Ordered a dozen of assorted cupcakes for my niece and nephew's 1st bday party. The girl who was working that day was very helpful. It can be difficult to find parking but the cupcakes are really worth it. Also, even if you find parking a bit far, the area is really nice and there are other places to explore as well.

Example from their website

Don't order anything from this place if you care about what it looks like. We found this place online because they had a cake that looked like what we wanted. We ordered the cake on their website and then called them to make sure they knew what we wanted. We just wanted to match the example they had but adapted for our son's school. Their attention to detail is terrible and when we asked them to fix it, they got an attitude and said it looked fine. They shouldn't be in the baking business with the quality and service they provided. Terrible

Dinosaur wasn't included but cake came out beautiful.

Ordered a cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday . Cake came out beautiful. Dinosaur topper wasn't included i made that myself :) I ordered the berry short cake I will say the frosting tasted a little different compared to the cupcake foraging but was still delicious:)

Nutella crunch cake

Really wonderful cake shop! Wed heard so much about Lark Cake Shop and were originally hoping to order a cake at their Pasadena location but found out it was closed and possibly moving. I decided to drive out to Silverlake and ordered the Nutella Crunch Cake (looked just like the photo on their website!). The staff were super nice and helpful and the shop was clean and cute. Everyone LOVED the cake! The cake was moist and we loved that it wasn't the same icing around the outside and in between layers. The Nutella filling was lighter than expected which was good and didn't make the cake too sweet. Also, the buttercream on the outside was just the perfect amount of sweet. We'll be back for a future birthday celebration!

Black and White Cupcake Custom Black and White Cake

I always love ordering from Lark and especially love their light and fluffy ice box cupcakes. For my friend's birthday I ordered some mini black & white cupcakes and a custom plain textured buttercream black & white cake. Lark does not decorate with flowers, greenery, or toppers so I added the decorations myself! The online cake ordering process was simple & easy and Melissa was quick to respond with details/quotes. The cake was ready on time and everyone enjoyed the cakes/cupcakes!

Ugly Cake

Not what I asked for Not a holiday cake Not even in the center Could this birthday cake be decorated worse? Also their customer service is horrible I was so embarrassed by this ugly cake that I spent $50 on Instacart to try to make it better in a hurry

Cupcakes! Lark's cupcakes are amazing!

I can't believe my Yelp friends have reviews for Lark that are 12-13 years old. I'm born and raised in Los Feliz and travel on Sunset almost every Monday-Friday. How did I miss Lark Cake Shop? Thanks to my sister, she brought some cupcakes and some ice boxes home and I was amazed at the tastes of these sweet and delicious desserts. Their cupcakes are sweet and moist, I love them. If you haven't tried their Oreo Ice Box, those are to die for! Layers of cake and Oreos mixed in, perfect for the summer heat. Lark makes a ton of cakes and personalizes cakes to your liking as well, check them out. The ladies behind the counter (8/13) were super friendly and sweet, thanks for the cupcake recommendations! Street parking, credit cards okay.

Smallest cupcakes $4 each. Super dense. Not good at all. Like a brownie in texture. Meh.
J'aime K.

The worst cupcakes. Smaller and dense like hockey pucks. I got the red velvet and carrot cake. Both had 1/3 frosting, hardly any cupcake. It made me mad to spend $4 per mini cupcake. Sad to have a subpar experience. Cupcakes should be a bigger portion, softer in texture and fun to eat. Meh.

Two tier cake, with flowers
Chriselle A.

Super happy with the cake and service we received from John and his team from the initial inquiry, to the cake tasting, all for our intimate wedding- we secured on a 2 tiered red velvet cake for the theme of "wild flowers" with the flower piping on the side. It was a hot day but they made sure that it stayed up in place. Delivered on time, great communication and of course, delicious taste! Thank you so much!

Inside of cake! Looks yummy. Friend said it was Fantastic and yummy!

Overall, such a great bakery that I'd definitely recommend checking out! Orange Blossom Almond Croissant -personally was disgusting, orange blossom was extremely strong. Too fragrant that it tasted like a floral bath bomb or soap. Some do like this but it wasn't for me. Tofu Cloud Croissant Toast -cream on top was pretty salted, to help balance the caramelized sugar that helps press the croissant into a toast. Overall, it wasn't wasn't bad but wasn't good and slightly too salted. Passionfruit Croiffin- texture of the croissant/muffin was great! Buttery, flaky and light. Passionfruit cream filling wasn't too sweet. I loved the tart passionfruit seeds. But you might want to scoop some out if you don't enjoy too much sourness. Elderflower Rhubarb Danish - way too crunchy, would prefer it to be crispy instead of a crunch. Filling was good, not too sweet. Black Sesame Parisian Flan -if you love black sesame, this would be right up your alley. Perfect sweet treat to bring to any auntie's home! Blueberry Tea Scone -not too dense. Surprisingly not too sweet even with the demerara sugar coating. It wasn't really crunchy but more sticky and caramelized from sitting.

Not sure if there is a consistent long line every weekend since it was a holiday, but my initial thought was either this place has really good pastries and cakes or it can be just all hype. As we made it in, you order as you walk down the selection of pastries then to the cakes. I ordered a danish with strawberries, chocolate croissant, almond croissant, tiramisu, and a yuzu cake. At the end we were pleasantly told our order came with two complimentary macarons so we got the cookoes and cream and passionfruit. Afterwards, we sat at the store to try the danish since we were hungry. Have to say it measures up to another one of my favorite patisseries that is located in Del Mar called Clemente. The danish texture was soft yet super flakey, and the thin layer of vanilla cream to strawberry ratio was perfection. It's so hard to find places that have exceptional quality croissant pastries, but this place is on the top of our list for LA. We enjoyed the cakes at home afterwards, but everything was so delicious. Unfortunately we forgot to take oir own ice packs and took a minute to get back home so the cakes slightly melted, but even after putting them in the fridge to enjoy later, they were so good! I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I'm not going to pay for food that skims on ingredients and shortchanges customers by charging more for less, so this will be my last visit.

I expected a high-quality cupcake. The cupcakes looked cute, but they were as dry as the Sahara. They should have been labeled as white cupcakes as I didn't detect any vanilla in them. I suspect that the "buttercream" was made with milk and margarine and powdered sugar.....so much powdered sugar. It was sickeningly sweet, and it was dry too. And a true bettercream doesn't even use powdered sugar. So not only were the cupcakes terrible, they were not even what they purported to be.
