We normally go to Krustaceans on 9th St.....but decided to try this place. Though I'll speak well…read moreof this place, the cost/value of this place - will (still) have me endorsing Krustaceans in Columbia. The seafood at this place, was cooked very very good. The quality of the seafood was a very clean tasting seafood. Even the shrimp had a nice clean flavor. And we're you looking for butter? Oh, they do (not) spare the sticks of butter at this place! The potato. Oh yes, I said "potato". I have never had a seafood bowl - have (just) a single potato. The potato tasted absolutely great. But 1 potato? That was a joke - especially after you see what these items cost! The garlic butter: There was plenty of butter. Tye flavoring of the butter, certainly was unique of sorts. Seemed to have (possibly) a chili powder base. And though I thought it was good...I also got tired of the taste, after a bit. The Big Downer at this place: Cost. You see my (2) platters. Add (3) cans of Coke - the cost was $150.00. Yes, that's correct: $150.00. Sure, there's a whole lobster on one of the platters. BUT, it wasn't that big by any means. And let's remember: 1 potato was included in the platter. 1 small red potato, came with it; at that price! Lol. Conclusion: Krustaceans is where you should go - for the seafood boiler platters. A much better combination of quality, value and price.

Tonight I returned to The Patio in Quincy, IL, a place that holds deep childhood memories for me…read more This was my first visit since the new ownership took over, and I brought my fiancé to share the experience. The professionalism and care truly stood out. When our food did not come out the way we expected, the staff noticed right away and asked for our feedback. The way it was handled turned it into the best service experience we've ever had. Everything was delicious. Best espresso martini we've ever had! I'm proud to come back to my hometown and see what the new ownership has created. The atmosphere and dining experience rival upscale restaurants in much larger cities, exactly what Quincy deserves. Thank you for honoring the tradition while elevating it. We look forward to many more visits.

What a disappointment! We had planned and reserved a wonderful birthday dinner with family, only to…read moreend up waiting two hours for our meals. There was a party of 45 being served, but the rest of the dining room was left completely unaware of the situation or the reason for the delay. A simple heads-up to each table BEFORE ordering would have been the appropriate and courteous approach. Our server was kind and did her best, but she was clearly frustrated--especially after sharing that the owner was in the restaurant DINING during all of this. Unfortunately, half of my family had to leave due to the unexpected long delay. After waiting an additional thirty minutes and repeatedly trying to get our server's attention through another staff member, and trying to flag her down , we ultimately gave up. My husband left $100 on the table to cover the drinks and a tip, more than enough. As we exited, he--being a restaurant owner for 35 years--turned toward the patio and waved goodbye, signaling that he will never return. It takes quite a lot for him to feel that way. This experience fell far below the standards we expect from any dining establishment.
