I gotta say the egg sandwich here was the best I have had in a long time. Big, heavy, sturdy, some sort of nice sauce they added to it that gave it a nice zest. Chocolate croissant was great; beautifully golden on the outside and the chocolate inside was sweet and balanced. Ironically the coffee was just whatever; little bland but hey when in Hollywood I prob shoulda gotten a late or something. I'd say this is a great place to stop and eat and hang out if you need to kill an hour or so.
Le Gout is a solid bakery for which I have become a happy, repeat customer over the years. While a pastry shop with Armenian roots, Le Gout is as classic a patisserie as you can get, with a wide assortment of cakes in their entirety or by the slice, treats, and a dazzling array of cookies, about one third with a middle eastern vibe. I have ordered trays of their butter cookies ($13/lb, ~$0.65 per cookie) to several parties, and recently bought their larger red velvet cake (8" across, about 6" high, $30, served about 16). The cookies are delicious, rich, and come in a variety of flavors - a popular frosted and sprinkled butter in the shape of a pineapple, several disc and flower shaped with jam at the center, and several dipped sandwiches. Their red velvet cake was a true show-stopper at our recent party, with a rich, moist interior cut by buttery cream cheese frosting. The service is excellent; I always welcome recommendations and suggestions, and the associate who has helped me the last two visits has been consistently helpful, recommending cookies popular with children, and presenting a slightly smaller version of the cake I wanted in the back. The interior is clean and respectable. Where LeGout shines is value; while the cookies and cakes are great, their price is excellent, especially for the overpriced Hollywood area. To this end Le Gout is an especially appealing choice for anyone seeking catering or serving a party where a larger purchase is warranted. Truly, Le Gout is the taste of the town! Lovely local family-owned Lebanese bakery with seriously amazing cakes and pastries. There are also butter cookies and baklava if that is more your style. "Gout" means "taste" in French, not to be confused with the health condition associated with rich diets, but the offerings here are so delicious you may want to get checked for gout also just to be safe!
Always an incredible selection of baked goods for a very reasonable price. Servers are patient and happy to explain all treats and give recommendations.

I was happy to find a place that has some hard to find Arabic deserts that you have to go to Anaheim for! I got shabiyat (Warbat), zatar, knafeh, mamoul, sarkis halva. They also had ice cream ashta and even aish al Saraya which I was surprised about! I didn't ask her name but an employee from Colombia who was very informative helped me. Good selection of baked goods. Cute storefront. Street parking.

First time here via recommendations from the AHF Gym members located next door. Tried the Beirut Burger and it's fantastic. The service staff was delightful and thoughtful. Ambiance is casual and basic. The burgers are appealing in appearance and very delicious.
The Beirut Burger is soooo good, I really enjoyed it! The Pulled Pork is also great. There's plenty of flavor. Angela was really sweet, she offered great suggestions, you can't go wrong with these two. There's inside seating, some patio seating, causal type of place and nice music that's playing.
I love this store, but today I was very disappointed when I ordered the Kenafeh. The crust was off the cheeses pretty much and when I asked the worker she went inside and added crumbs from they tray to the top. I was so embarrassed to offer to my visitors. I think the owner should be around more often to teach their workers how to serve. I promised I will go back and show the owner.
Le Gout catered my engagement party and we were absolutely thrilled with their service and quality start to finish. First, the entire team arrived on time and began setting things up for our large event. They had also come a few days earlier to assess the placement and make sure everything will be arranged perfectly. As they set up they cleaned as they went and kept our home spotless. The food was placed out just in time for our guests to arrive while keeping everything hot. The serving trays they had everything in truly kept the food hot, fresh, and crispy as guests were served throughout the night. The food was absolutely delicious and we got lots of compliments on both the taste and presentation. Along with the traditional Mediterranean meal we also got knafe, coffee, and cake, which was all a huge hit. There was so much extra food at the end of the night and we worried about what the cleanup would look like, but Le Gout and their professional staff didn't leave us any work- they packed up the extra food into containers, put it all away properly, and disappeared like they were never there. Having Le Gout cater was such a fantastic decision- we got to just enjoy the party and not worry about setup, cooking, or cleaning up. The food was fantastic, service was five stars, and the entire experience was wonderful. I'd recommend to everyone I know!
An OG Armenian bakery in the Los Feliz area. They got so many pastries, cookies, and cakes on display in their store. All of them looked delicious. We selected a few cookies to try and our favorites were the shortbread shell-looking ones with jam filling. Super buttery and nice. The fried churros were also amazingly crispy even after being droused in syrup. They also do sandwiches so a great spot to grab a quick bite before some treats as well!
My husband and I were going to back to home, s was né my husband surprised me. He wanted to stop in this place to eat a sweet. It is a nice sweet spot, there is a wall really cool to take a picture. the service is very nice, you can see is a nice classy place to order a cake for your birthday. We brought home the sweets , and they were delicious! Not too sweet. The cream is rich. A little bit pricey, but it is a high quality.
I LOVE their Aish al Saraya and Halawet Jebneh! If you've never had them before, I highly recommend trying both. Pistachios with creamy soaked bread and cold cream all topped with rose water syrup! give me anything with rose water and I love it. As someone who grew up eating these desserts, it makes me so happy to find a place that does them right. There's a real sense of care and authenticity in every bite. The staff can get a little overwhelmed if it gets busy, maybe due to a small team working both the front and kitchen, but it's never been a major issue for me. There's plenty of seating inside if you want to stay, but I usually pick up my order and enjoy it at the park nearby. If you're a fan of Middle Eastern desserts or just want to try something new and delicious, Le Goût is a great. read more

This place is truly a jewel in the crown of East Hollywood. Drove past it for years without ever stepping inside, what a loss! I am absolutely obsessed with the pastries and entire menu. Flavors of rose and honey mix with pistachio, cream, and cardamom, and insane delight for the pallet. And don't get me started on the lunch menu, the Lebanese burger is something to shout about from the mountaintop! I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to indulge in these incredible treats, without ever leaving the comfort of my beloved neighborhood. Although I would honestly suggest making the trek from any part of town to pick up some boxes of Turkish delight, baklava, or lunch. And for ANY special occasion, THIS is the place to go for cakes and catering if you want to wow and please your guests. Long live Le Goût! read more

Adding to my review from years ago, still my favorite bakery of all time. We ordered a pistachio cake with white fondant on top for my baby shower and it was a crowd favorite! I don't even like cake and I ate a slice of it, the inside was so delicious like ashta and had a very authentic pistachio flavor. I wouldn't have gotten this myself because it's usually something I don't go for but I'm glad I tried it, highly recommend getting a custom cake from here and trying the pistachio. read more

I love this store, but today I was very disappointed when I ordered the Kenafeh. Le Gout is as La Good as it gets! This bakery cafe on the east half of Hollywood Blvd is located just a stroll before Out of the Closet Thrift Store on the same side of the street and a few skips before Barnsdall Art Park. Bordering Little Armenia, Loz Feliz, and Thai Town in the city of East Hollywood, Los Angeles California between Normandie Ave and Vermont on its corner off Kenmore with a fair amount of metered parking (about an hour during peak hours). Open from 8 AM to 7 PM with an assortment of chocolates, pastries, and baked goodness... Aside from Le Gout's staples they also have tons of bottled and canned beverages as well as fresh smoothies, coffees plus tea options, and a surprisingly filling variety of food such as wraps (Hummus Pita a must-have), sandwiches (like their Saj Manakish), crepes, waffles, and a hummus bowl. They recently added some cool vegan options to the menu and have a ton of vegetarian. Stop in for warm friendly service from this awesome French and Middle Eastern pastries + cafe. I just walked in to buy a cake for my mother in law's birthday and I asked the cashier what's their mistake popular cake and she advised me the strawberry shortcake. I paid $42 and trusted her and took the cake. She opened the cake to blow the candles and this is what we saw. The strawberries were rotten. Bakery is on point! So delicious! Bringing old world Pastry and cookies to a new level of perfection. The name 'Le Gout' means the taste-and the taste is well balanced with delicate flavors and texture. I love Italian cookies and cornettos, these Armenian cookies and croissants are fantastic! The coffee is so rich and balanced-not bitter. I don't need cream or sugar, black is perfect. Clean place, wide variety, FRESH!!! Friendly staff. I'm a fitness expert and I break my diet to enjoy these flavors! Soooo worth it! My dog loves it too! read more

Stopped in to get a gift for the Cardiac surgery staff at Kaiser. My husband had open heart surgery 5 days ago and wanted to thank them. I was so impressed with this Christmas Tree of cream puffs. The staff gasped and all said it was amazing. They were so friendly and helpful at the bakery! read more

My friend always brings a pie from here on the holidays. We got a pumpkin pie and I seriously athe the whole thing myself. The crust is one of the best crusts I've had mixed with the pumpkin filling. I'm going to say straight up as an accomplished, food writer and someone who had a radio show on food on the FM dial in San Diego. I cannot recommend this place enough it's a great value with fantastic desserts once again with unbeatable prices.. I had a fresh made crêpe with Nutella, banana and strawberry with a caramel latte it was perfect it hit the spot on a winters day. My friend had a raspberry mousse cake with a coffee, it was absolutely delicious. My mother being from London England loves Turkish delight and nugget candies they happen to sell a beautiful box assortment of candies which we are taking home for $30 The owner is from Lebanon and the woman waiting on us from behind the counter is from Armenia and had fantastic customer service extremely friendly. A friend of mine gave me this wonderful pita-like bread that's shaped with a handle and sprinkled with sesame seeds. I absolutely loved and wanted to buy more for myself - she told me she bought it here. So I went looking for it, the bakery is in a more barren part of Hollywood Blvd near Vermont, on the north side. Parking is on the street - so depending on the time of day, it isn't easy. It's really a bit inconvenient. When I finally got to go, they did not have the bread I wanted, what a disappointment. They have a lot of different pastries, so I thought since I went out of the way to get here, I'd try a thing or two. But the lady in the counter was not very helpful in suggesting anything. I picked a couple of things that looked familiar- it's basically an Armenian bakery - but have no idea what anything is called or what they're made of and again, the lady was no help. What I did get, I enjoyed. But if you don't live in the vicinity (which I don't), it isn't really worth the trip. Sorry..... if they had better customer service, then maybe I'd try again, but they don't. read more
