I dropped one item off to be cleaned and two to be repaired. The item I dropped off to be cleaned came out great. It is a BCBG silk wrap. There were a couple oil splatters on it when I brought it in that didn't come out, but it being oil I didn't expect them to. Luckily they're unnoticeable for the most part. Garment was cleaned and pressed beautifully and was ready in just one day. The items I dropped off to be repaired were a flannel and a silky pair of pants that both had tears in them. Both repairs were done beautifully, you can not tell whatsoever. I also think they cleaned the items even though I didn't ask so that was very nice. Only took a few days. The ladies in there were also very nice. Ill go here again for sure. read more

I work in Fleming Island so Lapels is super convenient.. they do good work at a fair price. As a repeat customer I will get $5.00 off coupons which is a nice bonus. read more

This dry cleaner is AWFUL!! The staff is consistently rude to customers and, worse than that, they DO NOT have your clothes ready by the date/time promised. Most recently, I dropped off my wedding dress and the groom's shirt at one location, prepaid, and was rudely told that our clothes would be ready after 4:00 pm at their OTHER location. When I arrived at 5:00 on the designated date at the OTHER location, the groom's shirt was not there. The high school kid (who clearly had NO experience with customers) behind the counter gave me multiple stories as to why the shirt wasn't there. He was completely unapologetic and did not care that our wedding was in a few days. This is the 2nd time (out of 2) that Lapels failed to meet a deadline. Despite their high prices, their service is just TERRIBLE! Stay away from these con artists, and take your clothes to Dry Clean City, if you're in the Fleming Island area. B.Pace Ray read more

I have been going to Lapels since my former cleaners closed due to covid-19. The staff has always been nice and orders were always ready ahead of time. However, I recently took two medium/dark embroidered shirts I use at a volunteer activity. Both came back with white spots on the front and sleeves that were not there when I dropped them off. I assumed they were soap or maybe starch over sprays. Lapels quickly re-processed the shirts - twice - but the spots remain. I had taken them to my previous cleaners for months and the same at Lapels with no problem. When I discussed the problem with Lapels they said they had done all they could to to remove the spots. They later called and offered a $25.00 credit for future services. Having just spent $69.83 to purchase two new shirts, I declined because I am concerned about repeat damage. read more

Over priced, horrible ironing, rework on wrinkled clothing, poor customer service! I stopped taking my clothes there. I was a customer for almost a year.. NOT RECOMMENDED!! Never again!! I don't give second chances! There are too many good businesses that are waiting for good customers.. I've given your business a warning in the past, but obviously your never got the memo. More reason to take my business elsewhere. Good luck in the future and hopefully you'll be more engaged with your customers and employees.. read more

We have tried this place at least 10 times thinking it would be better than your average dry cleaner. Sadly, it's it's just that. Lack of attention to detail on the clothes are noticed frequently and this location has a very unfriendly staff in my experience. Maybe try smiling when a customer walks in and pays for mediocre dry cleaning? read more

This place is a rip off. They over charge you for things that should only cost $2.50 to dry clean. read more

I am new to the area, recently relocated from California. Returned from a 2 week business trip and went Lapels on Tuesday morning to drop off my dry cleaning. Pulled up to the drive thru window and gave Andrew, the owner my clothing and information to get into their system. He asked if I wanted my ticket printed or emailed to me. I said email was fine. I went on with my day, to my surprise a day later when I opened the email and reviewed the dry cleaning ticket, I Had a ticket with an amount due of $86.35. I was sure this had to be some sort of error, especially since one of the tickets indicated that I had dropped of 3 Extra Long dresses @$14.95 each for cleaning, 2 Dresses -lined @$12.95 each, 1 blazer @ $6.95 and 1 unlined skirt @ $6.95. Please be mindful that I'm 5'2 ALL my dresses are the same length- NOT LONG. The very next morning after the holiday (4th of July) I Went back to Lapels to discuss my dry cleaning bill, the Owner Andrew states that he made a mistake on the ticket by charging me 3 times @ $14.95 for a dress that had 3 colors in it. Agree his "correction" That same dress also lined is now $9.95 to dry clean. I ask again for confirmation, you're telling me that you charge $12.95 to dry clean dresses? Yes, all lined dresses are $12.95 to dry clean but remember he just changed one of them to $9.95 as opposed to $14.95.) I stated to him that's expensive, I didn't pay that much for my dry cleaning in California. He then proceeded to tell me he charged that amount because he used ECO-Friendly products. (That's BS)...so now instead of a dry cleaning bill of $86.35 for 5 items of clothing, I now have a bill of $50.75 for 5 items of clothing. I really have no choice at this point but to pay this price in order to get my cloths back. And I will, but I also would like to warn you about their prices. I will be reposting/updating this complaint for the next 90 days to ensure that I reach as many people as possible. read more

Very bad service. I pay 60 dollars but my clothes are in the same condition, the spots are still there, they only ironed one of them. Is too much money for that read more

Fast and very friendly but sent my husband to have 2 suits pressed, he came back with 2 still wrinkled suits. A little disappointing but I guess it explains the price (which is cheeaaaaappp). read more

Called early this morning about same day service. Since this is a drop off/pick up location only, she said it would need to be $30 worth for them to make the trip from Fleming Island to pick it up and I need to be there before 9. I gather the things I need dry cleaned, and get there at 8:47. Walk in, she says they can't do it because they're not on the way from Fleming Island. And now it's too late for me to make it to the other location by 9, not to mention an inconvenient drive. Very poor customer service. read more

As someone new to Fleming Island, I was pleased to discover a dry cleaning service close to my place of work and waited in the drive-thru to drop off some items. The employee was chatting with the customer in front of my car so I waited my turn. After a good five minutes of waiting, I decided I needed to get back to work so I edged around the car in front of me. As soon as my car started to move, the Lapels employee looked at me and mouthed "don't push it" with an unpleasant scowl on her face. I will not be returning to Lapels. If I could post my review with 0 stars, I would. read more

If I can do no stars I would, they lost my shirt, broke my buttons on my expensive shirt ( which I have never seen of all the locations I have used for dry cleaning ), clothes were not pressed I had wrinkles everywhere, over charge me and the owner is nasty and rude when you try to talk to her about issues with my clothes. Never again!!!! read more

They saved my life! Ok, well I wasn't dying, but they were awesome enough to take my dress on a Friday afternoon at 2pm, and have it back to me by 9am that Monday! Not only that, but they offered a discount just for checking in with Yelp, so I was even more pleased with them. I have used Lapels in the past, and always had fast and friendly service, but this just took the cake, and made me super happy. read more

Excellent care is taken with your garments. They offer local pick up and delivery and use products that are not harmful to the environment.

They ruined my clothes and refuse to pay for them! Stay away from these two Fleming island locations. Owner is rude and unresponsive to complaints. read more
