The combination of fish and spicy curry infused with coconut was a pleasure bomb of taste. Everything was great, but that dish was outstanding. Great location near Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum.

We ordered 2 cocktails to start with the tapioca dumplings and green papaya fritters. The drinks came out immediately. I had the Tincture Perfect, which was outstanding. It was the perfect mix of sweet, sour, floral and bitter. I loved it! My husband had the Unit 75 which he really enjoyed. The grapfruit bitters rounded out the sweetness of the Chambord and the sourness of the lemon. We decided to order another cocktail each just as our food arrived. I had the I Have a Lychee Secret. It was a little on the sweet side, but was very yummy. I loved the black pepper on top but didn't really taste much cilantro. My husband had La Passionista which was great. It was so well-balanced and flavourful. The dumplings were AMAZING! The butterly pea infused tapioca gave the perfect bouncy, chewy texture to the outside and the mushroom and radish centres were so tasty. Our waitress explained that they should be eaten in a lettuce cup with cilantro, mint and peanuts. YUM! Such a flavour bomb. The only thing I would have changed would be to add some sort of a spicy, salty, sour dipping sauce like a nuoc cham. The green papaya fritters were also just fantastic. They were crispy, crunchy and the dipping sauce was a little spicy and sweet. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal and would 100% return. I have already reccomended them to others.

Reservations accepted. We ordered tapioca pearl dumplings, crispy fried rice, coffee, and soy milk with grass jelly. The tapioca pearl dumplings filled with chicken, radish and peanuts came in five and were really delicious. The coconut crispy rice was made with crispy rice, cured pork, herbs and peanuts. We loved the texture and taste of the dish - it was very refreshing with the lettuce wrap, and combined with the house-made chilli sauce, elevated it. After these two dishes, we were full and took some coconut crispy rice home. Service was quick and friendly. Chef Dao came out to speak to us after our meal, and we could see the passion and love they put into each dish. Amazing Laos food is popping up in Toronto, and this is one of those spots. Lao Food Co also offers a monthly supper club, which is a three-course prixe fixe meal - which we plan on going to in the future. The restaurant is only open on weekends. Overall, we are excited to try this neighbourhood gem and would encourage others to try delicious Laotian food at Lao Food Co. Accessibility: two steps to the restaurant, no automatic door opener, sizeable individual washroom. Neighbourhood street parking, and some public transportation options.

For the main course, the beef pad see ew arrived piping hot; although it was a little on the saltier side, the flavor was amazing, and I loved the chili oil on the side. Service was super attentive and friendly throughout the evening.

This place is not far from my hotel, and I'm glad I came. The service was great- I was seated right away, and they explained to me how it works with ordering. The food came out freshly made to order and piping hot. It was pretty busy for a Sunday late afternoon, and yet I didn't have to wait long before my spring roll and pho arrived. The portions are decent, the quality is good, and the pricing is fair. They take cash or Canadian debit here. There's also plenty of free parking on premise that's shared with other businesses in the strip mall. I'd totally come back when I'm in the area again, and I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for Vietnamese cuisine.

I couldn't even pull it easily with chopsticks. I thought I would cry seeing all the happy looking customers around. Most of them ordered soups. My partner's pho looked quite good, but, as he put it, "the broth was below average, the rest of the ingredients were average." Regarding my Hủ Tiếu Xào Quảng Đông/Guangdong-style Stir-fried Rice Noodles (number 606 on the menu), I ate all the broccoli. The shrimp were small and lime juice helped. I totally don't appreciate flower-shaped carrots (didn't eat them, plus celery as well), and the worst, the blob of noodles had no taste whatsoever. For me, it was simply a disappointing experience, but the menu is extensive, and it certainly does not lack a variety of delicious dishes.
