Larita Nail Spa - Nail art, perfect shape, pure talent. - Nail Salons Near Me - Temple, Texas

Updated review I just moved here from Florida, so this experience left an especially bad taste in my mouth. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon, and I will not be returning. On August 22nd, I came in for a builder gel fill and a polish change on my toes. Before my appointment, I messaged them on Instagram with the design I wanted and asked if they could do it. They didn't give me a straight answer and basically told me to come in. They did try the design, but the technician kept doing things differently from what I showed him and wasn't listening to what I asked for. He also couldn't put the gems on my finger because he said they didn't fit. I became frustrated and decided to do a solid hot pink color instead. The manager came over, asked what the problem was, grabbed my hand to look at the nail, then dropped my hand and basically said "Okay" and walked away. The solid color was also done poorly. The polish was uneven, with purple swirls/streaks throughout the hot pink as if it hadn't been properly mixed. I still had pink/old polish underneath my nails, and my nails weren't filed or shaped properly. My toe polish wasn't even the same color, you could see through parts of it, and my toes started chipping almost immediately after I got home. I left unhappy and posted a review, but then called the salon because I wanted to give them a chance to fix the problems. I returned August 23rd expecting the mistakes from the previous day to be corrected. Instead, after they started working on my nails, someone brought me a receipt for $95. I had already paid $87 the day before for my builder gel fill and polish change, so I questioned why I was being charged for another fill. They spoke with the manager and lowered it to $70, then offered $25 off, meaning I would still have to pay $50. I explained that I work in a hospital and live paycheck to paycheck. I had already separated and budgeted the money I had for my nails and simply did not have another $50 to pay to correct work I had already paid for the day before. They then offered to do a different design for free. At that point, it wasn't about the design anymore. It was about the principle, the quality of the work, the additional charges, and how the situation was handled. The manager initially spoke with me while my toes were being done, but once I moved to the nail technician's desk and another technician came over with the receipt, she stopped speaking with me directly and sent someone else to handle the situation. One newer technician was very kind and apologetic and said she would speak with them about it. I appreciated her kindness, but unfortunately, that didn't change the overall experience. I left extremely upset and crying in my car because I work hard for my money and had already spent $87 the day before on services I wasn't happy with. I should not have to spend another $95, $70, or even $50 to correct mistakes from the original service. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I simply wanted the service I had already paid for to be done correctly and for the salon to stand behind its work. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. The quality of the service, communication, pricing, and customer service were extremely disappointing. I strongly recommend confirming the pricing and making sure the salon can actually provide the design/service you want before paying. Update 08/24/2026 I just went back on the 23rd to get this fixed my toes are chipping and yes it's regular polish, but no polish should chip like this. It's only been a day and I'm not active and I wear sandals all the time. And it is already chipping I think this can tell yall do not come here. The work here is absolutely terrible! read more

DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to be overcharged and blamed and yelled at for it. I went and wanted the basic "express" pedi and got acrylic nails set. They ended up charging me for some deluxe pedicure. The manager even confirmed she knew I asked for the basic. She blamed me saying I didn't speak up when I was getting the deluxe and I told her I did. I asked the guy going my feet if this all came with the deluxe and he said yes. So then she said he must have not understood. She refused to change the pricing to what I asked for because I got the deluxe. She then promised me a $17 discount (even though I was being charged over $34 more. When I looked at my receipt she only gave me a $13 discount. I paid over $140 for acrylic and pedi!!! I called back and she yelled saying I can go back and they will show me the cameras where she said I'd be paying $17 more than original (that math doesn't add up). She was loud and aggressive when IT WASNT ME WHO MESSED UP. She told me she would Zelle me a refund and texted me but never followed through. Stopped responding. To top it off I wasn't happy with my nails! Update: I spoke with the owner and she apologized for how she spoke and did refund me the $17. I'm leaving the review so someone else doesn't go through this. Also I would not recommend Danny for a nail design as I didn't get what I wanted. read more

I love this place. Always welcoming and friendly. Very clean and great attention to detail.

Easy to make an online appointment, though I'm not sure it was necessary. My nail tech was very sweet, I wish I had caught her name. I got a gel pedi and it was honestly the best one I've had in a long time. read more

First time going, I had grown my nails for a while, I took so much care to not chip one before getting nails done, because I wanted to keep a natural look since I was just going for gel polish, she was chatting on the side, not really paying attention to what I told her, that she almost cut one of my nails off but luckily she stop on time, I was like ok maybe it gets better after this, she continues talking to someone on the side not acknowledging Me, grabs and pushes hand in a rude manner. She even stops mid cuticle cutting to get on her phone and tells me to hold on..... continues, she then cuts 1 finger I mention she smiles and then continues doing nails ( didn't like them) she was rushed from beginning to end, by the time I was done I had 3 fingers cut didn't get offered a drink. So stressful and frustrating. Sorry but not going back. read more

Decide for yourself. If you go in to spend money and get the bigger things done they do great but if you just want a cheap simple gel no manicure - you get this. She was done in 15 minutes. Absolutely not going back and had to spend money elsewhere to fix this 40.00 paint job Ray Charles could have done better. The photos are when she was done. They have started to peel today. read more

I wish it was possible to leave zero stars but one star will have to do. My wife went there for a manicure and basically had one of the worst experiences in her life. Her nail tech was rude, impatient, and basically left her feeling ashamed and humiliated. Manager on shift was near throughout this whole situation but did nothing to chill her employee out. When my wife's friend went in and chewed the manager out she didn't do anything. Asked what she should do and when asked for a refund she refused. Tech only did 4 of her nails before she refused to do anything about else. Refund is absolutely necessary in this instance since the service wasn't even complete. Top it all off the manager had the nerve to bring up that the tech was angry that she was "misgendered". Wife apologized when it happened but the tech had an extremely thin skin and took it all out on my wife. I'm sorry but if you look like a female (technically are a female) and don't tell your customer how you preferred to be addressed then it's your fault. read more

I came in for a manicure, the tech cut one of my fingers, didn't shape the nails evenly, proceeded to apply gel. Gel was piled on with visible bumps and layers, and painted poorly with wonky lines along cuticles. I had to wait for an hour for another technician to remove that off my hands and file my nails correctly. That gel disaster wasn't getting off my nails easily, as a result my nail beds feel sore from all the additional filing, one finger is infected due to the cut. That was the absolutely worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon, period. Manager offered 10% discount for my bad experience. read more

I truly hate leaving these type of reviews. unfortunately I was being overcharged by the owner Taylor who I've known for years and even followed from shop to shop. she was up charging me every time I saw her but becausw her work was good I didn't complain but this last time trying to charge me $168 for my feet I will never ever recommend or go to this place again. Make sure to review your bill! she will charge you for length even if short, charges for shape even if just square. Also throwing in extra $5 special fees for whatever. just greed simple greed. read more

Came for a pedi which was fine. For me the initial greeting seemed very dry but the worst part is upon leaving there was no thank you or come again. I've been to plenty of other nail salons that at least extend the proper courtesy upon arrival and exit. I really wanted to like this place but the customer experience as a whole is lacking. read more

I've been here a few times. The technicians are nice, and my pedicures have been good. BUT, the music they play is extremely annoying. They play annoying remakes. Why not just play the original songs? You're seriously stuck in a chair forced to listen to karaoke style music. Maybe it bothers me so much because I'm really into music. My husband says to just ignore it, but it's so hard to ignore something so annoying read more

This place was great for the first 2-3 visits but after they are becoming worse Taylor friendly some times, the late 2 times I went service became mediocre, I went somewhere else March and went back today just to give another chance because I know that Bella do good work but after making my appointment I went in was not acknowledged several ppl came after and was acknowledged then they finally ask what was doing if I need Design $$ for them was seated to do my pedicure was ask if have appointment for my full set acrylic gel I say yes with bella they were so rude trying to convince me I didn't choose Bell I say anyone they are lier and talk about you in there language I only did my pedicure was about to walk out but I stay and I made a appointment while I was there to get my fingers done at Estelle which I now going to take my $$ Guss there are mad at me because I didn't Tip the last guy that did a terrible job my money so I choose to spend where every I want. I had been going to this mail spa for quite awhile. At first it was top notch. However I feel the quality of service has declined as well as cleanliness. Have only used this place for service. I noticed a spot on my toe and asked the young lady what it was and what's caused it She declined to answer and continued to do my nails. I had my mails done again a couple of weeks later. A gentleman did my nails when I asked him he showed me a product for fungus removal and I had it on two nails. I of course googled the cause then started to look around. None of the tools were being cleansed. Not placed in autoclave.they are reusing tools on others. Needless to say. It will be a long while before I return. The staff are nice. But the health department should be notified regarding infection control and proper cleaning of equipment between consumers. Infection control issue for sure. read more

Not that great...the polish chipped the same day and for gel it's and extra $20. Also, I took my 4 year old and she got a pedi too, but they didn't treat it like a normal pedicure. I had to ask them to fill up the water basin for her feet, they told me it would be too hot for her...(well then cook it down) and her polish came off the same day on both her hands and feet. They didn't massage her legs or anything like she's gotten before. Personally I'm not a fan, felt like I wasted the money and my 4 year old said that it was weird. Yes she's gone to get pampered a few times and she didn't like this one either. I give 2 stars because the massage on my feet was great but I wish there was better quality in products and not so expensive for cheap polish read more

This was the 2nd salon I tried after moving to the area & it'll be my go to place from now on!! I requested the classic gel pedicure ($54) as well as a full set of pink & white acrylic nails ($69). I was a walk in on a Wednesday afternoon & was immediately greeted by Bella w/ a smile. I was then immediately seated, asked what I wanted to drink, & Bella quickly started on my hands as John began my pedicure. They were both gentle, efficient, detailed, & extremely polite & professional. The salon was clean, comfortable, & I was able to get a full set & pedicure in an hour! I felt very relaxed after John did my pedicure & am extremely satisfied w/ the shape, length, color, & durability of my acrylics that Bella did! The only reason I left off one star is b/c when I called to verify the cost of pink & white full set acrylic powder, I was quoted $59 & their website also lists $59. When I asked why the total ($69) was higher than expected, I was told that the shape costs $10 extra (the shape I requested & received was a tapered square). I was disappointed that my total was higher than anticipated, however, I was told that the extra cost for shape is only charged when getting a new set but a fill would be $54. read more

The vibe is off. I came here once and I will never go back. The owner is very sweet and welcoming but her employees are not. The tech I was assigned to was asking me questions (normal small talk) and directly after answering each question she would say something in a different language and someone else would laugh and respond in the same language. I am all for equal opportunity in a work place, but this was blatantly obvious. I left there feeling unconfident and sobbing. read more

I have been looking for a new place to get my nails done. Larita's was my 3rd place, and there won't be a 4th. Ana was amazing. The place was clean, staff was friendly and the price reasonable. So glad I tried this place read more

It's an okay place. The people are friendly, but they are too expensive for the gel polish to peel off so easily and within a couple of days. I made an appointment once with one person and because they were behind, I was assigned to someone else, and My nails were not cut down as I asked, and they were not shaped properly. One finger was burned and another was cut. I have tried them a few times before writing a review. I will say that I have never been disappointed with the pedicures I have received. read more
