative review at the time. Now, since I'll be out of town for months, I can't cancel my membership and am stuck paying for a service I can't use. Excellent Customer Service: I just moved here and needed a new studio. My first service here did not go well. The stylist did not do a good job and most of my lashes fell off within the first few days. HOWEVER, the front desk staff and management were AMAZING about getting it corrected. They offered for me to come in with a new stylist, Jenny. Jenny provided an entirely different experience and result than I received the first time. She was much more professional as well. I will return due to the wonderful customer service and experience with Jenny. If you are new, make sure you say something if your lashes don't come out as desired. I've been a member for over 5 years now and have frequented many salons all over Texas. This is by far the worst operated one I've seen, I cancelled my membership here after they refused to freeze my membership without having me come in to fill out paperwork. I was out of the country for business and was charged 2 months before I could make it back to Texas to cancel. The receptionist told me I would have to do it when I got back 2 MONTHS LATER. Unreal. I've had memberships at other franchises and no one has ever required me to cancel in person. I finally took my membership to another location that is a lot easier to work with but my lash tech was still at this location so I still have to go here for services. Honestly, if Bryce wasn't at this location they'd never see a dollar from me again. Fast forward a year, I've been seeing Bryce, I had an appointment and got a text asking me to change my appointment. Atleast once every 2-3 visits they do this to me, will text me a day or so before to move my appointment time. I usually say yes because I know I'm accommodating Bryce, not the salon, but this time moving up my appointment gave me a tight window to get from my previous responsibility to my new appointment time but I think I could do it so I tried. It appears I'm going to be about 15 mins late so I call the salon to have them ask Bryce if she can still fit me in. Mind you, I've now moved my whole morning around to accommodate them, and the receptionist is so so rude and tells me no and not only that but they're now going to charge me. I ask to talk to the manager but she's never there and she never returns calls. Moral of the story is, this place has unethical business practices and don't ever scratch their back because the first time you ask them for something they'll charge you and be rude. I hate that I have to go find a new lash tech but it's just not worth the headache this place has given me the last 2 years. read more

Stay away from this location and this chain. Their policies are only in place to protect the business and the obvious philosophy in the studio is that the customer is never right. I have been going here for three months and for over two I was pleased. When my technician, Dao was not available I was put with someone else. I was given a fill on Friday and by Saturday morning half of the lashes had fallen out! When I called on Monday morning, they said I could come in and they would fix it for free. However, I was put with someone else, and only given 30 minutes, which was not long enough to repair the damage. It is now one day later and half of my lashes have fallen out again. I have decided to quit my membership, but true to form, they require you to drive to their location to sign a release. Your time is not valuable at all to them. It's furnished nice and I noticed that they do have snacks and water provided in the waiting area , however my lash tech was ready for me so no need to wait . This place is HORRIBLE!!! They cancel your appointments ALL the time. The final draw was when I was cancelled on twice and no compensation was given. She also tried to use the excuse that she tried to call this morning to get me in at another location and because I waited so long to call her back they are full. She called at 11:07 am and I returned the call at 12:27 pm. I'm sorry that I work. Update: 10/29 - Reducing my review to 3 stars the charges on my receipt were inconsistent with what i was told. The rate for a 1st time visit is $79.99, I was then charged an additional $30 for a master technician (BEFORE my service, I was told they would waive that because it was my first visit and that is all they had available), I was charged $35 for 6d lashes but then credited $17.50 because I complained about not being told about the up charge up front. So...now having reviewed the receipt, i see i was over charged $30. If you go here, please be sure to ask about all charges and confirm that what you were told is consistent with what you intended. I called and they corrected the charge. Minus one star because, less than a week later there were lashes coming off. I went in and was told that in order to have them fix it you have to come back within 3 days. Unfortunately i had been out of town so unable to come in before that. It was suggested that i do a mini fix for $49. I-Literally had a lash hanging off looking like Charlie Brown Christmas tree. They told me I had a 10 minute grace period and I got there at exactly 10 minutes after and they said I couldn't be seen because it wasn't before the 10 minute grace period. My appointment was at 10:10 and I arrived at 10:20. Not to mention I called prior to my appointment to inform them it was my bday and I had an unexpected gift/delivery that slowed me down. They didn't care. No grace was given. They still charged me 50% of my service. I guess the location is really hurting for money if this is how they're operating. Absolutely terrible! Called a week after my appt saying all lashes had fallen out. The stylist Helen was stacking the lashes on application and when they would fall out it would be 3-4 false lashes attached to each eyelash. When I called, I spoke with the manager and she stated they couldn't do a correction, it would be a refill. I reminded her all lashes had fallen off and she stated that's fine to come in on Thursday for a refill. Besides the slightly below average lashes, that are only filled barely 70% of the way, this place has HORRIBLE customer service. Let's explain: While signing up for their "membership program" (i.e. license to torment you for the end of your days) on my first visit, I was rushed through the paperwork to "just sign, just sign" as my lash lady was standing there waiting for me. After possibly 3-4 times going, trying both master and normal stylists, I was not satisfied with the quality and found a new lash studio. It happens, no big deal, that should have been the end of it. Nope. I had just moved as well and called to cancel to explain I wasn't satisfied and moved to a new studio. They told me there was a $60 membership cancelation; or "one month refill", uh, no that was never explained to me while signing up, and I'm not paying for a refill that I will not use or agree to. They said it was in the paperwork; you mean the paperwork you jostled me through to signsignsignsign so I wouldn't put you behind? Oh, right. Not happening. So after asking to speak with the manager "we do not have a manager at this location" (uh, what?) then told they didn't have the phone number for the owner (again, what?) I was pretty peeved and the girl finally relented and said she would cancel it and waive the fee. Ok, great. Bye. Ugh. THAT should be the end of it. NOPE. The horror was just beginning. I keep getting charged. Every MONTH. I call, I complain, I explain, I am promised that THIS TIME, they will cancel it, and take my credit card OFF file. I file a dispute with my bank, charges are reversed, I am given a refund, THAT should be the end of it. NOPE. I was charged AGAIN. Is there NO STOPPING LASH STUDIO?! I am convinced now it is run by evil robots, plotting to take over the planet. How can I explain this further?! How can I get them to leave me alone?! It's going on 3 months, the evil that which is lash studio persists. I once AGAIN, dispute the changes, now CANCEL my card, and cry to my therapist about the trauma associated with being stalked by this entity. When the terminator comes back, he will have been sent by this company. I live in fear. Let this be a warning to all. read more
