Well well , so this has happened that my hubby and I lost our track and path and we found ourselves in this cozy , lowkey restaurant. Food is fresh , enough for 2 hungry individuals. I am not the PHO lover, but since it was just a try , I really loved the taste of broth which has cooked with Tiny slices of beef. Soup had rice noodles and nicely cooked. Not spicy at all and greatly garnished with cilantros and green onions. Hubby has ordered a plate full of tri-tip, plate included sticky rice plus a basket of sprouts and mint. Highly recommended

Spring rolls w/shrimp. Comes w/peanut sauce but I asked for sweet and sour sauce.

Delicious! I got the spring rolls with shrimp, red curry and Jasmin rice to-go. It's a cute little cafe style restaurant with big flavor and a full menu with lots of options. I'll definitely be back!

Wonderful little Lao restaurant! I was so happy to find this place while visiting Weed. Much like a typical mom and pop place with a nice selection of traditional Lao food, and authentic. I loved the pungent spicy papaya salad with pickled crab-not something I have every day and so yummy. The sticky rice was warm and fragrant. The angus steak was also delicious served with sweet and spicy sauce. I will definitely have to visit again and try other dishes. The mok pa (steamed catfish) is also a favorite. The sausage is also good however could use a little more flavor- just my preference though! The service is very friendly and chatty. If you like authentic Laos food give this place a try.

Holy SMOKES!!! Incredible food in Weed CA! I must say, truly some of the best Thai/Laotian I've EVER had. BBQed fried rice, pot stickers, yellow curry, vermicelli chicken soup... all sublime! Can't wait to return and eat my way through the rest of their spectacular menu. OH, and the positive energy and happy, friendly, helpful service was also 5 stars (really 10 stars) Wow... just WOW

Stop searching and drive to this nice little restaurant nestled in the town of Weed. The establishment offers a diverse selection of exceptional dishes. We started with the pot stickers, which were delectable and fried to perfection. The tri tip was amazing (highly recommend)! We also had a small bowl of broth with added shiitake mushrooms; the broth was masterfully spiced, unlike any other. The service is the best you'll ever receive. They are highly informed about the menu and ingredients. If lucky, you may meet Chef Phet and her husband. They are remarkable individuals who have crafted an outstanding dining experience.

Super cute Lao restaurant that you don't want to miss if you're driving through, visiting or living in Weed County. Food was delicious and the owner was really friendly. The restaurant itself was newly furnished with modern touches, yet still had an authentic feel with uniquely Lao deco touches. Prices are a little higher than Lao restaurants I've been to in the Bay Area, but still not too bad with most main dishes being under $20. Will definitely go back!

First visit to this lovely little restaurant! We both had Yellow Curry with chicken and sticky rice. It was a little different than other yellow curry that I have had at Thai restaurants, but it was delicious. We also had the Chicken Potsticker special and of course Mango & sticky purple rice! Yum!

A small bistro in a little town of Montague, this eatery is well worth seeking out. Clean and well lit, it is nothing elaborate, but very pleasant. The papaya salad is very tasty, as are the egg rolls. We enjoyed a Father's Day special (bao flight) and found it to be quite delicious. For dessert, we ordered the mango sticky rice. I highly recommend seeking this establishment out and enjoying what they have to offer.

We ordered the crispy pork belly with sticky rice, drunken noodles, and the fish with tomato sauce served with jasmine rice. The first dish, the crispy pork belly with sticky rice, was a mixed experience. The sticky rice was soft and delicious, just like homemade. However, the pork belly didn't seem very fresh. It had an unpleasant smell, almost like the meat was starting to spoil. Next were the drunken noodles. The flat noodles were rubbery and tasted like they had been left out too long and had dried out. The zucchini was bitter, and the only part of the dish that tasted good was the carrot. The last dish was the fish with tomato sauce and jasmine rice. The jasmine rice had a slight brown tint instead of the bright white color you would expect from freshly cooked rice. It looked and smelled like it had been sitting in the rice cooker for far too long. On a positive note, the fish itself was the best part of the entire meal. It was flavorful and enjoyable. Overall, the outstanding customer service wasn't enough to make up for the disappointing food quality. Based on this experience, I probably won't be returning.

GPS was programmed for a different place but we ended up here. At first glance there's not much to look inside the restaurant. At the time, the place was empty. We were the only customers. It would be a three star rating just by looking. You have to question, is this a restaurant and is it open? We were greeted by the owner/chef/server/greeter! A one man operation. Very friendly, personable and knowledgeable chef. A cool dude. I give this place a five star because of the food and the one man staff. The BBQ was spot on delicious. The Pork Spareribs (1 rack) with 2 rice plate (for two people) was juicy and full of flavorful smoke and Thai influences. The Three Smoked Meat rice plate was also delicious. The smoking and Bbq are done using wood. No charcoal or gas. You can really taste the natural wood smoke flavor in every bite. I'm glad we found Asian American BBQ by accident, I'm also glade it was not his usual rush hour time when we arrived! This place is a classic cliche phrase "don't judge a book by its cover." If ever we are back in Weed, CA, we're definitely be back!

We love how they emphasize healthier preparations while still delivering bold spices and perfect balance in every dish. Favorites include the Pad Thai, Panang curry, and anything with their fresh veggies and proteins. Portions are impressively large--you'll definitely have leftovers, which is a huge bonus for the price. The service is always warm and friendly; the staff remembers regulars and is happy to adjust spice levels or accommodate dietary needs. That said, be prepared for a wait, especially during peak hours or weekends. They make everything to order, which shows in the quality, but it can mean 20-40 minutes (or more) depending on how busy they are. Trust me, though--it's absolutely worth it.
