This is a good place to come for some good Mexican Seafood but also they have tacos, burritos & quesadillas as well. In other words the best of the Mexican Cusine. We've heard about this place for a long time and we live very close so we finally decided to go check out this Mexican seafood restaurant. Well it was okay. Yhey were a little overpriced and their meals were tasty but not as good as I heard they would be. The cocktail de camarones and cocktail de pulpo were not as good as other places we've been to. I don't know how the food is. Unfortunately we went there today at 3:30pm to check it out. We were seated immediately but no one came back to take our drink order or bring us chips or anything. We waited for 20 minutes and got up and left. None of the waitresses even acknowledged that we were leaving. I think they need to work on their service. read more

My husband and I were super excited to try a New Mexican restaurant in our small town of Galt. There were two other tables when we arrived. Very quiet! The ceviche appetizer was ok, honestly would have preferred chips and salsa. The service felt very rushed. We asked for extra time to explore the menu and the server came back within about 60 seconds. Margarita was very big and very good but weak (not much alcohol which I prefer) The server seemed to struggle to understand some of our questions. She was very nice though. I ordered a shrimp burrito. It was excellent. My husband ordered a huge pot of spicy seafood. Very tasty!!! Food is good. Nice atmosphere. After the meal our children became fussy. I began pacing the room carrying my infant and toddler. We had to wait a very very long time for our waitress to return to ask for a box. To summarize. Food is good, but not amazing and the service needs a lot of improvement. read more

Where do I begin with this place? From the beginnig it was amazing we were greeted so nicely and sat down right away we came in expecting a 30 minute wait but were sitted immediately. Our waiter, Pedro i believe was his name, got our drinks rapidly and our order came out within a few minutes. The foodnwas amazing i had a molcajete and boy is that a huge dish i was full halfway but the taste was so good i finished it. They have a mega michelada which is a huge drink i did not try it but i will definetly be getting it next time we come in. Las Islitas in Galt is great! We loved the spiced shrimp (not sure what the name is). The menu had a lot to choose from. We were seated very quickly and the service was perfect, they really paid attention to us. The restaurant was a nice place to take the family. Also had a lot of televisions for all the sporting events. We will become regulars. read more

Honestly, I've heard amazing things about this place and I was not impressed! The food wasn't as good as people claimed and the service wasn't that great. I ordered a couple of things to try...oysters, shrimp tacos, bacon wrapped shrimp tacos, and ceviche. The only thing that was ok was the bacon wrapped shrimp tacos. Everything else I left behind and I was strongly disappointed paying that expensive tab for that quality of food. Sorry would not recommend this place and you will definitely not find me eating here again. read more

The food here is amazing. The ceviche is wonderful and fresh and fish tacos are amazing! I've never had the drinks but they're always huge when they bring them out! Went there last night, Friday at 6pm, party of 11 for birthday dinner. We first ordered drinks and had ceviches tostadas, loved them. Had a variety of dishes, momias,levanta muertos fajitas and a few more items. The worst customer service place. First we asked for no salad or beans and what do they bring us salad and beans with our food. When we brought it to the waitress attention she said what do you want me to do?! The. I found fish scales in my rice so I ask for a manager and apparently the waitress was the manager!! HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED. Husband and I ordered food and drinks as we sat down. We didn't receive ANY service for an hour. As I told them we were going to leave, they then brought our food out. We had 4 guests after us get their order before us. The waiters excuse was, " sorry it's busy". Then don't have a job you can't work dude. Went there for the first time for the canelo vs ggg fight they were hosting a special event. The food was definitely prepared in the morning so that way it would be ready for the large group of people they were expecting. And boy did it taste that way! We had ceviche that was NOT fresh, oysters that tasted sour. Very disappointed. Will not go back again. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I only got offered something to drink, me and my partner went in to watch the fight, the manager told us our RESERVED spots were given to somebody else. Pathetic, and to top it all off we never got a menu even after we asked for one. I understand they had a busy night, but they sure seemed to be attending the other customers just fine. Even the ones that came after us. We had to stand up through the whole fight. We will not be returning to this restaurant ever again. read more

My stars are for the service. This was probably the worst service I have ever received. I was excited when I found out this restaurant was coming to our little town, so this was a huge disappointment. I came here to order oysters I've been craving and they were all out. So I ordered 3 tacos of asada and my brother ordered a burrito. It took them 50 mins to bring me my food that I could've got at a taco truck in 5 mins. That was absolutely ridiculous. On top of that our server was not attentive at all. If I hadn't stopped her to refill our drinks, which by the way I had to do 3 times, we would've been parched the whole night. Granted, I was already a little upset they had ran out of oysters but to take 50 mins to bring out our food is outrageous. So I figured as most respectable restaurants would do they'd deduct the food from the bill but boy was I wrong. They didn't even have to decent courtesy to deduct the drinks or 1 refill off the bill (because they charge for refills by the way). It'd be a lie if I said I'd never eat here again because of my love for seafood but I hope next time I visit I will receive better service. I've been to the original restaurant in Sacramento and never received this lack of service. read more
