Best Asian in town. Not even close. New joint Still training staff. I've got Pad-Thai 4 times. Outstanding. Only one waitress tells me to select spicyness on scale from 1 to 3. Next gal says 1 to 5. Last two times it has been 1 to 4. Are thy just making this stuff up as they go? Sushi is fantastic. A little pricy for Paris. Biggest complaint is the acoustics. It is like eating inside a migraine. Cant hear anything. Cant place order easily due to noise. Place is just full of sound reflecting surfaces with no absorption surfaces. Advice to management: invest in some rugs. A velvet painting of Elvis. Or of Chairman Mao. Just something to dampen the sound reflections. Hang some flags. Do something. It ruins the atmosphere No beer or saki. But you can byob if you want. Ok tried again after two years, let them get the kinks worked out and all. The spring rolls which were the best part last visit was by far the worst. Prob won't ever go back bc they didn't even care when I told them there was an issue. They serve their cold, which was expected. I tried to eat them cold but it was so hard to chew I just took them him thinking I'd air fry to see if cooking would help the greens they use. It did not. The stems were hard and stringy I literally couldn't bite through them at the restaurant. The lettuce had only the hard centers. It was an unrefined MESS. Shrimp was fine. Noddles fine. The greens ruined any hope of a good meal bc they didn't have the quality and no one took the time to trim appropriately. Told the waitress who said "oh ok I'll tell them-even after seeing my plate still had 75% of it left. No effort whatsoever. So disappointing bc Lamar county needs to have reliably good places to eat and their inattention caused them to fall short. Again. The greeters and waiters were very friendly and accommodating. The two star rating is due to the quality of food. The restaurant is very clean and has lots of room. My family and I were very excited to try this place. Unfortunately the four of us left extremely disappointed. The chicken and combination fried rice was very over cooked and scorched. We added soy sauce and chili oil with hopes that it would help. The lol mein needed salt and didn't have much flavor. There's something about the chicken pieces that looked prepackaged. There's no color what so ever to the chicken. It' looks the same in every dish. The one dish that was tasteful was the broccoli beef. Unfortunately we will not dine here again. I was visiting my family in Paris, TX. We're from San Francisco. The restaurant is, umm, not too good. It's nice inside but the food isn't the best. Yeah, after living in SF for years, I would know. It's hard to spend over $100 for 3 people to eat and get mediocre service at best. Food came out at random times. Came in. 2 tables had people. The waiting staff were all at a table near the back. First, the wait staff was nice. Somewhat attentive, but nice. Food, not so good. Ordered combo fried rice and lo mien. Both were flavorless. No seasoning. Went at 5 pm and restaurant was empty so they had time to make the food perfect. This is the second time that we have went and both experiences were just ok. read more

We came over to Paris House from the original location in Bonham on the square and were enthusiastically supportive of both locations until the food quality and quantity, begin its inevitable slide into mediocrity. Things like using cuts of chuck in Chinese style stir fry beef dishes is absolutely a non starter-- to shavings of raw fish placed on sushi rolls in lieu of slices, is nothing short of diabolical. We stopped going as a result for about 10 months and returned last week for our final visit--which was worse than before. Food was greasy and unappetizing. Servers are always good and ambiance nice enough-- but it's never good enough to overcome bad food. read more

Sushi is incredibly bland. Had to drown almost everything we ate in Sriracha or soy sauce. Presentation of the food was also incredibly unappealing. Chicken in the fried rice looks barely cooked. After walking around downtown shopping, we decided on Paris House. We had Pho Dac Biet, Chicken Fried Rice, and the Tribeca Roll. The food was superb, and our waitress was highly attentive and knowledgeable about the food! The manager was also making rounds checking in everyone as well. There is plenty of seating for a large crowd. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Wish I'd gotten our waiter's name but she has really cool tattoos including one of an atomic symbol representing her son), she kept reading our minds "do you want to keep the sauces for your main course?" "Tea, soda, hot sauces" -- on top of our needs. The pan-Asian-fusion food was so tasty. What a joy for former Texans now living in California & Colorado to find such well made, delicious sushi in Paris, Texas!! We have family there and were delighted to have this stellar meal in the heart of our ancestral city!! The food was great, service was good. Food came fast and hot. Big portions. The only down side is, it's LOUD. No carpet on floors and no wall covers. All hard surfaces. But, it was over all good. The Orange chicken is enough for 2. And the Pho was very good. The Pad Thi was mild but, you can order it as hot as you want. Just need to do something about the noise level. read more

Sushi is very good. I was very surprised by this. Having grown up in Paris and now living on the west coast, I came in quite skeptical with my Chinese partner. My only complaint (and it is an important one) was the service. I ordered 2 sushi rolls. One of rolls brought to me was not what I ordered. I ordered the Hawaiian roll, not the London roll. The manager offered to do an express order of the Hawaiian. However, I still go charged for the London roll, in addition to the Hawaiin roll. So, really, the manager did not do anything to improve my experience, other than charge me for something I did not order. But, I will say the hawaiin roll was great. The service quality does need to be improved for me to recommend to others. Agree with another review, the noise level is a problem. read more

It seems like this place is going downhill, this will most likely be my last time eating here. When they first opened I had a decent experience with their food and service, I dismissed the atmosphere since it was newly opened and it takes time to get things right. Over time it just hasn't been getting better. The sushi is low grade with high grade prices. I've had nearly everything on the menu and it always seems like it's almost good. It looks delicious but the flavors just don't hit right. The beef has a weird aftertaste and the chicken was dry. I learned early on to substitute the fried rice for lo mien since the fried rice is flavorless, but they charge $3 extra for lo mien. The service was fine but not great. They're constantly playing 90's country which isn't helping the atmosphere, I'd rather not listen to Alan Jackson sing Chattahoochie while eating sushi. I hope they improve their restaurant over time. read more
