I've been seeing Dr. Danek for years, and I've never had a negative experience with her. She is wonderful, and I truly value the care she provides. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk today was extremely disappointing. I scheduled an appointment last Friday for today at 10:30 AM. I arrived 10 minutes early, checked in, and waited. After some time, I was told by the receptionist that I did not have an appointment. I explained that I had called to schedule it and even showed my phone records as proof. Rather than trying to resolve the issue or look into what may have gone wrong, she repeatedly insisted that I did not have an appointment. When I suggested she check with the staff member who handled scheduling that day, she dismissively stated she didn't need to "have a conversation about something that never happened." At that point, the situation became less about the appointment and more about her approach. Her tone was condescending and unprofessional. When she said, "Anyways, so you were supposed to have an appointment at 10:30?" it felt dismissive and disrespectful--especially given that I was calmly trying to explain and provide proof. As a medical professional of 14 years, I understand that scheduling errors can happen. However, how those situations are handled is what matters. I would never speak to a patient this way, especially in a healthcare setting where empathy and professionalism should be the standard. Because of this interaction alone, I chose to leave and not proceed with the appointment. Once at an appointment, it is typically 40-1hr wait to see a doctor, this is once they place you in one of the private patient rooms. 3. Rooms are paper thin and you can hear the diagnosis of the person in the other room. 4. Front desk is young, rude and dumb. They billed the wrong insurance, when I provided a new one and the girl made a copy. Avoid! Next, the discount offer I got in an email wasn't honored: I was told it expired. It was sent to me a week earlier and without an expiration date or similar conditions. BOTOX SCAM! If you are going here for Botox injections with dr. Danek just don't! It might be very attractive to pay $12 per unit but do yourself a favor, save your time, money and your face! Pay a couple of dollars extra and go to a plastic surgeon. If you have been seeing dr. Danek for Botox and you think you are happy with the results that means you have never had a truly great, unparalleled results. I have been receiving Botox continuously for the past three years and was very satisfied with the results, but the doctor/surgeon moved out of the city and I was left to find a new one. After coming across dr. Danek and reading the reviews, I thought I will give it a try. Big mistake! I believe most of those reviews are fake. Focus on the ones that are negative, they are really scary experiences. First red flag, I waited at least 45 minutes to see dr. Danek both times I was there. She didn't bother to apologize for being late. Second red flag, the "Botox" syringe was not prepared in front of me, she left the room and brought the syringe with her. So, there is no way of knowing if it was actual Botox as there are other cheaper products on the market, also, I do not know if the toxin she used was reconstituted or not and if it was, with what? As I ended up having a reaction which I have never experienced before.The way she was targeting the areas of injections was very questionable to me. But I still trusted her since she is an MD. She has a very heavy hand and was not targeting the entire forehead to maintain balance. If you are getting your forehead "done" you should also get the 11 lines injected as well to maintain overall balance within the upper face, otherwise once the muscles across your forehead are paralyzed and others are not it will create an uneven/imbalanced look. Which happened to me. A good injector such as a plastic surgeon knows that. Fast forward a week. The Botox (or whatever was injected) was not taking effect in a balanced way, remind you, I have three years of Botox experience, so I knew what to expect, but not this. I ended up developing two dimples on my forehead, one being quite noticeable and looking very weird. I came back for a "fix" and she injected more units to "even out" the "appearance". Guess what, the injection caused me such a big lump that I could not return to work that day. Mind you again, this never happened to me in the three years experience of receiving Botox every three months. A week later, the effect never took the desired outcome, the dimple still remains. Eventually, I ended up seeing a plastic surgeon. I do not know till this day, what she injected and how, but the dimple on my forehead is still visible. From the feedback I have received from the reputable plastic surgeon is that the injection I received seems so have damaged a muscle and created an atrophy that caused a dimple. Injection was not performed correctly and the question remains of the actual injectable product. When you go for an injection, the provider/injector should prepare the syringe in front of you, period! That was my experience always and it should be. I've been to the office a few times, for both medical and cosmetic purposes. No one does Botox better than dr Danek. She uses the littlest amount to get the best results, and if she thinks it's too much, she will let you know. her staff is friendly and well informed, the office has a good location. parking is a bit limited, but most of the nearby places don't even have one. dr Danek is busy, but that's because she's such a good doctor. I came to see Dr. Danek at New You Cosmetic Medicine Chicago as I was interested in a dermal filler for filling in the marionette and laugh lines to my face. I found Dr. Danek through Care Credit's website, although I do not have care credit. I was able to make an appointment to see the doctor quite soon, which i liked. I had another appointment scheduled with Lakeview Dermatology which I cancelled because Dr. Danek's office offered dermal fillers at a better price. They also had a special going on, buy one facial filler get the 2nd half off. The wait was not very long, as other have complained, as I do expect a wait when going to see a doctor. When meeting her I felt comfortable and relived, she informed of all the options I had and we choose the best one for my needs. She was very warm, kind, and friendly, and addressed all of my concerns. The procedure itself did not take long maybe 15 minutes, and I was pleasantly satisfied with the results. Plus I was able to take advantage of the "buy one get one half off" special" for the dermal fillers! Their office is also on the cutting edge of the latest technology for anti aging treatment, I will be returning in a few weeks for a check up and to possibly go for some new treatments they are offering. One is called a vampire face lift where they use your own stem cells to produce collagen cells, this is the same type of cells that can be made into anything and is on the cutting edge of science and medicine and works for cancer patients. Now stem cell research can be used for cosmetic medicine. I am thoroughly impressed with the latest technology of dermal fillers. And this is coming from the daughter of Gastroenterologist, and I am studying to get into pharmacy sales myself. The worst experience ever. My appointment was scheduled for 3:00pm and I arrived 15 minutes earlier to fill out paperwork as the first time patient. I saw the doctor at 5:30 pm. I spend exactly 7 minutes with the doctor that prescribed standard medication for acne. I had to buy the antibiotics and retinoid cream in the office and I was charged $90.00 cash for the visit. The stuff was rude and unqualified. Nurse assistant that was taking my vitals didn't know what c-section was and barely spoke English. Stay away! read more

Very very very unprofessional service!! I went in to get fillers and when I got them done, Beata told me that I can come back in the following week to get retouches. When I went in the following week, I was charged full price for those retouches, without even being informed that they would cost me anything, as I thought they were from the original syringe that I paid for on the first visit. So I had to scramble home to get cash and then came back, while the whole staff was laughing at me, which made me feel so humiliated and embarrassed. I had a scalp issue for a while now, and 4 months later after about 4 visits or so to Dr. Danek its fully resolved. I was very happy with her approach and her communication and explanation of what was going on was excellent. I have seen a few doctors to fix this issue and she nailed it on the first try. I was also VERY pleased with the fact that she listened to me and let me ask questions about what I have read on the net or what I should or should not be doing. Really was happy about that. here have been a few doctors that seem to just brush off what you are asking or talking about but she really listened and was able to put my mind at ease. I was misdiagnosed and needed urgent surgery in order to fix Dr Danek's medical mistake! I've been Dr Danek's patient for the past 12 years or so. Most of said visits were satisfactory, however, after I developed a uterine fibroid, it all went downhill. I had an ultrasound performed every single year following my annual gynecological exam because Dr Danek could "feel something". After each ultrasound I was told that I have a few centimeter lesion on my uterus....nothing to worry about and we will see if its growing in a year! Said fibroid grew to twice the size of my uterus and I never even knew about it!!!! I just had a lesion according to Dr Danek! Huge difference between a fibroid twice the size of my uterus and a lesion!!!! When I received my medical records from Dr Danek, the ultrasound results specified a growing fibroid for the past 5 years or so....and I was never informed about it! After my first visit with a new gynecologist, an ultrasound was performed and I found out a have a giant fibroid which was growing like it was on steroids. After a CAT scan and then another ultrasound 3 months later I was referred to a specialist who performed tons of additional testing and I was scheduled to have surgery asap to remove said fibroid. All of this happened within 6 months. Dr Danek is so busy making money on cosmetic medicine that she forgets about her real patients who don't appreciate being misdiagnosed and having to have urgent surgery in order to fix her mistake!!!! Please think twice when you decide to switch to Dr Danek. She caused me so many tears and so much pain....all of which could've been avoided if she only knew what she was doing! read more

I took time off from work, and once I got there, I waited an hour to see the nurse. Not the doctor, but the nurse. She asked me several times what procedure I wanted done. I told her several times I wanted a consultation. I was then told my insurance would not be billed, and I had to pay cash on the spot. (This is not what I was told on the phone when I made my appointment.) At that point, I walked out. If a doctor's office can't respect my time or my concerns, I can't trust that doctor with my care. I have been seeing Dr. Danek for almost two years now, and there is NOBODY that I would trust with my "upkeep" as I venture into my 30's. When I say that NATURAL is the number one concern of mine, not one person has ever noticed the slight maintenance techniques I have undergone at her location. I have had the vampire facelift, and it was amazing. I regularly get botox and a light filler, but she ensures that it is in the most subtle way; preventative maintenance. I am always getting compliments from people who cannot believe that I am in my 30's (and with two toddlers), and I owe this all to her. She is very sweet, and even one time greatly discounted a procedure I had a slight concern with. She really wants her patients to leave satisfied. After my last visit I have to say I cannot believe doctors like her exist. Not only did I wait over a half hour to get into the actual nurse's area, but I spent a good 20 minutes waiting for our lovely doctor Dr. Danek to grace me with her presence. This is the 21st century- stop overbooking and making people wait for so long when we all have places to go and people to see. There is no excuse for the long wait. But then again, when you realize she only wants more patients to get more money, it all makes sense. She pressures you into buying immunizations, and I mean PRESSURES. Babbling on an on about how her kids are all vaccinated and how everyone should be. I decided to be agreeable this time and got an additional Hepatitis vaccine. Wrong choice. This seemingly plain vaccine ending up costing me almost $200, but of course, she never even bothered mentioning how the cost would play out. She only saw me for maybe 5 minutes. That long wait, just for 5 minutes with the Doctor. That is unacceptable. I had several things I needed to discuss with her about my health, and it was obvious she was rushing to get out. The nurses there are rude and have horrible attitudes. I understand you're all tired, but so is everyone else and having such a negative vibe in the office is not helping anyone. I was trying to make conversation with a nurse, and kindly asked her how long they would be in the office for. She whined about being there through the night. It is clear that she is in it for the money. All her cosmetic procedures seem to be overtaking her whole career and it's not fair to the rest of us. I am very surprised with the reviews people give of this place. They must be blinded by her false "prestige". Take my word for it and make sure you are ready to deal with all the pesky situations that are bound to happen there, before you go in. it is already 4 years ago I been to this doctor, but I can't forget the visit !!! I was "late" to be Mom, so kind of highrisk pregnancy ! I had to wait for a long time and than when Dr. Danek finaly showed up I had no chance of asking any questions, she seemed to be in hurry! Why was I waiting so long???? I had writen down my questions already so I did not spend time on sitting and thinking about what I would like to know. Some of my questions seemed to amuse her which is not very profesional. I was a paying customer, pregnant woman and I did not recive neather attention nor profesional treatment. It was a "bad dream" !!!!!!! It was an unnecessary stress for a pregnant woman. I become a bit disappointed and frustrated during the visit but the only comment I heard from Dr. Danek was that I should calm down cause our relation won't work this way.....OF COURSE NOT, WHAT RELATION ????!!!! Nurses and receptionist were extremely rude and not helpful or accommodating. I was promised a call back an did not receive one until 24 hours later with no resolution, other than we cannot help you.
