    Mezcal mania!
    Maggie T.

Grabbed a quick bite before a show at Music Hall... I have driven past several times and have wanted to stop. I finally did and I was very happy. First of all - this little place is tucked away, nondescript, but is so cute. I felt like I stepped into a neighborhood bar in Mexico. There's a long church pew against the wall with tables. We sat there to have a good view of the whole place. They take the mezcal seriously. More options than you can imagine. We had the mangonada frozen margaritas--so amazing!! Love the tamarind tajin rims. Tacos were good--I'm always testing carnitas and these were great. Not fatty or greasy. Rice and beans were ok. The winner of my night was the Esquites. Super fresh grilled corn--it was not previously frozen, crema, asadero, and the ground Takis!!! Really really yummy. I love the elotes at Fuel City, but these are still street food but leveled up.

The food is delicious!! The service was amazing. The veggie tacos and chips were a highlight. We hope to be back soon!

Best margaritas in Dallas hands down! Super cools antique Latino pharmacy vibe meets day of the dead decco. Surprised out how charming and easy to get a spot this place is. A+ date spot, friends, or even showing off Dallas to visitors vibe.

Loved this place, I always pass by this location and have never been and it didn't disappoint. Pork belly chicharron melted in your mouth and elote was so flavorful. The staff was also so friendly, they kept checking on us, and made the vibe more welcoming and fun. Pablo was such a great bartender and so knowledgeable on mezcal and had the best food recommendations. Great, chill restaurant near Fair Park, great mezcal, live music, and so much fun. We'll be back.

My husband and his friend have been on a mezcal journey lately so we had to visit Las Almas. I tried a couple different mezcal cocktails and they were both well-balanced and delicious. The guys started with cocktails and moved to tastings. We decided to eat and wow, some of the best tacos and quesadillas I've ever had. Don't sleep on this place. It's legit! The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about mezcals.

We absolutely loved this place. Atmosphere was great. Good music, friendly waitstaff and bartender, comfortable seating inside and out. Conveniently across the street from Fair Park. Drinks were amazing. Hundreds of bottles of mezcal and tequila. We sampled a couple of different ones and they were all delightful. The Passionfruit Paloma was my favorite. For food we sampled a few tacos which were all clean and tasted great. Chicken Tinga, Carne Asada, and Beef Lengua. The Esquites had great flavor. The bathrooms were clean and the back private lounge looked like something I would definitely rent for a gathering. Next time we're in Dallas we'll be back!

Las Almas Rotas is a hidden gem for mezcal lovers and soul-searchers alike! This cool little mezcaleria feels like a mashup of punk rock edge and the reverent ambiance of high mass; perfect for the broken souls looking to lift their spirits with a shot or three of mezcal. With over 200 varieties to explore, there's a taste for every palate, from the smooth and smoky to the wild and earthy. The vibe here is as unique as the mezcal selection, creating a perfect spot to unwind, discover new flavors, and soak in a truly unforgettable experience. This is also conveniently located across the Music Hall at Fair Park. It's a great place to get your mescal fix after a concert! The food is also amazing. You will not be disappointed!

While waiting to go see Donny Osmond, we decided to eat here. The atmosphere and food are authentic. It's seat yourself with a rotation of servers which is unique. All the food we tried was so delicious. I forgot to take pics. We had the fresh guacamole and chips some of the best I've both that we've ever had. We also had the tacos and quesadillas! The quesadillas were the best we had all had!!! Margaritas were amazing! They even had a free shuttle to take us to Music Hall at Fairpark which was such a surprising bonus!

After having a poor experience at another spot we stumbled on this spot and it's a hidden little gem. We walked in and were told to sit anywhere we liked and just in case you are interested they have patio tables available. The menu is digital so whip out your phone and get to scrolling because they have lots of options. So let's start off with happy hour on Saturday? Well yes the offer this so it gave me the courage to order things I wouldn't normally get. Got the daiquiri Mexicano and when it was brought out I was a little regretful as it was in a small glass but that small glass packs a punch! I was going to get a flight however I was a little overwhelmed with the options. The table next to us ordered them and I snapped a shot just in case you are interested. Got the street tacos - you get to pick any two - sadly the carbs asada was a little on the tough side for me. We also ordered chips, guacamole and salsa. The guacamole was delicious however the green salsa was a tad too spicy (tasted like roasted jalapeños blended with a little water) for my liking. I was also disappointed with the rice that came in the burrito (we ordered it one the side) as it was dry and lacked flavor. This is a nice little neighborhood spot and if you like tequila I would say you should definitely stop by. Ask for Irene, she took great care of us!

Old fashioned made by Patrick the bartender, was lovely. Smooth, mild and so easy to drink. Music was a little blues, a little rock. Nothing to well known that it would alienate people. They have a small tv above the bar that plays VHS tapes--kitsch vibe. Robin Hood (Disney version with foxes) was playing when I got there. Food is small bites, likely made for folks to eat quick and bolt. I tried the deviled eggs du jour--something "Philly" which was smoked salmon, cream cheese, hot mustard (I think), pickled onions, pickled cucumber and some Asian sweet sauce. All of the flavors complement each other. Super yummy. Also got the house made potato chips. It came with scratch made onion dip and a little dish of pimento cheese (made from scratch) topped with that sweet Asian sauce. I did not love the sweet sauce on the pimento cheese. No sweet please on the pimento. Onion dip was nice since you could tell the onions were not rehydrated from a box. Needed a little more flavor...salt, pepper, any kind of spice? I also ordered an espresso martini. Too sweet for my taste. Maybe I was on a savory kick and was judgmental of sweet things? All in all--4 stars because of the vibe. Loved this funky place and all the patrons.

Walk in and make your way to the bar to place your order (re: that is both drinks and food). They not only have a full bar but also a great selection of craft and local beers. I kicked things off with an IPA and we placed our food orders. This place has a kitchen that is rockin' and has several vegetarian options that are not your standard veggie food. I couldn't decide so I ordered too much: Tofu Ruben, The McFib, and a side of fries "for the table" but lets be real-I ate almost all of them. After a brief wait my order came out and everything was fresh and steaming hot. I enjoyed everything I had to eat but no lies, their McFib was the star of the show and next time I'm going to order two or three of those suckers (side note: sliders come out as a single item per order). Service was great! The bartenders were very knowledgeable and happy to offer up suggestions and you can tell by the quality that the kitchen takes pride in what it does. Bonus was how great the place was decorated, we went mid-Dec and the whole place was decked out in festive holiday garb. Parking is mostly street parking or paid lots, that is: no private parking lot that I am aware of and the location being directly across from Fair Park means that from here on out this will be our go-to spot to grab a drink and dinner before heading to see any of the shows at the Music Hall at Fair Park. Cheers and see ya again real soon.

Started off the night with the mushroom croquetas which are locally sourced from a family in Rockwall. The orange sauce underneath was the standout and the dish had an excellent acidity to it. We then tried the duck salad which was my favorite of the night. The duck was tender and the pickled carrots mixed well with the savory taste. We finished with the pork shank pasta. I personally think the pasta was a little undercooked for my liking but it was still a good plate. The biggest highlight of the night I'd have to say were the drinks. Boom goes the dynamite is my pick but if you like sweeter get the velvet kashmire rita. Expect to pay $50-60 per person just fyi but worth it in my opinion for the ambiance alone.
