Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk today was extremely disappointing. I scheduled an appointment last Friday for today at 10:30 AM. I arrived 10 minutes early, checked in, and waited. After some time, I was told by the receptionist that I did not have an appointment. I explained that I had called to schedule it and even showed my phone records as proof. Rather than trying to resolve the issue or look into what may have gone wrong, she repeatedly insisted that I did not have an appointment. When I suggested she check with the staff member who handled scheduling that day, she dismissively stated she didn't need to "have a conversation about something that never happened." At that point, the situation became less about the appointment and more about her approach. Her tone was condescending and unprofessional. When she said, "Anyways, so you were supposed to have an appointment at 10:30?" it felt dismissive and disrespectful--especially given that I was calmly trying to explain and provide proof. As a medical professional of 14 years, I understand that scheduling errors can happen. However, how those situations are handled is what matters. I would never speak to a patient this way, especially in a healthcare setting where empathy and professionalism should be the standard. Because of this interaction alone, I chose to leave and not proceed with the appointment. It's very unfortunate, bc I genuinely think highly of Dr. Danek, but this experience with the front desk staff is enough for me to not return again unless it's rectified.

Kelly is PHENOMENAL and great at what she does. I have had GREAT results with the IPL laser hair removal. My ONLY complaint is that this laser is broken more often than not. I am in the middle of a 12 month Groupon & 80% of my appointments have been cancelled due to the IPL laser being broken. Then the worst part is that there are rather large waiting lists to get appointments (no problem when you make them 6 weeks in advance but to get an immediate appt to make up for the cancelled appt is not easy) and because the appointments are 1hr appts for large areas, I generally don't get in until my next appt. I am assuming and hoping that they will extend my groupon due to being on a 12 month time limit & this week was my 4th cancelled appt since August (due to the IPL being broken). I have not yet asked about this so I cannot say yet, but I will write another review either way. Due to the large response to groupon, (I know the businesses don't make much from groupon) but I would wish that they would buy a new IPL machine rather than dealing with this one and having to continually cancel appointments. I will also add that due to the fact that I am not having regularly spaced 6-8 week appts on these areas, I am NOT having the good results that I was having with my face. In response to the other reviews I've been reading on here...most of them don't make sense to me. I've NEVER waited more than 5 minutes, I've never had a problem getting thru on the phone, I've ALWAYS gotten reminder calls (Dawn is great about that), and whoever said they were unprofessional I find hard to believe. Yes there is a wait to get an appt, but let me ask you this...when I call a salon and they can give me any date or time I want, I would wonder why..when a salon is good, it is hard to get an appt. Also to the ppl that were saying that they didn't have good results, it may be related to the hair color, skin color, etc, but you do need more than 6 months, it's not magic. I had a face full of hair (like a guy) and I did 2 years straight of laser here and it's about 90% gone!!! To get rid of it I would do 10 more years if I had to! It's embarrassing and no price is too high to make me feel good about myself. I have referred people to this spa and they have all been very pleased--but all with the same complaint as me, THEY NEED A NEW IPL LASER! ;)

You might as well throw your money down the toilet. The laser hair removal techs as nice as they were BOTH assured me that six sessions is all I would need and that that using two different lasers would indeed provide the best results. Overtime I kept saying the hair is growing back the same and they BOTH kept reassuring me that just wait until the sixth session for the full results. Well at the last and final session the tech tried to sell me an additional package and changed her tune and stated six sessions is never enough to see results! I reminded her of the previous conversations we had and she just stared at me with a blank look. This place makes promises they can't keep and is a complete waste of time and money. I have friends that have gone to different places and have much better results. My only advice is to look at the reviews of so many others on the so-called med spa and go someplace else; this place is a complete let down.

Beware: May result in crying children…read more I took my son here today for a haircut he was looking forward to- a low burst fade with enough length on top to be curled. I explained his hair is straight and needed something that would look good both straight and when I curled it for him. I came in with a happy kid and left with one fighting back tears. As he walked up to me he actually said "That was the worst haircut ever!" The fade is good but the top was cut into a bowl shape that doesn't suit his fine, straight hair and sticks out at every angle. Also it's too short to curl with a .5" barrel so curling it doesn't offer a solution. When moving on to the scissor cut on top he sprayed a bit of water and then proceeded to YANK a fine tooth comb through his hair that had salt spray in it while my son was visibly wincing and saying "OWWW". When I looked up he was finished combing and then went on to ask my son "who cut your hair?" When my son asked why, he laughed and said "BECAUSE IT'S HORRIBLE!" He previously had more of a Bieber side cut going so yes it was longer on one side because he had a side part. Now I have a crying kid that wants to wear hats for the next month and know why a grown man was ripping a comb through his hair. Thanks for the kid haircut trauma guys. If you don't like cutting kid hair then pass it along to another barber in the shop.
