Golden Margarita and Pina Colada
Tony R.

Sadly, this is an updated review to my last review of this establishment. My wife and I have been here several times now. I'll start with the dining room. The restaurant has been very clean every time. The staff is usually friendly and welcoming. We are always greeted and seated right away. Unfortunately the food is hit or miss, sometimes it's very good , other times it's bland and lacking quality ingredients. It really depends on what you order. All I'll say is I'm not a fan of processed chicken. We were also disappointed to learn that their margaritas come premixed in a box and not made to order. I think the manufacturer of these low grade boxes forgot to put the alcohol in the batch we had. The drinks are a bit expensive for boxed drinks. Any way we may be back, but not likely. The search for good quality Mexican food continues.

Good red and green sauce and chips with the right amount of crunch.

Let me put you on this spot. I'm a foodie and this place has the best cheese enchiladas and charro beans I've ever had. No joke. I'd drive two hours for this food, that's how tasty it is. The prices are very reasonable and the place is unassuming in a small strip mall. Go get you some & support local!

Best Fajitas in Houston

Best fajitas in Houston. We are regulars here. Sometimes three of four times each month because of the delicious food and the friendly service. I hate to take time away from eating so I haven't checked in here as often as we are here, but you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I am so glad they have been here for us and our family.

Lunch menu Cheese Enchiladas (3) with sour cream sauce, rice & charro beans. all for 6.75. This is a modification of the original version.

Hole-in-the-wall restaurant in a shopping center across from Super Target. This place has very simple decor, with green booths & 20+ faux woodgrain tables with beige painted walls, which lends itself to a calm but open main dining area. There is a separate room with a bar & another handful of tables. The food here is less costly and the quality is equal or better than many other non-chain Mexican restaurants in the area. My preferred choices are - no. 1 order of 3 "Sour Cream Enchiladas" but, I ONLY get cheese, so no chicken and I request them filled with white cheese (usually Monterey Jack) and flour tortillas. no. 2 Shrimp Bravos minus the jalapeño also each plate comes with typical rice/beans or sub the refried beans for "charro" beans and all is well. The shrimp are large and fresh with tails on & filling **Bonus - FREE Ice Cream & cones in the back for after the meal! Cheers and see you out eating.

Chicken & Steak fajitas with a Michelada! Can't go wrong here!
Brian C.

Great food! Walked in was immediately sat! Ordered a Michelada (great by the way) and some chicken/ steak fajitas. Let me tell ya! These were amazing and came out fast! Onions and bell peppers were cooked too perfection! Slightly soft but not crunchy! Just right! Definitely 5 stars!

Basic, nothing special just melted cheese poured halfway on the burrito & "fajita chicken" is bland nothing smokey or charbroiled about it!

Always good food and quick. Las Cascadas is our go to restaurant when I don't feel like cooking. Their green sauce is great.

The is a great Tex-Mex restaurant!…read more First of all, they serve Puffy tacos, in the San Antonio style. Few restaurants can prepare these the proper way. There is great QC, AND management, here. Julio's wife, Elena, stopped by the table and checked in the food. She also told us of a wrestling event that was coming up on May 1. She was SO pleasant. Our server, Freddy, got the order in perfectly, even though there were 7 of us. The prices were reasonable. The food again was spot on. We WILL return! BTW, the watermelon margarita was wonderful! This place has become my most recent go-to when that little voice says - "pssst....Dave....Dave....i know you hear me....you want fajitas." Admittedly, I hear that voice a lot. In any case, I usually order the fajitas. They give you a decent quantity that tastes great. The meet is tender and flavorful and those tortillas had me at hello. I love this stuff! My son elects to go for the cheese enchiladas. I don't have to ask him how much he likes them because is a super picky eater and this is the one place where he actually cleans his plate. The margaritas are solid as well and when you glance around the restaurant, you'll see them on most tables. This place is a well oiled machine. There are plenty of staff and they all work unison to bring drinks / chips / salsa / refills / orders / food -- and that food usually comes out before I can feel guilty for eating chips, salsa, and queso. I found this trick that works for me. Since I 100% of the time feel guilty for leaving the place feeling so full, I started parking on the other end of the parking lot. This allows my to burn off 2.7 calories of the food that just ate so I feel 2.7 percent less guilty. On a serious note - this place is the real deal. While some of my previous favorites have either closed down or gone downhill a bit - Julio's has remained strong. ¡Salud!

From Ashley seating us to Victoria being our waitress extraordinaire it was great. I didn't really open up the menu, because I saw lamb chops on the cover. The chips were light and they had a special queso that was delicious! I got the lamb chops with black beans and rice. First, I was like lamb chops and black beans together?? but they pair well together! The presentation of the lamb chops was cool, as they come out hanging on a rack. They were so tender and seasoned well! The squash, carrots, and zucchini was fresh and crunchy. The beans were delicious and I added shredded cheese. I also had the Texas Redfish on a half shell and it was delicious, and the Shrimp were juicy. The food was light and didn't feel Like it was overpowering my belly! I also ate all my food, I rarely eat all my food, I had a happy plate. Special shoutout to the other hostesses Leah and Kendall !

I hurt myself on their chips and salsa. They never disappoint. The quesadilla was good but next time I will decline the onions. He mentioned them and asked if I wanted.
