I came here twice, first time was for them to sew on a button I was too busy to sew myself, but it took them two weeks, they had lost the garment and no one could give me an update when calling. After paying, it wasn't exactly what I wanted but I was too frustrated with service and price to argue further. I figured I'd give them a second chance with some stains, they charged about $7+ for small stains or more (more than the cost of some shirts I had), and when I came back a week later after they advised it would take a couple days and being turned around twice, even after they said they'd call with update pick up, and more than half of the shirts I brought just had a note saying they "really tried". I took those same shirts and put some dawn dish soap and it came right out, really no effort so I don't know what they tried but I will never go back, this place is expensive trash. read more

This is definitely our go to for dry cleaning. Located on Watson in Buckeye. Very convenient being in Fry's lot. Met the owner 2 yrs ago and she was very helpful. The young man that works the counter is wonderful. Always smiles and greets you when you come in. I don't even know why we've given them multiple chances... worst experiences every time I'm there. The son is actually not terrible... but the owner, who is the mother, is a rude and ignorant woman. My partner had jeans cleaned with them, and was told to come pick them up Wednesday. He even waited until Thursday afternoon to allow for extra time. When he arrived that Thursday, this woman was rude and short with him, stating she was too busy to look for his jeans at that moment and to "come back after 3PM to see if they're ready". Completely unacceptable considering he was already accommodating and gave an extra day. He said that he was going out of town and needed them that day, that they already had them for plenty of time. She said "I'm not gonna argue with you" and walked away and left him standing there. My partner continued to wait, and said "I'll just be waiting here for when you decide you're not busy". She finally comes back with the jeans, which were creased even though he didn't ask for a crease. The woman probably spent more time arguing about how busy she was than the amount of time it actually took to find the jeans. I called later that day to speak to a manager about the incident after witnessing all of this. I find out this woman is the OWNER I asked to speak to literally anyone else that isn't her, as she was the person we had the issue with. She replies "no, that's okay." And hung up on me. Took two hoodies back this past Monday because my S/O doesn't mind the male staff member. Don't know why we gave them a second chance but we did. Hoodies were picked up today (one vintage hoodie and one white hoodie). The draw string on the vintage hoodie is completely gone. Now before anyone attacks me, I know there is a sign that says "missing buttons and clips are not our responsibility". But the hoodie is vintage and it would have been nice for someone to say "hey maybe take the string out". I've washed it at home and never had issues losing the string, so I didn't think much of it. Plus, the string on the other hoodie was still in tact. We went back and let the woman know, who took a picture of the hoodie and said "I'll call you if I find the string". Now forgive me for thinking this, but if you damn near threw a fit about looking for jeans, I find it hard to believe you're going to go looking for the string. When I asked for reimbursement, she said "I'll give you $5". Mind you, the service was $15 to clean one hoodie. My S/O began arguing and requesting that they go look in the back for the string, and stated that the service was awful. She literally replied with "every other dry cleaner will be worse than us". Like and then she had the audacity to tell us it's rude to write negative reviews about businesses, as that's how it can ruin a business. No, terrible service ruins a business. All this nonsense aside, don't go. It's messy, clothing is all over the ground, and it's dirty. I saw a lot of MCSO sheriff office clothing there. Expensive! Took about 10 expensive designer dress shirts. Went to pick them up and the lady (who's also the owner) couldn't find the order. She then accused us of trying to steal clothes from them. $70 to have four pair of shorts hemmed! Way to expensive, but most of all it 22 days to get them back. The owner got into an argument with my wife after two weeks stating that the delay was because of the 4th of July holiday. Heck that was a one day event. So maybe a one day delay, but nothing more!!! The owner also told my wife that she would call me when the sorts were ready.... Well of course that call never came!!! Amazingly she even verified my phone number of her copy of the receipt. I am loving this place so far! No issues with any of my clothing. They have relieved me of my weekly uniform ironing days. I take in my husband's uniforms, which are heavy and hard to press. I can never get the lines as crisp and clean as they do. Prices are definitely reasonable. If any one sees it as I do? It takes me 3 hours+ to do all of his uniforms and for $32 dollars? I'll save myself the stress. I have can redirect my time to other things around the house now. I am so thankful for them. I've also taken in special even gowns and they have done fantastic. If I go in right before closing, which I try not to do, they always greet me with a smile and with genuine welcoming vibes. I have personally seen the owners go above and beyond to satisfy their customers and try to make things right no matter what. Amazing customer service and a very quick return. I dropped off a stained suit that I needed to pick up the following morning for a wedding. The owner gave me her personal cell phone number to make sure I was able to contact her to be able to pick it up as early as possible. She didn't charge me anything extra for the expedited service. Since this is the only dry cleaner in Buckeye, there's almost always a line. I've only seen one person working, usually the owner, and she likes to gossip, so it can take 15 minutes to drop off or pick up. Also, you have to pay when you drop off (never seen this before) and at $8/shirt etc., it's very expensive. read more

This was the first time I've ever been to Lapels. I had 3 Alpaca ruanas that had been stored in a barn and dogs had slept on them. They were full of dog hair. I honestly didn't expect them to be completely cleaned. But when I picked them up they were beautiful! They actually looked brand new and they're at least 20 years old. I was absolutely thrilled. I brought in my very large drapes that needed to be cleaned of stains from my puppy.. In a very timely manner I received my curtains back, they were brighter than I've ever seen them before. Let me start by saying I've been doing business with this establishment over four years. It's currently under new management, I sent a 35 dollar t-shirt in for cleaning brand new! They ruined the decal on the front of the shirt and refuse to compensate for the damages. She ( the owner ) is a nice person but...she has very poor business practices. I would give this business zero stars if possible. Brought a cotton/linen blend sweater that was worn once. No stains, no issues. The establishment hung the sweater (called it a "blouse" on the ticket) in such a way that stretched out the neck horribly. The rest of the sweater, the hem and cuffs, was also stretched out. The sweater was an investment piece for a special occasion, so I was noticeably upset when I saw the results. The counter person offered to redo the sweater. I asked what the policy for reimbursement is for items ruined by the company. She refused to answer my question and said she doesn't ruin things. I called back later asking for a receipt since I paid for the dry cleaning at that initial visit to pick up the sweater. I again asked what the policy is for refunding if an item is not salvageable. She would not answer my question and tried to hang up on me. I told her not to hang up on me and reiterated my question. She said she would take care of my issue and said goodbye. And hung up on me. Well, the horrible Custer service encounter (the second bad one with the same person in the same day) made me decide not to trust them with a second attempt with my sweater. So I went in to get the item and again asked the policy for items ruined by their services. Of course, I was angry that a) I had to go in physically to attempt to get an answer; b) the expensive sweater was clearly not fixable--it was stretched way too badly; and, c) I am out the $$$ because of incompetence. THEN, she tried to blame me that they hung the sweater wrong. Mind you, when this business was owned by the previous proprietor, I never had this issue with my cotton nor my wool sweaters. In the future, will go to dry cleaners In Goodyear that have demonstrated an ability to clean one item appropriately. I was hoping a local place would be a better experience. Avoid this place if you have something of value or expense to be dry cleaned. read more
