Stay away from this establishment!!!! Is there an option for "0" star!!!!! I am beyond frustrated with how they run this particular location. I have done laser treatment at laser away Santana Row location where I am beyond happy with them as how they treat customers...that is where you should go...this place does not even honor their own words.I called prior to purchasing the groupon and was confirmed by the main line of laser away that they would honor this groupon!!! I called mountain view location after 5 min I was put on hold got disconnected, called back was put on hold and disconnected again. Their rep did not even bother to call back specifically when she asked for phone number. After finally talking to someone I was told they would not honor the groupon even though their main number okayed it. Then she tried to offer touch ups for other areas at a price that was higher than their other location. I am frustrated because I really thought this particular laser away will be ran as smoothly as the Santana row location and also they would honor what they promise!!!! hmmmm..that is not a good way to run a business read more

If I could give zero I would. I am doing my spring cleaning on myself and am looking at a mirage of treatments. Called 3 other companies and got costs on each. Laseraway would not give me any costs except on Juvederm in which they were $1500 a CC, excuse me I am paying only $570 with another doctor I use for my Botox which is only $8.50 BTW and they are $10-15 depending. There we go again can you give an actual price? Everything else was we need to see you first before we can give costs. DONT GET RIPPED OFF! I see Dr. Lee in San Jose of Vienna Skin and highly recommend his services. Very disappointing but this is what happens when companies get too big. It was my first time ever even considering doing laser hair removal and it was such a great consult! Karizza was absolutely amazing. Original I came in only want a small part of my body getting lasered but she gave me such a good deal I ended up getting more for a lot cheaper. She walked me through what would be happening through every session and explained about the payment plan they offered. She was so great and talking with her made me realize this was the best choice. I love the fact that there are so many different location since Mountain View is almost an hour drive from where I live. I have had such an incredible experience at the MTV Laser Away. Everyone I have encountered here has been extremely welcoming, professional and willing to answer all of my questions. Her patience, honesty, and knowledge made me feel so comfortable and I left knowing everything I needed about laser hair removal. They are very accommodating with your schedule and willing to shift things around if needed. I have done two treatments (and already seeing results!) at this location and the two nurses Trixia and Julie have been incredible. I think I initially posted a review of this after my first session/consultation but never finished the rest. SO here goes: Firstly there are only 2 receptionist that are actually nice and know how to actually coordinate meetings to make time for your appointments. Kristen (?) is one of them. The rest are rude, snobby and don't don't what they're doing. I initially walked in just for a consultation (I was desperate to find more long term solutions for hair removal). Kristen was super nice, explained everything to me, took care of me, went above and beyond, and even gave me an amazing discount for my session: full legs, Brazilian, and underarms...basically everything. First session was great. I didn't know actually you get diff nurses for each session but okay. I liked the first nurse best because she was v knowledgeable and detailed. She made sure to cover every area. It *is* true what they say: the session are quick and somehow your skin is smoothest its ever been! Pain tolerance wise, don't believe all those fake commercials of the pretty girls who say on camera "I usually have a low pain tolerance, but this was easy!" Keep in mind, I have been epilating my entire life. With epilation, its like electronic tweezers, it plucks the hair from the root. With laser, the machine targets the little bulb inside your skin (so much deeper), preventing the hair from growing back. So after years of epilation, yes, I didn't feel any pain. Second nurse for my next session did an okay job. Not as detailed but I was still surprised at how much area she covered. By now, I had to switch back to shaving because they tell you epilatation, waxing, or sugaring of any kind messes up the laser treatments; you want your skin to grow the hair so the laser can pick up on it. After shaving for a while, I felt the pain for my second session. It stung, some areas more than others (but as the first nurse explained, areas that have thicker, more denser hair tend to hurt more) but still doable. Third session was a mess. This is where the nightmare started. Firstly, I was half an hour late to my one hour appointment. My fault. BUT the dumb receptionist there casually suggested we "cover as much area as we can" (in this case underarms and Brazilian) and sent me on my way. The session was a mess. The nurse I was stuck with was dumb as a rock. I had clear razor burns that were either as early as the day before to a few weeks. They were pretty obvious and I was wondering if the lady would go over that area as well. She did. Funny, because she later said they don't go over "scar tissue." To this day, I have blackend skin on both my pits from her blasting the laser on fresh injury. The pain for this session (at least for my pits) was excruciating. Maybe it was because I didn't follow through with aftercare everyday? (applying lotion on areas). I asked for a numbing cream SEVERAL TIMES and said I would pay extra. She didn't even bother trying to find it. All she said was "Hm. We don't offer numbing cream for tattoo removals." She gave me a stress ball instead that was for some reason rock hard. It stressed me out trying to squeeze the ball. So didn't help at all. The nurse said in her fake voice "Oh I can't stand seeing people in pain" and paused every 2 seconds in between. I also asked her if the cold air blasted with the laser was on the highest setting because that's what I always have for my sessions and they do help with the pain. She lied and said no. Soon after, she said she completed the session, and said she would include in the notes of my session that she covered my underarms and brazillian. Bullshit because as I lay down there, I saw so many hairs on my both my pits and underarms. There is no way she even did a full braziallian. I saw the area she covered down there. She barely went over the top; it was more like a bikini. Obviously the session was pointless. I was furious and the receptionist booked me for my second half of the session, which is my full legs. I later canceled my session because I didn't want to repeat the same thing for my legs. Two lessons here: 1. Don't go into your session late. Be as early as possible because they are a busy office and cannot re-schedule your appointment whenever. 2. If you do end up arriving late (even 5 mins) to your session, no matter what you're getting, just reschedule the entire session. I reported my messed up third session SEVERAL TIMES to various receptionist and asked about my payment too (usually the loan company will send you payment bills at the end of every session). I kept getting told "the director will contact you about that." THAT WAS OVER THREE MONTHS AGO. Yes, LAST YEAR. I had to go IN PERSON to the office to book a full proper third session to compensate for my previous half one. Once again, I explained to the receptionist my issue (she seemed smart) and she too said the director will contact me. She managed to squeeze me in for beginning of Jan. (1) read more

The customer service there was ok... only because I'm comparing it to the AMAZING service I received at the Los Gatos location. The staff was much friendlier and they even took me early!!! I got a Groupon $249 deal for 3 laser hair removal treatments and noticed that my hair does not grows slower/less after 3 sessions. Even I am a good candidate for laser since i have light skin and dark hair. After the first treatment, I told them that I did not notice any different, hair still growing back very thick . The nurse trying convinced me at the second and third sessions, I would feel the results. Guess what, after 3 treatments my hair still growing back as thick as before and I just wasting my time /money. Plus all the treatments are painful even with numbing cream. read more

Completely a fraudulent service. They just woo you with their coupons. They don't take responsibility of the damage they do and ask to seek outside dermatologist. Its shocking to see they are running such a huge company with even a proper dermatologist on board. I started seeing a lot of acne on my face after my first treatment. Never in my life I had this bad acne and I was also ready to show them my last three years of pics. Irresponsible staff completely a fraud company. Please don't go by their attractive packages because they are getting money for spoiling your skin! They don't get back inspite of continuous emails/phones , I really want this review should save a lot of people out there. They initially suspected my acne is because of folliculitis and later they just gave up saying that its not because of laser which is a completely false claim they are making just to save themselves. My face is kinda all surrounded by scars and acne. They just play around with customers face and trust! Seriously you will someday learn your lessons LaserAway! Ok folks most of the reviews have 5 stars, this review will not be a five star....my experiience with LaserAway Mountain view has been very poor, I paid for my tattoo removal in full with my credit card over a year ago, and still has not completed the full treatment. Twice I was booked but when I arrived at their location, I had to wait a while to be seen, I didn't complain as I can see they were busy, finally 45 minutes later the receptionist said they can't get their machine to work, so okay I rescheduled. This time I could not get the appointment I needed since Feb 2016, itis now in Judy 2016 and no one has ever returned my call to reschedule my tattoo removal,....my opinion I want my money refunded and I will seek my tattoo removal treatment somewhere.....thanks for reading. read more

This place is tiny and everyone can hear your business. I went in for a cool sculpting consultation and the receptionist walked me to the end of a small hall to talk. It was awkward. The waiting room was filled with clients and they were all speaking Hindi and being very loud and I felt uncomfortable talking to receptionist about what I was there for and what the cost were. The consult was very half ass and the nurse who examined my fat was over worked and seemed tired. There is absolutely no privacy in this area and I find that very disturbing when you are there to get procedures that are very personal and private. I thought they were very expensive, they quoted me at almost $7K to do my core and love handles. I'm 5'4 and weigh 170 and that's with a 25% discount. After being there for half an hour and the noisy crowd in the very small waiting room. I left, I got very claustrophobic and felt uneasy. Although, the receptionist was very nice and did her best to to crowd control, I felt she was getting overwhelmed and I got her card and my pricing estimate and left. I also felt that they don't have enough experience doing the cool sculpting and from reading Yelp all they review is the hair removal. So I'm going to shop around some more for other facilities that do cool sculpting. read more

So far so good - I have completed my first session of laser hair removal. I signed up for the full body package and I'm looking forward to getting it over with and having no more hair! The hair removal process is virtually pain free. The areas that hurt the most are underarms, legs and upper lip. Other than, it's a breeze. And they are so quick, it goes by pretty fast. The nurses do rotate but I don't mind - I don't expect them to accommodate me with the same nurse each time. I'm just glad they are able to schedule me last minute sometimes. I took off one star for a variety of reasons. First one being that when I originally wanted to sign up, I was nervous about shaving my facial hair. The manager, Danielle who did my consultation told me plucking was okay. I did pluck and needless to say, didn't see much of a result from my first session. I don't appreciate being lied to especially since I'm spending a couple thousand, I want to make sure I'm dealing with honest people. Second reason is that they are closed on Sunday's and third, if you sign up for the full body then you have to split up your appointments into two so that you don't overwhelm their machines - which makes sense but since I drive 30+ mins (one way - not counting traffic) it's a little bit of hassle. I just wish they could switch to another machine. I will be updating my review hopefully once I start seeing results. read more

I purchased a Living Social deal and got a hair removal package and so far I have had 3 laser hair removal treatments for both my armpits and bikini area. I have to say that the treatments themselves have been totally comfortable. After the 3rd treatment is when I noticed less hair growth. SO nice to not have to shave that area every day! I have several more treatments to go for hair removal. In addition, I inquired about some specials that they were running on some other procedures. I decided to go for Coolsculpting and Thermage on my belly (due to stretched skin from having a baby). I'm not that big, but I did have a small roll under my belly button. I have noticed already a flattening in that area and it's only been about a month now. I have not done the Thermage on my belly yet as they said I needed wait until belly settles down from Cool sculpting. I also did Thermage for my lower face and neck, plus my eyes. The procedure itself was a bit uncomfortable, especially on my neck. I was told I am a good candidate so I'm hoping for good results - I know it takes about 6 months to really see the difference. I haven't noticed much skin tightening on neck or face as of yet (one month after procedure as I write this). I'm scheduled for my Thermage belly treatment and another hair removal treatment next week. The service has always been good. The staff very friendly. They get me in on time for my appointments. Scheduling has been relatively easy. So far I have had a great experience. I will update my review in a few months once I begin to see results from the Thermage (fingers crossed). read more

Ugh. Worse than dealing with Comcast. I have spent months trying to get treatment here and have still not had one. I had to schedule my first appointment 3 weeks out. I got there, they made me wait more than 1 hour after my scheduled time, then met with me for 5 minutes to give me a paper about how to prepare for my treatment, which I would have to now schedule. Why? They could have sent me that info in an email. I had to wait another 4 weeks to get an appointment. This time, my fault, I arrived 10 minutes late. They said there is no way they could squeeze me in, even though the treatment would last "10-15 mins" and I would have to come back another time. If you call to schedule, they will tell you they will call you back, but they won't. If you leave a voicemail about scheduling, they will ignore it. I bought a Groupon for this place, but I think I am going to walk away from my $450. Not worth the headaches. read more

OK. When I came back for Laser the MD assistance Lasli pushed me to buy set of bleach creams first, when I asked her about chemicals, does it cause cancer... She did not answer my questions. And I still do not understand why Laser does not work on my pigmented skin but chemicals will work better. They wanted me to pay twice I guess. I felt I was fooled and they took advantage of me because I do not speak good English. I work in health care I do know what does mean to be professional.
