Located in the Boystown neighborhood in Chicago, this place offers great food, great service, and good drinks in a casual spot. We enjoyed it so much, we visited twice during our weekend getaway in Chicago. Featuring wood-fired pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and more. Even fun drinks like the raspberry mule (it came with a pink rubber ducky) and over 12 craft beers if you happen to be into beers. Food wise we tried the cheese breadsticks stuffed with pesto. YUM!! It comes with a side of marinara if you want to dip the bread. We also tried the arancini, which are basically risotto balls stuffed with peas, and mozzarella and parmigiana cheese. They are fried also. The chipotle lime chicken sandwich was really good. Came with applewood smoked bacon, grilled onions, white cheddar cheese and a delicious cilantro aioli on a ciabatta roll. The pulled pork Mac & cheese was yummy too. Creamy and crunchy thanks to the toasted breadcrumbs. The only thing we didn't try was the desserts so I guess we must go back to Chicago soon! read more

Stopped in for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Options are plenty - including bottomless mimosas for 90 minutes. We enjoyed the food and cocktails. I had the big breqkfast. The pancakes were great and the bacon was perfect. I didn't try the cheesy hash browns as they couldn't be made without cheese since they were pre made according to the server. The fried chicken sandwich was good but the gravy was enjoyed much. The eggs Benedict was tasty. Service started great and then quickly fell off. We were patient but it wasn't super busy. Looked as ifnoir server was also tending the bar. Checks can only.be split two ways. A 20-% tip was auto added for my party of 3. My local friends told me some restaurants in the are add a tips for parties of 2 or more. I may stop in againnif I'm in the area. There's a nice patio but I thought it was too chilly for me to enjoy. I wished there was a back door entrance for dogs instead of bringing them in past me while I ate. One dog and their owner sat at the bar for a while and they seemed familiar with the staff. Hopefully cleanliness is on the minda of the staff after interacting with the dog. read more

The service was okay, it was a super casual environment so I didn't mind at all. Good after work spot for sure! The food was good but nothing special or mind blowing, you get exactly what you ask for, nothing more and nothing less. What a cute place! A family friendly place smack dab in boys town! They even had zippy cups for the kids. So long as you don't mind the posters for RuPaul watch night and other themed brunches, this place is awesome down to the couches in front of the fireplace. Hello Rachel? The food was great. Tons of choices. Pizza, burgers and salads but not just standard options. Definitely more refined. And they have a cute outdoor space with heat lamps! There were food eating outside in November! We ordered the pulled pork Mac and cheese, chopped salad with salmon, the smash burger with tots and a chicken sandwich. All were delicious. Wish we had room and time for dessert. Definitely a place I'd come back to. Plenty of street parking for a Friday night. read more

Great outdoor patio, especially now that it's a little colder outside. They keep it nice and toasty out there-- but not so hot you'll feel like you're in a greenhouse! I've never had dinner here but the couple of appetizers my friends and I sampled were really good- try the totchos! They also have tons of great drinks although I'm partial to their Duck Mules because a) the only thing better than a Moscow Mule is a flavored Moscow Mule and b) you get a cute rubber ducky!!!! The only thing I didn't like was the non alcoholic Easy Goin' Watermelon drink, it was so sour that I couldn't even take sips of it. Still, one mocktail isn't enough to downgrade Lark below a 5 star place! I'll definitely be back. read more

My friend has been trying to get me to go to Lark for such a long time & I really like this as a fun bottomless brunch option. We didn't think you had to make reservations, but this was the first thing that the hostess asked, so I would 100% recommend making a reservation, because they get pretty packed. With a bottomless brunch package, you can't really complain much. The drinks kept coming & getting to choose between a mimosa or a Bellini is somewhat different from most places. I didn't leave feeling that I chugged a gallon worth of sugar with the orange juice either. The food for brunch is just ok. Absolutely not below average, but I wouldn't come back just on the food alone- it's really more of the environment for this place. Overall, this is a great contender for a top brunch spot in this area. read more

My friend made a reservation for this establishment for Sunday, January 19, 2025. The reservation was set for 2:00 p.m. I arrived a little after 1:30 p.m. and waited for about 15 minutes before the hostess finally came up to me and asked if I was waited on and my response was NO I'm still waiting and mind you this was while other customers where coming in and out. She said that we had to wait for our entire party to arrive. It was almost 2:00 p.m. and we were ready to be seated. To our surprise the patrons that were there weren't ready to leave so they ended up putting us at the bar. Waited there for about 10-15 minutes more until one of the girls said that she was done waiting and that she was ready to leave so we left. Object of the story is why have reservations set forth and NOT honor it! This establishment will NEVER see me again. Better places to see and do!!! read more

I was really hopeful for this, but the food ended up just being okay. My fiancée and I ordered delivery online and got a chicken Caesar salad and a Kick'en Chicken Sandwich for dinner. I don't have much else to say than it was good enough. It was all just a bit lackluster. With all the other restaurants in Chicago, this one just didn't stand out to us, especially since it wasn't particularly inexpensive. Honestly what bumped it up for us was the onion rings I chose as a side to the sandwich. Those were amazing!! My fiancée said she felt more satisfied after having one onion ring than after her whole salad lol. Highly recommend those, especially with some BBQ sauce. Maybe we just picked the wrong items to order, but in general we weren't impressed. Don't get me wrong, nothing was bad by any means, it was that most everything we got was just meh. read more

Solid place for food if you're in Northalsted. I wish the kitchen would stay open later because the non-bar scene is very necessary but it's understandable if that's not their focus or interest as a business. I come here when there's someone in my group who wants a sit down place for food; or, if there's a group that just wants a low key night on a patio with good drinks and some apps. Definitely a nice place to just relax and enjoy the night - while deciding if you're going to wind up closing clubs down or just going home and waking up feeling refreshed the next morning. read more

I love lark! They have an excellent menu, and every dish is delicious. Vibes are great. I am disappointed that the duck mules are now 14 dollars... if I remember correctly they used to be 10. It's a small drink and should not be so expensive. I would buy more than one if it wasn't. read more

Bottomless Brunch, say no more!! When they say bottomless, they mean it. I don't think my glass was ever near empty as staff was constantly filling our glasses up. The portions were huge, and food was good! They told us all their tables were full, so they booked us at the couch, which we did not mind at all! Drag show started at 12, and was a bunch experience. read more

The chicken pesto sandwich was delicious without any additional toppings (which is a big thing coming from someone who is close friends with the ketchup bottle) and the drinks were all amazing! The waiter also went above and beyond to create a special birthday brownie for my sister. It was such a kind way to make her feel special and highlights the positive energy of the staff here. Pre-pandemic, this was the only place my friend group ate at in Lakeview. Since the pandemic ended however, there is NO APPEAL to eat here the food is meh at best and the service is USUALLY lacking. The entertainment has become second rate with very little entertaining going on. I've been here two times when there was a problem, & the owner/manager handles it, but he's rather rude about it. There are other spots around where the staff will treat you better, and the food is also better to spend your money. read more

There were 9 of us for a birthday celebration. We were there for over two hours. The Service - Terrible. We saw our waiter (Noe) twice. Once when he took our first drink order, again when he delivered the bill. Someone else took our food order. The Drinks - Terrible, The Bloody Mary's tasted like straight tomato juice. Zero flavor, zero vodka, just bland and boring. Even if we wanted endless Bloodies, we could not have gotten them because our waiter never returned. The food: The Biscuits and Gravy - Horrible!!. The gravy was tasteless, the sausage way too salty. Several had the Chicken Sandwich, it was ok, Several had the Lark Breakfast, it was ok, Portions were small at best. The consensus was that none of us will ever return. We were all very disappointed. We've been there before during busier times ( Market days, Pride) and the service was excellent. read more

Bottomless brunch = totally NOT worth it. My friends and I went and paid for the 90 mins bottomless drinks. Our server didn't show up for 30 mins of that time, even after asking other employees to send him over. We ended up getting TWO drinks each over the 90 mins. When they finally showed up to ask for a third drink they didn't let us know the 90 mins was up and started charging our orders separately. Zero apologies or accommodations from management - we were forced to pay full price, even though the two drinks would have been cheaper as separate charges, along with the mandatory 20% tip for horrible service. We booked a table for 10 for a very good friend's birthday celebration on a late Sunday morning (11 am). We were seated once we had most of our party there and were settled in a separate little nook from the rest of the venue. We were worried it might be an issue with the performer (she was an excellent Selena, by the way) having to move back and forth between the spaces, but she was sure to stop by and even chatted with us extensively between her outfit changes. Would recommend coming for the drag brunch. Be sure to bring cash and tip nicely--they do carry small bills for exchange which is both excellent and convenient. The food was decent and our server was attentive. She made sure we had the drinks we needed (birthday girl celebrated with bottomless mimosas i.e., mostly champagne with a side of OJ). I had a coffee, a Bloody Mary, and the hot chicken with pancakes, the latter of which I thought it was juicy, quite tasty, and not TOO hot for sensitive stomachs like mine. The owner (at least I am pretty sure he was the owner) was sweet enough to have us move back into our dining room as we were leaving to sing Happy Birthday with brownies and ice cream (sprinkles included). I would be more than happy to come here again, especially on another more mellow Sunday morning. read more

Haven't been to this establishment in a few years and sorry to say was rather disappointed. Tried their "house favorite" smash burger. Average at best and that's being generous. This place used to be Halsted's Bar and Grill before it changed into Lark years ago. The old establishment had more of a "sports bar" vibe while this one feels more of a restaurant. I've been coming to this restaurant since the changes for years now so I must say that this review is long overdue. Overall I always have a good experience coming here, good selection of beer and cocktail menus, it seems like they're known for the pizza which is perfect to share if you're in a group or with a friend. I came in today with a friend for a late lunch/early dinner, it's been awhile since I was here and I'm glad they're still open, got seated outdoors no hassle. I had ordered Bloody Mary and Aperol Spritz for cocktails and it was good. My entree was the All American Burger with a side of Caesar Salad. Overall the food was good, the patty was a little dry and way too much salt as far as seasoning, the Caesar salad was good and my drinks were good as well, the waitress was very nice and friendly and the way they're handling service during the pandemic right now is awesome, most of the staff are wearing masks, outdoor seating is 6ft apart and they provide hand sanitizers as well, typically they do require reservations but we were seated just fine it's probably because it wasn't so busy. One of my friends suggested this place for drinks and pizzas, so we visited I few days ago. I am still amazed with their patio, not only because it was super cute, it was also well distributed and respecting the social distancing guidelines. We got a few appetizers, the breadsticks which were so fluffy and yummy, the fries (so crispy, I loved them) and the tatter tots nachos, which I am dreaming to get again! Also got a few pizzas to share, Margheritta, Prosciutto and Arugula and the Lark Lemon. The Lark Lemon pizza was a game changer, I just need it again and again and again. SO GOOD! Drinks omg, sooooo refreshing! I definitely need to go back to try some more of those cocktails! Not only yummy food and drinks, a pretty patio... Prices are also really good! Generally a great go to for food when I visit Chicago, however after my most recent visit I feel like it was a let down. The portion sizes have gotten smaller. The service is less attentive and the management has jumped on the Junk Fee bandwagon making them the Spirit Airlines of food. Subtotal, Tax, Tip and a "Processing fee". I feel like if you find it reasonable to charge a processing fee to take my money I should get credits back for "Data Usage" for having to read your menu on my on phone and maybe a credit back for actually coming in and supporting your business. read more

Lark was a wonderful place to stop by on a beautiful day for brunch! We decided to sit on the patio in the back. The tables are nice and big and can accommodate larger groups easily. I ordered a cocktail and eggs Benedict. The cocktail was made well and I thought it was worth the price. The eggs Benedict was very tasty and prepared well. Also, I shared a side of bacon with another person-it was not thick cut bacon, but it was still delicious. Our server was so attentive and pleasant! This is one of my favorite spots in Boystown! The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is amazing (they play Disney jams, 90s hits, Whitney Houston...you name it), their cocktails are incredible (especially the Sage Lark), and their food? Wow. I 10/10 recommend the Cheeseburger Pizza. Sounds weird but if you're craving both, this hits the spot! Also their chili is fantastic. Honestly eh. When we got seated, no one told us the kitchen wasn't open until they came to take our order. The music is not great, the drinks were just ok. I came with a group of friends on Saturday and had a wonderful bottomless brunch! The staff was very friendly, and the food came out quickly. I kept things simple with eggs, bacon, homefries, and toast. A simple fare which nonetheless was delicious. But most importantly, I never got to the bottom of my glass. read more

Never been more disappointed In a restaurant. Was expecting to have a good time with my friends while being here but the service from our server was beyond horrible. The pizza here tasted like chef boyardee! When you come here expect lacking service and awful food. Let me start off by saying that I have long resisted joining Yelp. To me, it always seemed like a means in which people could trash hard working establishments in the hopes of getting free stuff. Isn't the world crappy enough that we don't need to be malicious? Wouldn't it rather be nice to celebrate how awesome a place is?! So, here I am joining Yelp to praise my new favorite place... I've been to Lark now three times since it opened. I was hesitant at first because I wasn't the biggest fan when it was Halsteds, but I am so thrilled that I gave it a chance. I am literally SHOCKED at this place opened less than a month ago. The level of customer service provided is ridiculous and the food is really great. I've now had Queen (YAS QUEEN), Dylan and Jay as my servers. Each one took fantastic care of my friends and I. I've tried to order different things every time, but I have already discovered some favorites: Pesto Arancini, Bernardo's Favorite (pizza) and the Cubano. Seriously, if I was in prison picking my last meal I'd be okay with those. My friends and I also shared the Churro Ice Cream Sandwiches last time and it's crazy yummy. I don't drink, but my friends kept raving about the Raspberry Basil Lemonade and I was really happy that one of the managers told me it was available without alcohol. That really made my night. As a woman, sometimes going out in Boystown when you don't drink makes you feel like you are both invisible AND annoying, but I am glad that I've found a place where my friends and I can go where we are welcome AND are guaranteed a good experience. read more

Had brunch there last Saturday for the first time, and here I am on Friday thinking about how I'm going to have to make time to go there again this weekend! We sat on the patio, which is hidden away in the back, but is HUGE! We started with their Mimosa Kit which was such a great idea for boozy brunchers like us and followed it with standard brunch stuff (omelettes, french toast, eggs benedict...all were delicious), and we thought we were done.... But then pizza after pizza started coming out to the tables around us and we just had to try one! We got the meat lovers and it was ridiculously good. I mean, it's pizza and it's hard to mess up, but we managed to kill and entire pizza after eating a full meal so there's that. Service was good, and the staff seems to really enjoy working with each other. Normally I'd be bothered by over-hearing waitstaff banter with each other, but their personality with each other carried over to the table and their interactions with me and my friends, so I didn't mind it so much. I think I may have found my new fave brunch place! read more

Nice place! The menu was very inventive, meats were delicious, as were the toppings. They also had salad, but I'm not a fan of their portions; instead, I recommend the pizza. The atmosphere and service were excellent, and I must say that I was very pleased with my overall experience. If you want to try something new and different, I recommend coming here, especially given the reasonable prices! You can also make friends with the owner, server, and other members of the staff. I am giving this place a 3 - versus a for - just because the prices have gone up significantly since it was Halsted's. We had the beef and chorizo burger and a pizza. Both were good. Nothing special but not bad. I probably would have enjoyed them more if they were not as expensive. To drink I had the raspberry basil lemonade. That was tasty. The atmosphere is a little different than when it was Halsted's but not that much different. We had a nice time and the server was pleasant enough. read more

i went here purely because it's my name and I did absolutely no research before, but!! it was so much fun. we went to a drag brunch and had bottomless bellinis. an absolute slay moment. the atmosphere was pretty cool. didn't see the whole place but we sat at the bar and it was beautiful. all the people working there were very friendly and kept our drinks full to the brim. everything was slay. glad to share a name. read more

The worst spot ever!! Went for drag brunch tried to order wings and bottomless drinks. This little guy tells me I must order an entree but the wings and had the same price point as entrees. At this place clearly thencostumer is not always right. I will never the owner dismissed my complaint! I'm sure if I was YT I would have been treated better! Lark has been a go to spot for myself and friends whenever we're in the neighborhood. Our most recent visit was for Bingo with Vivian! The staff, food and of course Bingo were wonderful as always. We also had the Certifiable Apa and Uncommon Saison and they both smacked as well. The patio was a delightful find for the city as the surrounding garden tranported you somewhere else while still being quite clearly in the city. It is a magical space with very heavily oxygenated air due to all the plants on either side.
