El Patrón has been our go-to place for years now. The food is always fresh and sizzling hot. The portions are great for the price! Takeout is always hot and fresh and the order is always correct! The service is always good and a few of the family members know us and go above and beyond! Javier always made sure to bring some food out right as we were seated for our toddler when she was younger and too impatient to wait for our order! We visited and were greeted nicely. Self seating..place was quiet and background music was appropriate for the atmosphere which was southwest. Chips and salsa was above average. The dishes were tasty and the presentation was pretty typical with beans, rice, and mexican salad. Chimichanga was good and a bit different than many others I've had in a good way. Tamali was also good. Service was fine and friendly...I would just check in more often on drinks. Value was good and felt our business was appreciated. On our way to another Mexican restaurant and decided to give this a try. We were seated promptly and chips and salsa were brought out right away, however the service became very slow after that. Someone finally came by to take our drink order which we then had to wait on. The drinks were empty and still no food and no one came by to refill. After a long while another person came and we finally got refills. Shortly after, the food arrived. The food was good but not good enough to be waiting so long for. They need to get better organized and also have an additional waitress/waiter to service their customers read more

We were here for the first time and I guarantee that I will return. Very friendly and good service. I had the Los Molcajetes special with shrimp, chicken and steak. It was quite tasty. My friend had shrimp and bay scallops with a cheese sauce. It was terrific. Give them a try and see if you want to return. Thanks for great food and service. read more

I didn't think that Quincy had room for any more Mexican restaurants, but I was wrong. Los Molcajetes has everything you expect: extensive menu, fresh ingredients, good service, clean appearance, and good portions. This might be my new favorite Mexican option, but we are blessed with lots of choices and they are all very close in price and quality. read more

So just heard of this place today. Always exciting to try a new restaurant.... especially in this small town of Quincy. So my bff and I decided to partake in dinner at this establishment. Upon initial entry, it was nice and bright (comparatively to the other Mexican restaurants in Quincy) which is a nice change. Almost reminds me of the Mexican joints back in SoCal. Anyways, we were greeted by a pleasant young lady who was super nice and attentive. I took a stab and asked if they had horchata.... by golly they did!!!! I believe the only Mexican spot that serves it other than the food truck. It. Was. Delish. We ordered al pastor tacos, chimichanga ground beef, and cerviche. All was quite the meal. The food came out pretty quick and hot. Oh yeah, they give you chips and salsa to munch on while you wait. We arrived around dinnertime. It wasn't crowded when we first arrived; however, it filled up pretty quickly. Note: if you park in the back, you have to walk all the way around to the front door entry. Overall, we were quite pleased with our experience and will return for lunch service as they have 5$ dollar holler meals!!! read more

Great food and service. Fajitas a' la carte are great for kids but really have enjoyed several dishes there.

Food is good.Service however is hit or miss. I keep going back for the food but the service can be so bad sometimes. They do not regularly check the front so waiting to be seated can take forever, I have had to seat myself there before after waiting for quite a while. I've also had to wait for my ticket to be given to me and to be processed up front. Do not go if you want quick and excellent service. read more
