Prob won't ever go back bc they didn't even care when I told them there was an issue. They serve their cold, which was expected. I tried to eat them cold but it was so hard to chew I just took them him thinking I'd air fry to see if cooking would help the greens they use. It did not. The stems were hard and stringy I literally couldn't bite through them at the restaurant. The lettuce had only the hard centers. It was an unrefined MESS. Shrimp was fine. Noddles fine. The greens ruined any hope of a good meal bc they didn't have the quality and no one took the time to trim appropriately. Told the waitress who said "oh ok I'll tell them-even after seeing my plate still had 75% of it left. No effort whatsoever. So disappointing bc Lamar county needs to have reliably good places to eat and their inattention caused them to fall short. Again. Re: pic is after I took the other home to try and heat in the hopes it'd make the stems and lettuce chewable-it did not.

We were pleasantly surprised. Wife and Father had the catfish which they both liked. I had the pulled pork and it was okay. I've had much better, but I'm not giving up: I'll be back. What made an impression was their sides. Huge sides! Like family baskets. We took tons home. We ordered the fried pickles and fried okra (check out the pics). The unusual part about this place: you order outside at a trailer/kitchen and then you have a choice to eat outside or go inside to a little house to eat. If it's raining on you it'll be tricky. They brought the food to us inside the little house where we waited maybe 7 minutes. Interior decorations lined the walls and gave you something to do while waiting. I didn't attend the restroom but it looked spacious enough. BTW, a ramp allows for wheelchairs to access the house.

So I wondered on over and looked over their menu. Lots of good options and I selected Cowboy Chicken Sandwich. I chose well. Nice thick crispy fried chicken breast, a couple slices of bacon, melted American cheese and a hand battered onion ring on top. I got the BBQ on the side since it was a to-go order. This sandwich did not disappoint. Everything worked. The BBQ sauce had just enough of a bite very good. The only thing I would do different is sub the fries for onion rings. The fries were frozen from a bag. The ORs were hand battered and d do good.

They keep the place clean and they make sure you have everything you need. We each ordered the #5 Fish 'N Shrimp Platter at the counter and were given an order number with a shiny holder to place on our table so they could find us when our food was ready. By the way, shouldn't there be a limit to the number of times "'N" can be used instead of the word "and" on a menu? Just asking. Anyway, our lunch was ready and delivered rather quickly. We had tarter sauce and malt vinegar for the 2 fish filets, which were tender, flaky and delicious. We had cocktail sauce for the 3 beer battered shrimp. I think they would have been better with a panko type of coating but maybe the beer batter makes it more authentic for an English pub.
