To prepare for a photoshoot, I recently had a laser hair removal appointment. The people working here were great. I appreciated their attention to cleanliness. They took my temperature and the technician had a fitted mask as well as a clear face guard. Everything was wiped down between guests and they went over the paperwork on the phone before the appointment to ensure people were in and out quickly. The session itself was great. I have been waiting on a refund for services for MONTHS and I was informed by Corporate that this issue was going to be taken care of.And it hasn't I had put a hold on services during the Covid Shutdown and they said that was fine and then shortly after finding out I was no longer employed at my job because of Covid Layoffs I decided I had to cancel. This is affecting my credit and I am tired of all the runaround and waiting games. Corporate should follow through and do as was informed! I purchased a Groupon to test this place out after coming in for a consultation. I was blown away at the level of service during the consult, but I wasn't ready to get started in preparation for my wedding. I saw their 3 pack of facials come up on Groupon and I was excited to give this place a try. I have a decent amount of freckles on my face and I've had IPL facials in the past with amazing results. I received two at Laser Away, and did not see any results at all after the first treatment. When I arrived for my second treatment, I let them know my concern of the low setting setting - but yet again I saw little to no results. As mentioned, I have had amazing results from IPL facials in the past so I know my skin reacts well to them. Rushed appts. They only allow 15 minutes for underarm treatments and it shows. I fit the ideal candidate description for laser hair removal (ie: fair skin, dark hair) and after months of appts I can barely tell a difference. I don't know why I came here in the first place. I wouldn't go to great clips for a quality haircut and I shouldn't have gone to Laser Away expecting a certain level of quality/professionalism either. read more

I recently went into this location for my lip injections. The service was great from the initial call to follow ups. My nurse Rayma was the best! She helped me with calming down my nerves prior to injection and explained to me step by step what she would be doing as well as going through everything during the procedure and even after I left the spa! I want to start out by saying I am only writing this review as a warning to future customers- specifically for Cool-Sculpting only! I recently did the cool sculpting at this location, my consult was over the phone due to Covid. During this consult I sent pictures to what I believed was the secretary, who worked with me throughout this process, and she forwarded them to the nurse practitioner. I was told it was recommended I received TWO sessions. Because this is a larger payment (came out to $750 per applicator) I decided to do the payment plan which consists of taking a loan out basically. I trusted the process which was my mistake, it was very clearly explained to me that this first session was $750 and my second one was the next $750 so I agreed to owing Laseraway that much (in loan-format through Allylending). This is where the problem began, as a newbie to cool-sculpting, my understanding was again, this first session was $750 and I would come back in 3 months to do the next. The first session went well but I did take note that they wanted to use to "petite" applicator on me since I did not have a lot of fat in the area I wanted sculpted. I was never asked if this was okay. Since it was a smaller applicator they did it TWICE in this session to cover the area, which is a huge thing NOT to mention becuase this cost me $750 without me being aware of it. As I was leaving I checked in with the secretary desk, still unaware that I was just charged $1500, and I asked them what my options were if I decided not to do a second session because to my understanding I had $750 left that I could potentially not want to use if I was satisfied with my results from the first session. She had my profile pulled up, which showed that I had $1500 in there from the loan, and explained since I agreed to a loan that I can not be refunded the $750 if I don't want to do another session (understandable) but can use it towards other services at the spa. I went 3 months thinking that if I decided not to do another session I could use my remaining $750 towards something else. The whole catch being that I never had that $750 in my account. They took the entire $1500 for the first session without my knowledge. Due to covid and a lot of communication being over the phone I truly understand how there can be miscommunication and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that this was truly just a misunderstanding. I left there after my 3 month follow up feeling like I was scammed. I thought how can I not be aware that I was charged $1500 for my first session with them when I was originally told I was paying for two sessions. As far as the cool sculpting - I didn't see much results after the first session. I did it on my lower abdomen and I am on the slimmer side, and did not see any difference. I was going to do another session since the nurse explained that sometimes that area is stubborn especially if there's not much fat. But I won't be doing another one due to this situation. read more

I just moved back to Chicago during the pandemic and was looking for a new place to continue my laser treatments - LaserAway went above and beyond to make this a seamless and comfortable experience. First, the ladies at the front desk were super helpful and friendly in finding me packages that are very reasonable in price and worked well for my needs. In addition, the technician was excellent - she's a nurse practitioner and was very thorough and knowledgeable, especially about ensuring that the process was as safe as possible for me (a woman of color). Finally, this is honestly the least painful laser session I've ever had - she had ice packs, stress balls and, best of all, the laser she used emits a cold blast of air while she works so for some portions, I couldn't feel anything at all. I honestly can't get over the fact I spent 2k on a laser hair removal treatment package that didn't even work, that I'm still paying on till this day! The biggest waste of time ever I was told to come back every four weeks for a one time appointment which was totally not beneficial to me because I grow a rapidly between 2 to 3 days. They told me because the safety reasons they would like for me to come back every four weeks but the laser is so weak it barely even touched my hair follicle so for the fact I have to come back every four weeks with my hair grows back every 2 to 3 days was a complete waste of money biggest waste of time. If your hair grows back faster than less than a week I do highly recommend you do not book a glaze hair remover service it would not touch your hair follicle whatsoever I'm still going through ingrown hair still growing through hate facial hair growth and this is very frustrating because I don't feel like I'm my best self. Service was not bad but the package deal and laser hair removal service was terrible I do not recommend you waste your money on something so expensive that does not work. read more
